I turned 15 in 1980 and that was the start of the best decade of my life. So many great memories listening to all these songs...life was good back then.
❤ The sounds of my youth, every song a memory, some more meaningful than others, I was a teenager, studying, dancing, singing to this songs on the radio, discovering beautiful friends, and crushes, and learning about love...Everything was so simple then...Thanks for the memories, that are running around in my head now, "The Eighties, were the best decade ever"...❤️
Thank you! This compilation has made me realise once again how lucky I was to live in a time when music was unique. In 1979 I turned 20 and was already studying. In 1982 I started working because I decided I preferred that to studying. From that point on I had the money to buy any record I liked. So I have almost half of the songs that make up this compilation as singles in my record collection.
The best two years of music in history. Imagine having songs like Eye Of The Tiger and Africa IN THE SAME YEAR. If only we could be so lucky these days.
You have got great taste in music, man. Thank you so much for these lists. ❤ I was born in 94', but grew up listening to these songs..........always happy when I hear one that I haven't in a long time. Or hearing one I never have before.
As i mentioned before SRG you always keep the surprises coming. There's a lot of timeless hits in your latest compilation and a lot of cracking ones too.
Hey I love your video's Pls do one on British Song's of the 80's, I've been dying for one of them Maybe do British Rock and another British Pop of the 80's I hope you continue, your video's keep me coming back to your channel ❤
I really love the early 80s!:)💜come back and stay, come dancing, lets dance and stepping out are some of my favorites✨men at work, the scorpions, bob seger, and def leppard are awesome 😎 the European ones were cool as well💫phenomenal job, some random guy ✌️💖🤩
Excellent collection my thanks.... I remember PhD because he went to number 1..then did the most selfless thing I've ever seen or heard of. He was interviewed and stated he didn't want to be number 1 the following week - he wanted another song to be number 1. The song was Band Aid - do they know its Christmas?
I may have only been 6/7 when these tunes came out, but thanks to music obsessed parents remember them all very clearly ❤. At this pint I was already well known zz top, Kim wilde, duran duran, Billy idol and Paul youg 💕🎵💕🎶💕
Thank you sir for all of your work. Joe Jackson and The Clash made all of that worthwhile. I still listen to Train In Vain weekly. It is kind of sad when you listen to Spandau Ballet, ABC, and Paul Young.... all have amazing voices yet their songs are pretty bad. Appreciate the trip down memory lane.

The 80's were definitely the best decade for me, I was a teenager, dancing to amazing music, without a care in the world..then I kissed a man in a nightclub, caught Glandular Fever/Epstein-Barr virus, got Encephalitis, fell into a coma for 3 weeks and woke up with a Traumatic brain Injury..been disabled ever since..all my hopes and dreams out the window...still, it was a FANTASTIC 10 years 😅
Here is a song that was very successful in Italy but not in the rest of the world in 1982: Paradise - Phoebe Cates. Second best-selling single in 1982 in Italy (behind Der Kommissar - Falco). 23 weeks in the top ten with 9 weeks in first place. Mysteries of music.
Power Of Love by Jennifer Rush is another one. It was a huge hit all over the world except the US. It took nearly a decade for the song to finally top the US charts, except it was Celine Dion's version.
I was in the military from 83-93, a lot of these songs I don’t remember at all, some of the artists. But not the songs, i had a dark job, and I ran with a darker crowd then, hard core metal, etc. but dudes dressed up like chicks, I was into camo and blowing stuff up. I had a completely different experience in the 80’s from most.
Compilación excelente. Por añadiduras faltan de U2 "Sunday Bloody Sunday" y "New Year's Day" (una de las bandas más importantes que nunca incluís en las listas), "Lucky Star" y "Physical Attraction" de Madonna, "The Number of the Beast" y "Hallowed Be Thy Name" de Iron Maiden, "Heat of the Moment" de Asia, "Dance hall days" de Wang Chung, "The model" de Kaftwerk. Y me dejo algunas más.

OH MY GOD so many memories of days in my then home of frisco and great nights with friends and family watching great bands/singers at hotel utah
I turned 15 in 1980 and that was the start of the best decade of my life. So many great memories listening to all these songs...life was good back then.
I was 14 what a great time to be young 🔥🔥🔥 one of the greatest decades in the 20th century
@stewiegriffin5084 I did, too. You're right about great memories etc.
The 80s were a fire decade for music. I can't believe it’s been 44 years since that decade happened.
Me neither, it was an incredible decade, though at least it lives on through music, movies and TV shows.
In 2030, it will be 50 years since the 80s.
It's been 44 years, 8 and a half month since it started. It's been 35 years since the 80s.
Anyone who was born in the 80's and before should be thrilled to have this cracking kind of music come about. I for one am glad i was born in 1980.
How old are we? Where did the time go? 🤷🏼♂️
I'm a 90s baby but more than half of the songs here are still on my playlist in 2024!
I’m so glad I was a kid in the 80’s. A magical decade for so many reasons ❤
80s music is UNBEATABLE !!!! Pure creativity from the mind and the soul composing music !
This really shows how great the 80s were in music. Lots of different styles. Gteat job thanks for posting this.
Say what you will, but we had THE BEST music in the 80's.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
An amazing collection of songs. Brought back a lot of memories. Thanks for uploading.
Turned 7 in September 1979.
Such perfect, sweet, sweet nostalgia! Thanks for the compilation, again!
82-83 is when I started listening to the radio. I remember when so many of these songs were brand new. Fantastic 😍
The best decade for music
Easily.... everyone listened to everything....
The best two years of music in history. Imagine having songs like Eye Of The Tiger and Africa IN THE SAME YEAR. If only we could be so lucky these days.
Not really, there was a lot of cringe too.
In a lot of ways , yes. I’ve been thinking that ‘82-‘83 were the best ‘pop’ years. Some great ‘rock’ too.
What an amazing music we had back then ❤
While I maintain that 1984-5 are the two best years of music in my lifetime, 1982-3 aren't far behind. Wow. Simpler times.
Wow thank you for bringing me back to the greatest music decade ever. I am smiling.
What a rich musical feast! Thanks again!
Funky, soul, pop,new wave, italo disco, reggae, rock, punk, metal, ballad.....simply the 80's simply all music style
This is what I'm saying.
Another great selection, I"m glad I caught it before the copyright strikes arrive. Great to see Cold Chisel made the cut.
I was 5 in 1980, I couldn't ask for a better time in my childhood the music was so amazing i wouldn't change it for any decade.
I turned 9 years old in September of '82. This is literally the soundtrack of my childhood.
1968 here, thanks so much maestro as always 🙏🏻
Edit; watched the whole video and what a complete trip down memory lane (!!!!) thanks again 🙏🏻
You have got great taste in music, man.
Thank you so much for these lists. ❤
I was born in 94', but grew up listening to these songs..........always happy when I hear one that I haven't in a long time.
Or hearing one I never have before.
If I hadn't lived it myself, I would have had a hard time believing that the 80s were that good 😎
R.I.P. Greg Kihn.
Great live band.
A lot of great songs. Two of my favorites years for music.
R. I. P. Greg Kihn (got the news of his passing just a few minutes ago)
Thank you for keeping me young in my head;) Love the vids Random!!
Thank you so much for these videos, it's the perfect way to experience the 80's without having lived through them.🥰
Thanks for bringing me the music from my youth back ... great...
As i mentioned before SRG you always keep the surprises coming. There's a lot of timeless hits in your latest compilation and a lot of cracking ones too.
1982, my favourite year in popular music.
The transition from Falco to After The Fire got me. Btw, another nice work
Absolutely superb compilation 👌 how damn lucky were we to grow up listening to music 🎶 & a simpler time , 😊thanks for that SRG 👍 🎉
Thank you SRG for another great playlist, there’s some great 80’s classics there. 😊
'80s not 80's
@@kevint8887 I stand corrected 80s
mere 2 years and so much more musical diversity and pure creativity than the last 10 years. genuinely sad.
Great video! Thanks Random 👌
Great music with no auto tune.
Remember the 80's oh so well. And miss them oh so much.
In my life the 80's were fun and had so much fun ❤
unbelievable it was over 40 years ago!
No one comes close to you for Incredible Nostalgia ❣️
A lot of greats in here, happy 42nd birthday to them
Yay! Another great compilation. Thanks!
The best music in the world

Love your Videos. ❣️
Greetings from Germany. 💞
❤️🩷🧡💛💚💙🩵💜🤎🖤🩶🤍
The 80s were the best decade for music. Sadly, we recently lost Greg Kihn (as well as Great White vocalist Jack Russell).
Hey I love your video's
Pls do one on British Song's of the 80's, I've been dying for one of them
Maybe do British Rock and another British Pop of the 80's
I hope you continue, your video's keep me coming back to your channel ❤
Why do you add an apostrophe into the simple plural, videos? Moron
Reason 80$ was the best. Every type of music. We had it all.
Wunderschön, wie immer ❤❤❤
I really love the early 80s!:)💜come back and stay, come dancing, lets dance and stepping out are some of my favorites✨men at work, the scorpions, bob seger, and def leppard are awesome 😎 the European ones were cool as well💫phenomenal job, some random guy ✌️💖🤩
Better than these days.
Brilliant list. Probably do with an extra 3-4 seconds per clip.
Copyright issues.
RIP Greg Kihn
Omg ! How I wish I have a 80s Time Machine , I miss that era so so so many much
Good job as always 😊
Excellent collection my thanks.... I remember PhD because he went to number 1..then did the most selfless thing I've ever seen or heard of. He was interviewed and stated he didn't want to be number 1 the following week - he wanted another song to be number 1.
The song was Band Aid - do they know its Christmas?
depressing...thanks for letting me know how old i am now....good job man....
When music was music..miss those days.
Good list! Wish Fantasy by Aldo Nova and Rock This Town by Stray Cats was on there, but I really like house of fun :)
20 minutes of pure happiness
Love the eighties, best decade ever❤
I may have only been 6/7 when these tunes came out, but thanks to music obsessed parents remember them all very clearly ❤. At this pint I was already well known zz top, Kim wilde, duran duran, Billy idol and Paul youg 💕🎵💕🎶💕
very good selection of hits
Love it, thank you so much!
So love these songs
Thank you sir for all of your work. Joe Jackson and The Clash made all of that worthwhile. I still listen to Train In Vain weekly. It is kind of sad when you listen to Spandau Ballet, ABC, and Paul Young.... all have amazing voices yet their songs are pretty bad. Appreciate the trip down memory lane.

The 80's were definitely the best decade for me, I was a teenager, dancing to amazing music, without a care in the world..then I kissed a man in a nightclub, caught Glandular Fever/Epstein-Barr virus, got Encephalitis, fell into a coma for 3 weeks and woke up with a Traumatic brain Injury..been disabled ever since..all my hopes and dreams out the window...still, it was a FANTASTIC 10 years 😅
Thanks a lot !
A lot of them either never reached the UK, or just missed me...
You’re right a lot of American stuff here which were never released here in the UK. In most cases I’m glad as a lot of it was terrible.
Yes!
Awesome! ❤️
RIP Greg Kihn. They don't write em' like that anymore.
When I first heard it, I thought it was from Bruce Hornsby. Howard Jones never disappoints me.
wish i could give this vid 1,000 up-votes, instead of just one.
Perfect collection!!!
Época inesquecível!!
I genuinely think pop music peaked in 1983
100% Agree
Durante as extraordinárias décadas de 70 e 80, tivemos alguns anos especialíssimos: 1982 foi um deles!!!
Wow, powerful memories ❤❤❤
Here is a song that was very successful in Italy but not in the rest of the world in 1982:
Paradise - Phoebe Cates.
Chisel, Icehouse, Dragon, Goana, wasn't expecting them.
I'd love to find a time machine! Go back for sure! when music was music!
Sensacional !
I am surprised they didn't throw in ELO and REO SPEEDWAGON
Well, I am missing at least 200 more. ;-)
From 82-83 ?
@@lexkanyima2195 Yes!
If i had a time machine....
Whaou, THANKS ! 🥰🤩👍
So many great songs. My favorite is Take a Chance With Me by Roxy Music. INXS was woefully missing.
Compilación excelente. Por añadiduras faltan de U2 "Sunday Bloody Sunday" y "New Year's Day" (una de las bandas más importantes que nunca incluís en las listas), "Lucky Star" y "Physical Attraction" de Madonna, "The Number of the Beast" y "Hallowed Be Thy Name" de Iron Maiden, "Heat of the Moment" de Asia, "Dance hall days" de Wang Chung, "The model" de Kaftwerk. Y me dejo algunas más.
Thanks!👍👍👍
The Best decade of the music🤩🤩🤩🤩until now
Naked eyes made some MASTERPIECES
some good music! some of these songs are from 1984
... and 1981
