Infected Cyst

An infected cyst can be more complex to manage than a non-infected cyst because it may involve not only the removal of the cyst but also addressing the underlying infection. Infected cysts are typically swollen, painful, red, and may drain pus or other fluids. Common types that become infected include sebaceous cysts, pilonidal cysts, and epidermoid cysts.
