Another great episode! Can you guys maybe get Katie and Chris on the show? So much of their story wasn’t shown on BIP and I think it’ll be interesting to hear about their journey on the show and what it was like coming off it, etc. Also as a WOC, I’m always interesting in the experiences that other WOC have on the show. And I mean Katie is just bomb af... would love to hear more about her life story.

It wasn't selfish to come back. Caelynn was settling for Connor. She wanted Dean. Were I 27 again, I would too! He's in travel and adventure mode. I needed a LOT more of that in my life and wish I'd done it. And he's so handsome, ya just gotta take the ride even knowing it could be a shorter one. Well worth it.

@@justjosie8963 Exactly. If I had a do-over, I'd have never married at all, just traveled and explored the world doing good things for others where I could. That's living. Never settle for boring unless you are boring, nothing wrong with boring, just know who you are so you aren't unfulfilled.

Rachel was smart .That is why in the end she let manipulative Peter go too. She had enough of Peters bull you could tell on ATFR .At the time it seemed she was being cold for no reason but after listening to Reality Steve’s podcast where he interviewed an ex of Peters she explained the constant pull you close and push you away that Peter did with her and other toxic behaviors.It was very eye opening .I think Rachel was able to see just how unhealthy / toxic a relationship with him would have been especially after making the healthy choice with Brian she probably thought I don’t like the way I was played and that’s why she seemed so over it/ him on ATFR.

The emotional unavailability his father has for his son, is exactly what Dean was raised in....and the behavior gets repeated.
This is who Dean has been all along.
Seeing how defensive he gets at acting like his father just shows he is not ready to grow and heal that avoidant part of himself.

Bachelor shows lacks self awareness because the cast gets younger and younger and I dind't know anything either when I was early 20s
Steph Zohn you speak true words. It’s annoying. The younger ones do make for more dramatic BIP, but it’s really annoying for the actual Bachelor/Bachelorette. They are so not even close to ready for engagement. Cassie and Colton classic examples. I hope they go with Mike, 31, for bachelor.
Bianca Michelle sadly I think they’re going with Peter the pilot as bachelor. At least that’s what all the rumors are saying. Colton was way too young. And even Hannah. She keeps choosing the wrong men because she’s still too young and doesn’t even know herself fully yet. And it is harder for me who followed the bachelor forever now to relate to the younger cast

I had no idea who Dean was when he walked in to BiP, but I'm really rooting for him. He made me like Caelynn, and I hope hope hope their relationship lasts. She was so happy around him, she was glowing. They have fire chemistry together.
I feel bad for Caelynn. Deans broken up with her a few times and they’ve been together for a year or however long since paradise and he’s talking about her on here the way he is. Saying he’s not in love with her and she was clingy and everything. He’s taking her for a ride. I’d be hurt if I was her listening to this
People! It’s not manipulative for Dean to sell himself short. It’s really not that deep. He undersells in small ways that allow people to be pleasantly surprised. Life lesson for you youngins... set expectations LOW in life when it comes to relying on others. That way if they come short you aren’t let down. And if they come through you are pleasantly surprised. Live by this!

Let me guess you’re still young still? Being older does make you wiser. It’s just facts. You go through more life obstacles as you get older which teaches you lessons. Plus your brain just works differently as you age. He isn’t being undermining saying that

A first heartbreak at 16 is still valid and they shouldnt let someone who is 30 tell them their feelings are trivial because that kid "doesn't know what love is." Maybe that kid doesn't, and maybe that wasn't love, but pain is valid. And wisdom comes from experiences not from age alone. That said, wisdom does not mean passing judgment and calling someone's actions right/wrong. How wise can Nick really be when he's not even in a successful relationship--he admit himself, that he doesnt even know what he's looking for in a woman anymore.

Nick saying "I find politics to be just another reality TV show" is the epitome of white male privilege. If only we could all just boil down the abject horrors of this administration to "reality TV" 🙄. Really good podcast otherwise, loved hearing from Dean more. But man Nick, smh.
Yet another point of annoyance I found at the end. We don't want Mike to be the Bachelor "because he's black". We want him to be the Bachelor because he's interesting, he's sweet, he's a 31 yo man so the cast would skew older which makes for less annoying members, and we've had a variation on Peter for 30-something seasons and it's tired.

I don't know. I like that she offers a different perspective to Nick and challenges him in a meaningful way.
While I want Peter for Bachelor (and glad he got it), it was the perfect opportunity to have Mike be Bachelor. He's awesome, everybody loves him, he's respectful and articulate and humorous and humble and a hundred other good things we love in our Bachelors (and generally don't get, sadly). Rachel is the most popular of all the Bachelorettes and is married now. Mike would have been equally wonderful and I do hope they consider him for the next round after Peter.

Dean is a very smart interesting ‘deep’ guy but he is so manipulative and dangerous. Cailyn is manipulative herself but she is younger and more vulnerable. Dean being honest and saying smth like - I’m terrible, don’t expect much of me but I want to be with you - is so selfish. Don’t ask her to be your girlfriend if you know you can’t give her the best. Dean just wants a girlfriend with all the benefits without any responsibilities of his actions because he warned her and was ‘honest’ about his bad sides. Kristina was right to call him selfish. And Nick is not calling him out because he is a friend. P.S. very interesting podcast))

I don’t think people saying Dean turned out like his dad is meant an insult. At least for me, Dean was portrayed on the bachelorette that he was against his dad’s life style. In each season of BIP, we saw that Dean was not portrayed accurately originally, plus I’m sure he has had a lot of personal growth in the process of time. Seeing him now as a free spirit, definitely points that he is somewhat or in someways like his dad. It’s not a bad thing.
Is this about nick or dean? I feel bad for dean but I'm so impressed! I actually couldn't stand dean, and now that I know that he started from nothing, and had to deal with his mom dying at such a young age. He was in fight or flight mode my god. Then surrounding himself around shallow, MATERIALISTIC people to get criticism about his family, who were hurting, and adjusting. Just because he was trying to make some cash and live a good life. His mother would be incredibly proud of him. His story is probably THE MOST REAL story that has been out there. And maybe we should stop just filming people who were born in privileged lives, and more of this kind of story because it's a hell of alot more interesting than listening to how much people spend on clothes and make up..
I think one of the reasons people admire tyler so much is because hannah said he is the most respectful man she's ever met, aside from how he came off as a gentleman on the show. I love nick and dean but just because they're fuckboys doesn't mean all men are. sounds like they want that to be true to feel less bad about their own past (or current) behavior. again, still love them and always have, but that's just how i'm reading it. of course i'm not denying the general sentiment that tyler is still just a human with flaws--completely true--but coming from these two it just sounds off

Cute! -"Tattoo's will danger me up a little bit". Grab a carry-on bag,stuff some clothes in it,manly needed items,passport,then throw anxiety off the roof and go to Egypt. You'll be amazed how freeing the experience will be for you when you "let go" ..... and different choices could & can lead to "that special someone" you never imagined you could find. I do appreciate how down to earth you and Dean are. Go live it up with adventure!
