Most of the time I would eat an apple, or a slice of toast and just hold myself over till lunch. And then in college my sleep/eating schedule torpedoed

In the end, depends on your individual health, I guess. As far as the food pyramid, made by the USDA, goes it has changed a lot throughout the past and even then they had mentioned it was a too complex symbol for people to generally use. Most of the time now the pyramid seems to be used more for people who suffer from eating disorders. Around 1992 was when they finished a lot of research showing the USDA's pyramid was very flawed and promoted a bad mindset, especially on carbs and fats. Most experienced Dietitian say that the food pyramid was absolute BS. The biggest reason debunking the food pyramid is that Carbohydrates (cereal, grain based products, etc) makes up a massive portion. Carbohydrates are a form of slow-releasing sugar. If you have a lot of it and don't burn all that energy off by the end of the day, the excess carbs becomes fat (too much of anything is bad for you). A lesser known fact was that the whole food pyramid scheme was started as a form of marketing for... surprise surprise, cereal & wheat companies. For those wondering, if the food pyramid was BS, then how should you eat healthy? The wisely agreed general concensus is that you should keep your "fats, oils, sweets & junk food" to a minimum, and equally balance out the rest. As everyone is different, the recommended advice for if you want any dietary advice or a planned diet tailored to you, is to consult your local qualified, professional dietitian.
I spend my summers working at a fishing lodge in northern canada. Days are long early mornings happen every day and work is on your feet and physical. If you don't eat a big breakfast you feel like you will pass out about an hour after. It all has to do with how physical your days are. I ate like a king the entire time and didnt mind about any calories or unhealthy eating. I still lost 40lbs in 4months.
Being Mexican, alot of our food is served with rice. My mom will make great rice and cause of that, I have high standards for rice. So I always wondered if the Japanese have the similar mindset when it comes to rice. Like if I eat out at a Mexican restaurant and they give me shitty rice. More than likely, I'll never go back to that restaurant
I dont know how mfers can eat big breakfasts, but i can understand being different in general. Like personally, if i eat more than like a small sandwich and like some juice, i will throw it all up because it makes me feel full. Ive went to doctors about it and they basically said "yeah, just eat something at the very least" which i do try. Somehow skipping breakfast makes my entire day feel better though, which is odd.
I used to eat big breakfast then skip lunch. The advantage is that i won't get bothered by an empty stomach during my morning work which usually occurs in 9am-11am (where you can only think of food) if i had skipped. and on lunch i can just sleep, other people will have to rush to the cafeteria.
Why should you force yourself to eat breakfast if skipping it works fine for you? You're naturally doing intermittent fasting which supposedly is very health for your metabolism and health in general. There are plenty of people who only eat one or two meals a day and claim to feel great doing that. You shouldn't force yourself to eat unless your anorexic of course.
@@ASAMB12 A lot of people lose their appetite completely from other reasons, so it is necessary for a lot of people to force themselves to eat. I've been off my medication due to insurance issues, and my depression/anxiety pretty much eliminates my appetite, if I dont force myself I may go the whole day without food. :) 👍
Breakfast, i sleep. Breakfast FOOD, i wake (Eggs and bacon, heuvos rancheros, breakfast sausages, breakfast sandwich or burrito, oatmeal savory or sweet, yogurt parfait, eggs benedict, etc etc)
The size of breakfast depends on how early you wake before your job, and how easy it is for you to have a lunch break. If you do construction, ie concrete plumbing, a big breakfast is a must but if I can work from home I most certainly would prefer to have a slight lunch and moderate dinner. P.S. Cereal is straight trash (trashtaste)
Why is ceral the quintessential breakfast food here. It's not. The point of breakfast is to get some starch heavy food because it gives you energy more slowly, so you can actually focus working until lunch. If you don't eat breakfast you'll usually quickly find yourself not focus as well, or find yourself in a slump, which then people counter by drinking coffee. This is especially bad because it doesn't actually give you energy, it just shoots your body into overdrive, and doesn't last as long as starch, so once the caffeine starts doing its job and you crash down to not having any energy at all. Pushing your body without giving it energy is also not good, normally longer carbs like starch last you a good few hours with energy, which is why lunch is normally set around noon, because people need to refuel around that time again.
I need chocolate cereal or toast when I wake up in the morning. Fry ups are for weekends and special occasions and breakfast buffets are only during holidays if the hotel I'm staying at offer it. But I need to eat breakfast in the morning otherwise I can't function.

That depends on how many calories do you burn in a day and not all people consume the same amount of calories some need more in the day. for a great example if you work in a heavy carrying job or you are an athlete you need to eat some heavy food to keep you less hungry and for the opposite, you need to eat less for the stuff you're doing. but there's a chance your body has a routine of eating food including drinking and if you decide to stop eating the food or taking the drink you will start to get a headache it's mostly your body telling you to eat the food or take the drink because your body is kind of addicted to it. My body is addicted to caffeine so if I decide to stop drinking coffee or anything have caffeine in a week or 10 days I will get a headache but slowly over time I could feel it more often

While not "the most important" meal of the day, it is still recommended that you eat something for breakfast. After all, you are coming off a long period of eating nothing so a good energy boost is always nice to start your day and it helps stimulate your metabolism. Plus, skipping meals is never a good idea (unless you are fasting).
It depends. If you're still growing definitely eat breakfast but if you're a grown adult you don't need to worry as long as you're getting enough nutrition

The Alex Johns parody was awesome !! 🤣🤣🤣
As kid my family we always had porridge as a breakfast but as an adult I almost always skip the breakfast.
The sweetest things I would sometimes get for breakfast is: hot chocolate, honey loops cereal, and jam on my bread.
i just eat when I'm hungry but not until I'm full
I dont know how mfers can eat big breakfasts, but i can understand being different in general. Like personally, if i eat more than like a small sandwich and like some juice, i will throw it all up because it makes me feel full. Ive went to doctors about it and they basically said "yeah, just eat something at the very least" which i do try.
Somehow skipping breakfast makes my entire day feel better though, which is odd.
I used to eat big breakfast then skip lunch. The advantage is that i won't get bothered by an empty stomach during my morning work which usually occurs in 9am-11am (where you can only think of food) if i had skipped. and on lunch i can just sleep, other people will have to rush to the cafeteria.
try what i do, one banana. i usually pair it with wither frshly juiced pineapple or apple for digestion
Breakfast FOOD, i wake
(Eggs and bacon, heuvos rancheros, breakfast sausages, breakfast sandwich or burrito, oatmeal savory or sweet, yogurt parfait, eggs benedict, etc etc)
1:50 The fact that he prefers to say "Five hundred milliliters" over "Half a litre" saddens me for reasons I can't explain
I prefer a big breakfast to give me energy for my morning
The size of breakfast depends on how early you wake before your job, and how easy it is for you to have a lunch break. If you do construction, ie concrete plumbing, a big breakfast is a must but if I can work from home I most certainly would prefer to have a slight lunch and moderate dinner.
P.S.
Cereal is straight trash (trashtaste)
I just think breakfast has the best meals, I usually skip lunch or dinner
now I want to try vegemite on rice why would you do this to me Joey?
Gummies are made in Ninja Turtle sewer confirmed! XDDD
I tend to eat a bowl of noodles at late morning weekends for brunch, but cereal? That’s a supper dessert for me.
I eat breakfast every day, but it's not much, my common breakfast is like a piece of bread with butter or a little pack of buscuits and coffee.
The only way I keep myself from going ham on some Nutella is by just never buying it.
Garnt sitting there for 2 minutes waiting for the guys to stop joking so he can finish his sentence 😂
When I was in college I didn't eat breakfast but when I was on zoom I'd eat something small but filling so when I went back in person for 8 weeks I felt like I was dying. I tried eating cereal but cereal isn't filling and makes me hungrier
i usually eat "breakfast" at 10am and eat lunch at 3pm, thanks to this shitty education scheduling at indonesia where school fucking starts at 6:30 am. still hasn't change till this day
did anybody else notice that they changed the figures face on the background 5:19 5:29
As an Asian kid, or most of the Asian kids on our country, have sugar introduced to them at age 2. So by the time they grow up 5+, we're already immune to sugar rush lol.
In my country we usually eat big ass breakfast, my mom would never let me skip breakfast lol.
I eat 3 eggs a sausage 3 tortillas and a cup of coffee for breakfast every day
5:18 who's face is that at the figure,is it chris or someone else?
I need breakfast bc i have early shifts at my job so breakfast is a must for me. Usually i make oatmeal with berries and that lasts me a few hours. And yes breakfast is a very important meal especially if you have a normal sleep schedule.
Before exercising i don't eat, i feel slow and gross, i just drink water. But before work i try to eat a big breakfast because if not I'll get hungry in the middle of work.
I used to occasionally eat cereal as a kid, not often.
But then my stomach started saying no to milk, pretty clearly, so now regardless of if I liked it, nope.
You eat lunch way too early, in my country we eat lunch from 2-4 pm. For us that meal is the biggest one, and dinner is the smallest one at 8 pm.
Connor and Garnt: BIG CEREAL lies! it's all lies!
I fast 16/8. So technically I do "skip" breakfast. That being said, I can crush over 1000 calories in a meal if I want to
"you don't need that much food for breakfast" Wait that's a lot of food? that's like the bare minimum for afternoon snack
5:19
whats with rohan's face in the background?
A good size breakfast is great if you do a lot of activity first thing in the morning. I work on my feet so if I don’t have some eggs before work I’m dying by 10.
i cannot go on with my day without breakfast, that one time i only ate bread and coffee because i was sooo late for school i remember getting headaches on the way and ended up passing out lmao. At that point i never miss my breakfast. Never again. Maybe its because i go to school very early around 6-7 am and not having eaten anything till 12 noon its gonna fvck you up. And also we dont have snack breaks in between which really needs you to have a full stomach in the morning. fvck that school that doesnt allow you to drink and eat anything
I DON'T eat breakfast at all and lunch maybe but not always
It seems me and connor watched the same video about the food pyramid.
Full English breakfast or Tobacco and coffee?
I eat dinner right after work between 6 and 7 PM. If I dont eat breakfast Im pretty much dead in the morning.
I'd understand about them saying healthy foods is a lie if they were all fat but none of these guys are really out of shape or fat so they must be doing something right
That triangle is a massive fucking lie though. Cereals shouldn't take up that much of your diet, although it unfortunately does for a lot of us.
just because someone is not overweight doesn't mean is healthy.
I used to have a really unhealthy diet, weight about the same as now but used to get sick really easy, higher cholesterol and some bad health issues that made me change my diet
@@dragoon0anime Good point. But at least Connor works out...allegedly. The other 2 needs to add some more meat to their diet
@@CottidaeSEA I agree. People eat WAY too much carbs if they aren't burning it off with manual labor. I think it was invented in a time where there are more blue collar jobs that require you to sweat more vs today where there are plenty of jobs that don't require labor skills
Looking skinny doesn't necessarily mean healthy or in shape, these guys talk about drinking cans of energy drink and 8 cups of coffee, connor eats a fuck ton of shit from ubereats etc, i wouldn't really consider this "healthy". they might not look fat, but doesn't mean they are eating healthy.
So funny, I watched this just past 11am and I can totally agree with holding out for lunch! I don’t want breakfast but lunch can’t come soon enough…
Breakfast should be around 4-5am makes you hungry around 12nn
I wake up not hungry, then I drink a lot of water, then I am hungry.
Ok inl really wanna say this breakfast is very important but you only really need it if your like waking up at 6 and have to go to work by 8 and work till 12 or 1
Am I the only one to find a face on the figures at 5:18 ?
I agree with cereal but fruits no. Fruits is dang important my mom eats them for all 3 meals.
Breakfast maybe is what most people say i think
So Joey just smiled and hyped up a vegemite sandwich
The only time I’ve ever wanted a “big breakfast” was when I was little and I wanted the mcdonalds big breakfast with pancakes
am I the only one who loves breakfast, I'm really hungry after coming back from the gym...
Everybody is either on some form of the keto diet or veggie diet
Breakfast = smoothie with protein powder + a banana. I can’t eat solids in the morning.
I wake up too flarking early to even consider giving up any "morning" time towards breakfast, so I just eat a bunch before bed and i'm good till lunch..i'm 6ft 160lbs and don't care what any of you armchair experts think. it doesnt fit my lifestyle.
I woulda say cereal is a big breakfast even if u want a small breakfast like cereal isn’t much compared to the other American breakfasts
Try Oaxaca cheese, is like cheese strings but healthier and tastier.
Your metabolism isn't something you can just switch on by eating something, come on.
@@raindropfox yes you can, thats why it called "break-fast", so it's a good idea to eat something to tell your body to stop fasting
@@123armyoftwo Tell me how that relates to metabolism?
What you're describing is triggering the release of insulin in your body to store glucose.
Factual
String cheese ? :D you mean something like Slovak food "korbace" ?
String cheese is mozzarella. 🧀
If your profession involves heavy physical work or extreme endurance, a giant bowl of oats with a side of veggies and fruits is where it's at.
What is Mudan doin in 5:18 ?
11:29 how has joey survived?
Huh I eat lunch at 11-12, and dinner at 5-530. I guess I'm just an old man then lol (23 btw).
