Poem: Dear future you or should I say dear future me, I have so many questions. Where are you now? How do you feel? I would be naive to think you've figured everything out but do you have any tips on how to feel alright? Sometimes I wish I had a thread like Ariadne’s one, guiding me through the maze of thoughts and patterns in my mind. Do you ever feel like you don’t belong? Do you still run away from people, so scared they will be gone? Do you still compare yourself to others and then punish yourself for all the bad thoughts you have about them and yourself, or have you gained the confidence to weather the storm, even when a part of you feels like you’ve already drowned? Do you still hug trees when you're not feeling right? Do you still pray in the forest, the temple where you feel most alive? Are you still balancing on the border between chaos and order, the edge of death and life? Or have you managed to embrace your light even in the dark? Because I know you have it; I've seen how it filled and healed your and others’ wounds. Have you learned to set boundaries? Have you found your voice? Have you forgiven me for all the hate I gave you? And if you haven’t, if you feel lost and stuck today, if you still sometimes hate me- I mean, yourself- I mean, us- I just want to say that I believe in you. Its Your love that has helped me survive. You've challenged me, taken care of me, and given me chances time after time. So let me remind you, and so you can see: you are much stronger than sometimes you think And No matter where you are in our life right now, I’m sorry, I love you, thank you, and I am so proud.
Poem: Dear future you or should I say dear future me,
I have so many questions.
Where are you now? How do you feel?
I would be naive to think you've figured everything out
but do you have any tips on how to feel alright?
Sometimes I wish I had a thread like Ariadne’s one,
guiding me through the maze of thoughts and patterns in my mind.
Do you ever feel like you don’t belong?
Do you still run away from people, so scared they will be gone?
Do you still compare yourself to others and then punish yourself for all the bad thoughts
you have about them and yourself, or have you gained the confidence to weather the storm,
even when a part of you feels like you’ve already drowned?
Do you still hug trees when you're not feeling right?
Do you still pray in the forest, the temple where you feel most alive?
Are you still balancing on the border between chaos and order, the edge of death and life?
Or have you managed to embrace your light even in the dark?
Because I know you have it; I've seen how it filled and healed your and others’ wounds.
Have you learned to set boundaries? Have you found your voice?
Have you forgiven me for all the hate I gave you? And if you haven’t, if you feel lost and stuck today,
if you still sometimes hate me- I mean, yourself- I mean, us- I just want to say that I believe in you.
Its Your love that has helped me survive.
You've challenged me, taken care of me, and given me chances time after time.
So let me remind you, and so you can see: you are much stronger than sometimes you think
And No matter where you are in our life right now,
I’m sorry, I love you, thank you, and I am so proud.
