@@TheBid your car should have more than 1 key. They admin key is the key that hasn’t been programmed. They programmed key is the MyKey, so you need the admin key (not programmed key) to remove the MyKey (programmed key)... make sense?
I bought my 2012 used... When I press through Setup, it doesn't bring up anything regarding MyKey. But when I go do a system check it says I has 1 MYKEY in place and 1 ADMIN Key in place.

Hey everyone!! If you have a command start remote. Get into your car lock it while your inside. Use command start to start the car. Then you will be able to remove mykey.

He didn't mention something important. These cars come with two keys, one is the administration key. That's the one you need to access the My Key menu. The other only allows some changes otherwise the people your trying to keep from excessive speed could change it back. Good luck!
You are right, I did activate the mykey settings and now cannot turn it off. Went to ford dealership and they told its not the administration key and need to have on. That will cost me more than $300. Don't know where to get a cheaper administration key

I had to use the program a new ford fusion key method. Stick your one lousy key in the ignition and turn back and forth until the doors unlock and then press the alarm button. BAM!!! Manatee! No more mkey ridiculous nonsense!!

You prob never got the admin key when you bought the car. I have the same issue can't program the my key cuz I dont have a admin key. You have to go to the stealership to get a master key.
Two hours and it still does not work as you say. I have the original key. This car somehow set its own speed limit WHILE INWAS DRIVING UNDER THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT OF 50 mph.
Helped me out a lot! Never knew my wife's key was the Administrative (Programmed Control) key. That's the one that lets you enable or disable MyKey.

U need to use your admin key to do this. So try both of ur keys till it pops up for one of them

I had to get a key made and it's the admin key. then you go back to mykey settings and go until you see mykey clear and hit reset
