At 13:03, Where you are standing and beyond used to be the ferry port that whole area is a reclaimed land all the way to the waterfront, that building used to be residential but now mostly office. At 19:24 that’s the equivalent to your Sydney Opera House, it’s called Xi Gu Centre (戲曲) or Chinese Opera House.

I was there for a couple of days way back in 1984 at 17 years old during the immigration flight transition from Bangkok to San Francisco to our final destination Houston. All I can remembered was the night landing at the old airport right next to the ocean, staying at a tall small double bed high rise, eating dim sam the next morning. The night life was so flashy with many people and neon lights and tall buildings next to each other, a bit like China Town in NYC. The day time I looked down and so many trashes were in the streets like Vn NOW. I still preferred Bangkok back then with more open spaces and wild looking buses with colorful decors and small fans inside lol.

Put your octopus card on your phone using the app mate. HK is still super quiet regarding tourism so spend up large. Sadly Temple street has a very high %age of trafficked woman.
Your comment on the neon lights is interesting; amongst the many things the citizens have pushed back on their government has been the removal of neon signs. Recently some legislators have woken up and now calling for their preservation and in many cases return.
Head up on a trail - really recommend the dragons back at this time of the year.

Cured pork & liver sausage, or spareribs, rather than beef, would have been better choices at the claypot rice place you went to on Temple Street. And those are baked pineapple crust, bbq pork buns you had at Dim Sum, not fried pork buns. Hope you found street eats more to you & your Mommy's liking the rest of your trip in HK.

It seems like it's more expensive. Plus ours has ice cream in the waffle egg when they wrap it like a cone. Delicious! Even the small no frills hotel room was very expensive. idk Their airport has the same train system ours has because it's so big to get u from one end to the other very quickly, also we have huge malls like that too.
