Something I feel is that when you describe 'people' you are describing the modern day west. When you go to poorer places where even clean water is a rare thing, people are estatic to have it. They question things as they do not have internet to drain them. Here we have too much. Now we have the answers to everything, it is felt minimal effort is required to complete day-to-day tasks, and we thrive more off of social interaction. The people in the poorer areas want to be like the west, but it is sad as they have such a good culture. They just feel the need to be more westernised

When I say people I mean those who have access to internet, if I said humanity then I'd be referring to humanity, but its not just people in the west but more so everywhere that is advanced that struggles with many issues, as places with a decent economy have businesses that try to capatilize on addiction, that why in almost every country poor or not tobacco is a big industry, and for the more advanced communities they have things like reels which are made to hook people. To be honest I think all countries can learn a thing or two from poorer areas since they thrive in the socialization and basics of humanity :D!
