    I did some RPM testing after the video too, and i got over 3000 RPM!
    You can also use the new type of Pneumatic switch, have a look below.
    ➤ This engine will only work using the v2 small cylinders, i have used a normal one but i recommend using the newer type. Follow my guide for modifying this part and the switch - • How To Modify Series

    At 1:37 it should say RPM not PRM, just a small spelling error sorry.
    if you can find a smaller LPE that uses a pneumatic cylinder, comment below and i will have a look...

    I did some testing after the video and i got over 3000 RPM out of it. i recommend using the newer v2 style cylinders. they have the correct amount of stroke (3 studs), while the older type has 2.75 studs stroke. You also can use the new style of switch, read description above.

      I have a quick question, the engine is quick but is it also strong? I thought that maybe pneumatic engines would be a better solution for my project since the normal motors get weak very quickly ad for them to be quick you also need gears which again make it eve weaker.

  • @jacktaylor9341
    @jacktaylor9341 7 лет назад +9

    Great work first off! How much torque does this have compared with the normal cylinders (considering how much less air they need?) Eg; is it more worth creating an engine with a lot of these little cylinders (perhaps a V8 etc, i think by the math - the standard ones are 9x bigger and have 4x the force output so it may have to be a V12...) or an I3 with standard ones if they were run off the same pressure and air flow rate?
    And how do you get these modified switches - every time I've tried doing it myself with the new switches but they don't hold the pressure afterwards...(And I've never been able to get a hold of these older style switches either)
    And is it also possible to make a video on how you time your engines? I can always create the mechanics but never figure out the timing well enough to run smooth (doesn't help I'm still trying with unmodified switches but I can modify cylinders).
    Any thoughts? (Sorry for the lot of questions...I'm thinking about making a vehicle with an LPE in it...)

      Hi,
      This engine doenst make a huge amount of torque, but it has a little bit. i am planing to make a i4 or i3 engine with these cylinders, and it will have a lot more torque.
      Great idea for doing a video on the timing, will have to do a LPE mechanics series then. stay tuned.
      To get modded switches you must modify them, i will do a video on that too. have a look on my About area on my channel there is a bit more info there

    Looks great - would you consider adding this version as a mochub? (I see you’ve done the other version - which looks great.)

      thank you, yes that sounds like a great idea. i will do that. you do need to modify the pneumatic parts for air flow increase. i have a video on that.
