All excellent points, as I know from twin perspectives as a carer and as an 'employer' of a carer. If family and carer could watch this video together, then discuss and agree all the roles, responsibilities and expectations of the job that are prompted by the points you raise, so many issues would never even arise. Love the backdrop!

Informative & professional, good points, nicely done. I’m working through an agency now, care plan with this client not up to date, long days , broken nights.. makes you doubt why their care plan schedule can’t be met. of course clients health changes, but its worrying for the carer when it looks like sudden decline. Something you could cover in future videos? .. Handovers..

Please write to your agency and ensure you mention this, as they can make themselves unaccountable for this. In their contract to you they will make you accountable.

Yes Mark has a good point there. Perhaps clients should watch videos like yours is with the carers. Love the view and narrowboat;-) Sunsets would be awesome there;-)

Hi and thank you for your video about care. I have been working as a live in carer in the UK for many years. On my channel I have uploaded few videos where I explain about the live in care from the carers perspective and how to go through it in the best shape. Enjoy. All the best. Tomas

Great tips!! Do livein carers do personel hygiene, what does that involve? for the older clients.. How do you deal with older clientes with dementia or Alzheimer's..? Thank you..

Personal care is washing clients and assisting with toileting, this doesn't happen all the time. Companionship care should not involve personal care .

Thank for this, I'm going Into care as a live in carer for the first time. I have so many questions, on responsibilities and obligations.

Jason read your contract and who the agency makes responsible. You should never be fully accountable. Keep screen shots if what they promote about their carers on the website eg we offer 24/7 support to our carers
