- This is a video showing how I had to wire up the lights for the ZroadZ rack for the Jeep Gladiator. Sorry the video is so long. I wanted to make sure I covered as much info as possible. I tried to make it shorter but I just couldn't. I really hope this helps others out there who experienced what I did and did not know how to run the wire harness because of the lack of the instruction manual information.
So for the relay.. would you need to do that if your running it to a aux switch?
Yes. Or you could extend the wires to the relay and mount it up under the hood. That is what I should have done. But I didn’t think of that until I traded my truck in.
You could have grounded it right on the fender by the battery. That is where the aux switches get grounded. You can see it at 11:40 ish
Yes, you are correct. But I wasn’t using the auxiliary switches in the Jeep. I put a switch in the bed of the truck. So I can turn the lights in and off without reaching in the door.
Very cool
D.G Vlogs thank you.
Thank you so much
LosT Legend your welcome! Glad this helped.
Well appreciated
So all the lights are controlled by one switch? Is there a way to make it so the left and right are independent of one another?
Good question. Yes, they are all controlled by one switch. I am sure there may be a way to wire them up to work on separate switches. But I do not know.
Hello!
I'm about to buy this rack. Did you like it so far?
Thank you.
I love it! Though I do not use the lights very often. But when I do, they are awesome. I get a lot of compliments about the rack. It’s also nice to put kayaks on. It deters people from taking things out my truck bed. It’s not easy at all to pull large objects out of the bed with this rack on.
So is the relay waterproof. I will be going through water and mud.
Yes. I have gone through water. I have done several undercarriage car washing and been through plenty of mud and rain. No issues to this day.
Hi! 💛
Eliza Flix hello.
