John, i watch your videos simply because you do not rush, you show us each and every step needed to do something, along with any problems they may be met along the way. Far too many videos out there where they simply tell you take so and so off, with no explanation on what is involved in doing so. And here speaks little old me from the UK with absolutely no wish to ever own a Thunderbird - let alone rebuild one! I just enjoy the relaxed pace and the amount of detail that are in your videos. I have been working on my own cars since the 80's, but i am still open to picking up a good tip or two from you. :-) Keep up the great work, but keep warm this coming winter, the car is not your daily driver, so no point in freezing to death working on it. Soon be time to get back in the warm and work on some old radios!

    Hi John,
I suggest you take no notice of those wingeing about how long the car is taking! I think you are doing a fine job my friend! And John, take real good care of yourself, and don’t risk getting pneumonia . If you have to call a halt to working on the car because of the cold , then fine, I am sure we can all wait until it gets warmer! I am 69 years old and have already had my Flu jab. So I am taking no risks at all!

John I subscribed to you years ago for your radio videos, and love that hobby now myself. I've never been into cars and probably never will be, but I enjoy your car videos just as much. Keep up the good work!

    John,
I like your videos just the way they are. I have learned a lot from them, not the least of which is patience, something I need to improve. Thanks for making them.

The detail determines the length of time between videos. Keep them coming, your vidoes have been very helpful to me in restoring my 65 TBird. I am on part 1.

I have been following your videos for awhile now. First found you through a search for 64-66 T-Bird videos. (I have a 64) We love it and enjoy driving it. You have been an inspiration. I am about your age. An old car is never done. We always have a to do list. I discovered that you like working on old radios and such. So do I. Admittedly, you seem to be much better at it than me. I enjoy the challenge. If I fix a electronics problem that is great. If I cant, well so what. Next!. Thank you so much for allowing me to look over your shoulder.... Walt

You have a good trip and take care. I know what you mean about not taking the computer. I went over a week in Tennessee without a computer and it was so nice.

Joe, remember dropped objects will seek the point of most inaccessibility within a 10 mile radius! I once lost a really nice Snap On wratchet under the hood of a car that I was working on( not mine) several months later it came back for some other work and when I opened the hood...their it was!

So who says you can't teach an old dog new T-Bird tricks? You know me, I love the detailed stuff. So slow down Speedy Gonzalez and take yer time lol. Seriously, hope you enjoy your get away time and we will see you on your return. Take care pal.

+skycarl; The thumbnail made it look as though John had taken up vaping; and I'll bet that it's because of sustained losses in the Buzz1151 "tater wars".

I know the Hellcat video your taking about, I commented on every video he put up saying it can't be done because of the fire damage, it weakens the property of the metal. A few weeks later he strips another one and claims it's the same car!
I said something along the lines of "I told you so" Lol, xD

You could upload videos in warp speed for those folks that want stuff done fast. You will look like Teddy Hashee restoring those boomboxes. I think he's a hoot to watch. It looks like he tucks a half a days work into 30 minutes of video LOL.

Wow, based on the last videos. It looks like the driver back in the day hit something hard with the left front tire and destroyed the lower left side lines. Which lead to the shock to pull through later because it was not check. Haha.

HI John I enjoy watching your videos I got to looking at that single brake master cylinder in the t bird. that is really not a safe set up I would suggest maybe looking into a dual master cylinder conversion for that car! I just installed a upgrade in my 63 nova it was very reasonable price and bolted right in. Just a suggestion better safe than sorry.
    Thanks Eric

Wow I just installed that exact proportioner valve last week! Easy peasy works great what setting on that valve do you think you will start with? I am thinking almost completely shut will produce the same 450 psi that the original proportioner valve accomplished
