I really like this car. But taking a gasoline G63 as a base vehicle is insane. After knowing it tipped: Never mount close to 200L of liquids on top. Mount them to the sides or the back. Chainsaw on top. all heavy boxes in the trunk.
I was watching the video thinking the guy who did this build got completely carried away. Then I read in the comments that the car rolled on its first outing. Such a shame...but in no way is it surprising. Unfortunately the ultimate example of 'all the gear and no idea'....but coming from a professional that was paid to have some idea. I don't get it.
Awesome set up but for the price he paid he could of had a ram 2500 super tourer from patriot campers with all the nuts and bolts and comfort, however its a great concept for a 4x4 the G wagon 6x6 is very cool just cant get them here in oz 😭😭😭

Cool to see don’t see it catching on, not for me, comfort is canvas and maybe a couple Stratos in the Landcrusier a good mattress in the RTT, dunno what he sleeps in either didn’t see no swag? What would that look like after a trip to York and up gunshot?

Gibbet Hoskins already being sorted. No one in Aus does an aux fuel tank nor was interested in making a one off, 8week lead time on one from Italy gave us no choice but to put fuel on roof for the first trip.

Depends on where he lives...In Germany, the US, Canada, Russia, etc., lithium batteries are useless since they won't take a charge below 32 degrees F. I love Lithium and hope they soon find a way to counteract this issue...Your points are valid though...

There are DOT approved beadlocks...The MB 4x4 Squared is one; the Hutchinson Rock Monster is another...And I believe there are a couple more that have double bead that make them legal as well...We will see more in the future.

Even if you put an engine half the size in it, that vehicle would still use roughly the same amount of fuel, except, you would be using more of the available power under normal driving, as the vehicle would still require the same amount of power to move it through the air. This is about fluid dynamics more than about anything else. There is a reason why Teslas looks the way they do. If the exterior of the vehicle was designed like a more 'normal' car, they mileage on them would be A LOT less, for the same reason as the mileage on this thing is so bad.

psy06 Mercedes benz has the ADR compliance for the side pipes. They are stock exhausts on all v8 Gwagons in AUS/worldwide

I don't like these soulless builds where they just throw money at arb.
Why does it use so much fuel? Because it's about an aerodynamic as a brick. The faster you go, the more aero plays a role in fuel consumption.
And the massive v8 petrol engine probably doesn't do it any favors.
