Regarding Christmas carols, you can listen any time on pandora. My daughter told me about it a few years ago. So I do listen off season for a bit of a mood lifter.
I am ready except for the food prep! Christmas Eve our 2 grown grandsons will be here. King Ranch Chicken Casserole & ice cream sundaes for dessert. Christmas Day we have one grandson & one family friend here. Baked ham & all the trimmings plus Christmas Cake for dessert. Many years ago, as a family we decided not to exchange gifts between the adults and just buy for the children. I have always hosted Thanksgiving & Christmas at my home. Then in 2007 my grown daughter & her entire family (including in-laws) moved close to us in Texas and she took over Christmas. Tragically, starting in 2012 thru 2015 they all passed away except our Grandson, Max. He was 12 when his mama died. He is 23 now and attends Texas A&M. He spends his breaks with us. As you can imagine, our Christmas’s are a much smaller affair now. We miss our Debbi so much-even after 10 years but it’s all pleasant memories now. The shoe tip is a good one! I once got a pair of children’s under armor shoes on clearance for $11 for myself. I just happened to see them and thought they looked like they would fit me, and they did!

wrapped some gifts for son’s to give to gfs. Fun for me since I have very little to wrap. I gave away more clothing that no longer fit. Although I could have worn them too roomy, I will update sizes in the spring. The recipients were most happy. Just a hot tea indoors day.

@ also I forgot to ask you I know but this might sound like a really weird request, but I have a lot of friends that are amputees so I was wondering any old shoes you and your family are getting rid of would you be willing to send them to maybe a hospital or organization that deals with amputees that way they have shoes to wear whether it be a left shoe or a right shoe.
