It's travel day! We fly with British Airways direct from London Heathrow to LAX. We catch a LYFT from the airport over to Disney's Grand Californian and check out our DVC Studio room.
After we pop into Disneyland and enjoy dinner at Goofy's Kitchen.

Wow every time I see Disneyland as it is now, I can’t help remembering when all that area of the CDA and Downtown Disney was only parking lot space!! Many, many, many years ago!

I am so glad you said that the entrance is small! It is, and I love that they have never changed it or made it bigger. I love walking down Main street Disneyland. Disneyland feels more intimate and almost ' country fair' like... Almost. I will always love Disneyland the best. I can't wait to see more vlogs of this trip, and Hawaii!!

That was so good! How do you need so many suitcases, what do you pack lol. It was good seeing you get lost, you know what us mortals feel like now, Rog would be like that and then moaning there are no signs with me pointing them out. You're already making me want to go there, your vlogs show so much of the parks that we don't see on other vlogs. We just said you two are definitely the best! Bring on the next vlog.
I wondered too. I went on a month-long trip to Hawaii with just one checked bag and had extra room to bring bits back. :)
Love the original Disneyland in California, its an amazing place! Disneyland being in a big metropolis like L A , there is just so much to see and do !
Our castle is small, but it is the original!! Glad you both finally made it out our way.

I love your travel days.....and the cost of your Lyft is really reasonable. A taxi would have been at least $60 so that is a great price you got on your lyft. And I just love the Grand Californian. I haven't stayed there, but will next time I get to so cal and visit Disney.

I've watched and rewatched this so many times....but I just noticed you guys landed on the south side of the airport.... I don't think I've ever landed or taken off from that side ever.

The Penny Arcade used to have all kinds of vintage/antique machines that you could play. This was during the 1970s and 1980s, at least. There were no modern machines - just the 1900s-1930s type of brass machines like you find at the Boardwalk Hotel at WDW. The modern day arcade machines were located at the StarCade, which was a huge two level arcade that's been empty for a few decades until recently. I used to feel guilty playing there when I should have been out int he park riding rides. The top portion of the old arcade is now part of the new queue for Space Mountain.

Love your blogs so much =) but have you ever thought about trying to cut down how many plastic bottles you're buying? and re-using a drink bottle instead? Maybe find a bottle with a filter if it's a water quality issue =)

I use to go to Disneyland once a month. I moved up to WA last summer, so I really miss being in Disneyland. Watching you go walk through GC hotel, Disney Springs, and the parks has made me very happy and nostalgic. Bummer about the castle. It’s reopened now. Looks like you guys missed it by a week.

We went to Goofy’s kitchen for breakfast one time and my wife almost killed Baloo. Ha! We had just sat down and he was the first character to come around and he messed up my daughter’s hair so her hair was a mess for every picture at breakfast. Ha ha. One of our favorite memories to laugh about now. Peanut butter & jelly pizza is the best!

Wow the travel mug price is very low, is this because Disneyland is smaller than WDW? Also the french fries are different. These are the things I notice.The entrance is amazing, I hope you take a train ride. Thank you for sharing with us. How amazing.

Are the H2O toiletries at WDW and Disneyland the same smells as the ones in Aulani? I actually don't care for the H2O bodywash scents at WDW and was wondering if Aulani was different....the packaging looks different at Aulani!
