    Louis has the best attitude, there needs to be more people like him! I once met someone with a similar positive and strong attitude towards life and it changed my life just being around someone like that. People like that are so inspiring and it really makes you want to be more optimistic and work on yourself and possibly inspire others in the same way

    Agreed. Fear can, and sometimes will, keep us from doing something that could be good for us. The first step to solving that problem is to understand that it's there. I've noticed that boredom is often caused by fear, so the next time you are bored, instead of passively waiting for something to distract you from your thoughts, take an active stance and ask yourself the question: "What do I fear?" It's very likely that there are things that you want to do but you won't because you are afraid of some parts of those things, and that results in doing nothing.

  • @daisyboi
    @daisyboi 10 лет назад +33

    My response to the fear thing would be some "shyness can stop you from doing all the things in life that you would like to" some great words from the smiths

    Fear dominates my life and keeps me from doing a lot of things I want to try doing and living my life to it's full potential.
    I'm going to try to be more confident, put myself out there and not give 2 shits what people think about me, but it's going to be a long road. Seeing you face your fear so soon after the accident, it really motivated me to try harder overcome my fears and move through my issues. Thanks.

    I broke a spine in my back on october 17th whilst riding my horse. I had to take a break from school and i'm still not starting school due to the psysical problems.
    I did start riding again in april and now i am a proud owner of another horse. This september i am going to saint Eustatius for 3 or 4 months to teach again. (Learning to be a teacher)
    Point i'm trying to make is, i got over my fear and trying to make the best of it. Might not always be easy, but i'm going to make the best of it.
    Thank you Louis. Thanks for showing me how awesome it can be to walk in to the unknown.
    Excuse my englisch.. love from the netherland ♡

    Thx Louis. About 6 months ago in summer (I live in Australia). I was in a surfing competition and was dumped by a massive wave. I passed out under water from lack of air and to much water in the lungs. I haven't been back in the water from the fear of what I've been through. You have inspired me to get back in the ocean and restart. Thx so much mate.

    Re. the last part of your video Louis - TOTALLY agree. I've been in the comfort zone for the last 24 years, partly down to fear of the unknown.. I'm 41, and I've finally taking a step out of the comfort zone, I'm quitting my job of 24 years and travelling around the world. I'm not sure what the future holds, but, I'm going to enjoy this new adventure, the best I can.

    I have really bad anxiety and have panic attacks and because of that I'm scared do to things. Sometimes I'm even scared to ask my friends to hangout because 'maybe I'll have an attack' but I know I have to try to get over that but it's really hard.

    This was really cool to watch because I just got a new motor scooter and was riding it and had my first fall because i rode onto gravel while I was turning. I was bummed that I messed up like that and hesistant to ride again..but I got straight on again and just practiced turning over and over again. So this was really nice to hear your inspiring words about not feeling defeated and to always get back at it. :) Love you, Louis!

    Your talk on fear was so helpful I often let it get to me when riding after having quite a number of nasty falls in the past and currently riding quite a young and occasionally naughty horse but it's helped me realise that fear is never going to help me move forward with him just hold everything back and if I get over it and ride properly I have a much better chance of doing what I'm trying to achieve without being hurt were as freezing and doing nothing in fear will usually lead to a bad result :')

    Louis! Thankyou for the awesome thoughts on fear. I had a car accident in November and again in January and it's really shaken my confidence that I get really uneasy about driving especially to new places and driving on the motorway. It makes me feel sick to think about it. I've been easing my way into it but recently, I've been opting to just taking the train rather than driving to work because driving on the motorway makes me nervous. So this video is very timely and your courage to venture out on your penny board again is very encouraging and inspiring. Love your videos and it would be amazing to meet you one day. Huge love x

    I've had those fears a while back, some bad experiences made me worried and anxious and I became limited in what I could achieve. To everyone who feels that way, tell yourself that you only live once and ask yourself how would your older self feel if you won't achieve stuff? You'd probably regret it and it will be too late.. So no matter how scary it feels, once you've done it you will gain some confidence
