I still remember seeing them perform on Conan o Brien….being so confused by the way the vocalist sang….didn’t know whether to love it or hate it. Ended up buying the album and thinking it was pretty good lol
in my opinion, they did record great stuff after the first album too! but I think they were trying not to repeat the exacy same style, and tried new things...but the first album is indeed a classic!
I missed their most recent concert in my area and was pretty bummed to have missed it, but I've seen them before a few times and it was always great. This almost makes up for it, though.
+Mr. Chopper I can totally hear it! But she has an incredible voice... rich and powerful yet feminie and lovely. I really like this band but Alec's vocals leave something to be desired...and I'm a fan of atypical voices that aren't characteristically melodic, smooth or polished... the quintessential example being Dylan, of course, with current exemplary notables [to include] deep and dark subject matter of evocative raw emotion coupled with the (often sad) musings of amazingly talented singer-songwriters the likes of Conor Oberst, Jeff Mangum and Thom Yorke, to name but a few. And yes, I concede, that is a hella long run-on sentence I wrote back there......Wheeeeeeeee!!! :) Geeeez, why can't I write for Rolling Stone?!?!
Thanks from France for all of those amazing musical moments KEXP 😊
Oh man, I couldn't love these guys any more. They're ridiculously amazing! Beautiful performance.
Bass player at 16:27: I look good, I'm at the top of my game, and this band is freakin' awesome.
Happy to play the hits loved it!
Still Brilliant!

Good band !! would be a great band with a horn section.
Ooo good call
Love these guys so much. Saw them first in a small bar venue in Portland. The national was on the bill and then I can't even remember the third band.
Their self-titled is a must, a modern classic. Glad to see them at Plaza Condesa, MX.

Beautiful band !! So cute !!!!💗💫
Love the first album. just sad they haven't made anything like/better than it.

Give a try to The Tourist, the new album from 2017. It's a blast and imo, greater than even the debut one.
So so so so good

Kayleigh Saum CYHSY on tour dates right now. New album drops in a Week. it's a Must Listen. A Masterpiece like all the others.
To have them "solve it" for you, is to silence you. To become only the voiceless. To solve it, is to silence...
Wow Dave. So deep. Wow.
Wow, love it!
I love them!
This is really good music!!
the perfect rock band
the singer seems chill as fuck
This pushes "whining in a mike" to a whole new level! Sounds cool though, even though the bass is too low in the mix (as is often the case with KEXP)
marvellous
These guys popped up in my RUclips music and I thought I was listening to a Television song I've never heard before.
I learned from the interviewer that everything is "cool"
and that Spain is a South American country LOL
I think yesterday’s acid hasn’t worn off yet 😂
I'll speak for everyone when I say thank you for bending the bill of your hat... just thank you.
😂
The host looks super noided
drummer is on point
He overplays and rushes

You can tell that he’s a FAN BOY 😆
Fuck man, this host is like me when I've double dunted, keep grooving baby x
Why is the dude from Spinto Band there?
rally croco dil the yle cool
Why no new songs?
Because their debut album is the only thing worth playing lol
You guys are going down to Mexico and Spain and South America. Bahahahahahahahaha.
Yes, yes. I'm in the comments looking for anyone who noticed! This band does Rock! Love them!
Dude sounds like Ezra furman
But he`s voice not too bad
Awkward start!
.
Is this mumblecore?
who is that asian guy?
it's the bass player.
They literally introduce each band member in this video
tbh its kinda funny that in the 10+ years theyve been a band theyre still playing a set of songs exclusively from their debut
They were doing a an anniversary tour of the first album. They're really good at having a good mix of songs usually.
Also as a person who wasn't a huge fan of their later albums, I REALLY like the newest album
also his hat is dumb
I love it until the guy starts singing
hahahahaha I thought the same
+Andrew Schiantarelli I had it in a background tab and thought it must have been Chrissie Hynde singing!
+Mr. Chopper

his voice gives the songs a lot more personality i think, it never sounds out of tune but kinda wild
Bob Dylan just sounds like a he’s trying to be whimsical and unique, it’s not natural. This is natural
