    I like what you said about trusting your portion sizes. I only get 18 points a day and sometimes I look at my portions and think that's not going to be enough. But then when I eat it and wait 10 minutes I realize I'm very satisfied. And the thing is, when you're trying to lose weight sometimes you just have to tell yourself no.

    We just joined WW and I'm really loving personal points. We utilize our 0 point foods at every meal and we've been so satisfied. I've found I'm not snacking as much because my meals have been more filling. I even crossed tracked the first bit and found I was averaging out at my calories deficit amount from the TDEE calculator.
    Love your videos! They give me all kinds of ideas.

    I think I’m going to stop weight watchers.. while a lot of my zero point foods were nice and calorie dense., the amount of points I get per day -17 never lets me get over about 1200 cals and it seems too low and restrictive. So I think I’m going to focus more on my protein intake and the balance of macros I eat

      I did the same! 176 grams of protein is hard to get in a day though! Found a great water enhancer that has 20 gms!

      Honestly, I lost weight and got to goal on personal points and the way I really did it was eating a ton of veggies and eating all of my veggie points and my water point. I also ate all of my weeklies and many of my activity points. I have an active life and know that now in maintenance I can eat pretty freely without gaining weight. I do eat healthily still and limit sugar and fats but I don’t limit portions as much and have treats. But my calories are probably around 2000 a day easy. If you eat higher point foods at all or don’t eat veggies a lot then it’s really hard. I won’t lie, I had potatoes as a zero point food and ate sometimes 2 cups of potatoes some days several times a week. I know some people will tell you to limit the portion sizes but I never needed to because I lost weight easily without doing so.

      I just wanted to throw something out there regarding protein. I use Isopure unflavored protein powder in soups, scrambled eggs, water w/mio and smoothies to bump up the protein intake. It’s 100 calories a scoop for 25 grams of protein and has helped my numbers tremendously. I find it hard to get enough protein in without going over on points too.

      I got rid of most of my zero point foods and even switched over to the diabetic program so I get 29 points today and almost everything has points except chicken and fish. It has helped me really get a handle on what I’m eating

      Mollie bear in mind you should be eating all the points you gain and weeklies if hungry. I never use just my daily points

    That was really neat to see how your WW style meals line up with calories/macros! Wow! Boosts my confidence in WW a bit. I have been debating using WW again or counting calories. I usually struggle to eat enough calories on WW and it feels so restrictive. Probably doesn't help that I don't particularly like protein rich foods that are zero points (chicken/turkey breast, eggs, fat free yogurt (ew!!), etc) and the first time I did WW was during Freestyle. Thanks for doing all this double tracking! It was really neat to see

    I track calories and have lost 150 lbs over 5 years I'm so doing it, but I feel like counting points is a similar concept. Your meals and wraps looked great. I started WW bc of you in April. I’m down 30 lbs. Everyone keeps telling me not to lose anymore lol but I want to lose about 12 more! I’m kind of stuck again and not losing 😞 but still trying! My garden didn’t work this year. 😞 Something kept eating it 😠

    Portion sizes are definitely key!!! I was using MyFitnessPal but yesterday the scan feature switched to behind a paywall so I'm a bit miffed at them for that. I found another app that still has the scan feature for free (MyNetDiary) but not as big of a database as MyFitnessPal.
    Thanks so much for your videos! I love the bowl ideas. I get so overwhelmed with choices though since I have to make sure I get so much fiber in a day, I can't vary food too much because of stomach issues, and I can't eat peppers and onions (even though I love them both) so mostly I just don't know where to start. It's frustrating but you keep me motivated!

    Question - I just joined Weight Watchers again. The last time I did it was like 10+ years ago. Should my Ap be calculating my points back or is that some thing you just do yourself? Yesterday I had three servings of vegetables and 100 ounces of water and my app did not add any points back 🤷🏼‍♀️

      Your comment made me curious about carbs. I’m 56 and just started WW last Thursday. I get potatoes as a zero point food but find I don’t eat a lot of them but I’m thinking that if I did, I wouldn’t lose weight, right? Like if I ate them everyday I’m thinking that’s too many carbs from potatoes alone, then add fruits and the carbs that are in most everything else besides straight protein. What kinds of carbs do you stay away from, and also, which can you eat without issues? Thanks!

      @@AKA-Nana I didn’t feel like the free healthy carb choice was good for. There wasn’t one that I ate more than the other ones. Free potatoes or whole grain pasta, etc. is not something I wanted on my journey.
      Anyway, I retook the test. I didn’t pick anything when it asked what whole grain option, and now I just have my 3 protein choices, non-starchy veggies, and fruit. So much better for me.

      I’m 63 and eat potatoes quite often, 3-4 times per week typically. I’ve lost 62 lbs since mid-Feb. I use all my dailies and most of my weeklies so I feel like I eat a lot. But no where near what I ate to gain all this weight!!!

      @@maryS1977 I'm glad you said this, carbs have been vilified, but unless you are diabetic or have other metabolic issues carbs are great, jyst stay away from processed foods and sugar...crazy keto people have ruined them fir everyone. They will regret it in the end with all the nutrient difficiencies

      I personally just use the MyFitnessPal app and after putting my information in it gave me ball park numbers for my macros!

    Wow that’s a ton of food ! I can never seem to go over 1200 calories for my 18 points and can budge the scale at all in fact gained weight. I’m so discouraged

    Strange how some say they get less on WW when they double track. I feel I get more/too much on WW when I double tracked and felt like that’s why I wasn’t losing. On calorie tracker I counted veggies vs getting them free on WW. I like getting something free so I still get eggs and veggies on WW but don’t actually track veggies (but still eat a lot of them) so that I don’t get extra points back. I also don’t log exercise or water since I get enough. But I understand some need the motivation and points back for these. And yeay, scale is finally moving.

    I just started back on WW. Last time I did WW it was smart points. I seem to be losing and gaining the same amount. It is frustrating as I did not have these issues with smart points. I am having some buyers remorse in signing back up with WW, but I wanted to try the new plan. I should have just used the Healthi app. I just started counting calories along with charting in the WW app. I did that to keep myself in check to not eat to many of zero point foods. I run out of points before I run out of calories. It’s usually 200-300 calories left. When that happens I will eat some fruit to balance it out.

    I’m new at WW used to track food on myfitnesspal but stopped. Was wondering if you need to do both track on WW and myfitnesspal as I thought you just needed to follow WW to lose and not have to use another app?

      Think she is only doing both because she has subscribers now that don't use WW. Some people had asked for that and others wanted the macros.

    Hi Nikki. I really like your videos. I would request that you also tell us how many dailies and weeklies you get. It is hard to really see how it all fits in without that info. I could have sworn you said ww gives you 24 dailies. With all the points some days it seems you are way over the 24. I am not judging, for those who think I am, just trying to figure out the big picture.
