Guys!! Wow, it looks like RUclips failed to notify us of your comment!! Sorry for the late response! You’ll be happy to know we reacted to Iris also, and you won us over with that one 😉 y’all are incredible, keep up the amazing work, we’re here for it! Much love from Wyoming!
The Bass Gang is in the process of producing a 4 song album. First done a couple of weeks ago - Arabian Nights, the other one just dropped is Be Prepared. Both are located in the Czech Republic and all four were going to meet there for this. Marwan who is in Egypt couldn't get it through the minds of the authorities that he was going for work and they blocked his visa. He's the lead singer in Arabian Nights and needed a location (Egypt's Sahara Desert), a camera crew, a dancer and communications with the other guys. It all worked amazingly. This week they still didn't have Marwan in person so the Director stood in for him, but Tomi is Scar in this one, Peter Barber the hyena with Aladdin's Lamp. Their production value has skyrocketed on this project and I think it's second only to VoicePlay. And speaking of VoicePlay, they dropped Hellfire today. WOWZA.
Marwan (you pronounced it right, Matt) did the arrangement, mixing, editing, and video…and is a teenager. I can’t wait to see where he goes in the future. Tomi P (the one wearing the bandanna who looks like he lost a fight) is in the Czech Republic and has the most ridiculous range and amazing whistle notes. He does a medley of Avi Kaplan songs that Avi actually complimented him on. Peter Barber is the gentleman in the scarf. He is a trained opera singer who does a lot on TikTok and also has a really cool reaction channel of his own where he does breakdown and analysis. And yes, his cover of Enemy is pretty amazing. Bobby Bass is the one with the beard and bomber jacket. He is a member of the Wellermen and just has really cool stuff all over the place. Jonathan is the one you were referring to as GVA and his RUclips channel is amazing. That crazy low notes that got you guys is unique to him. He has actually mastered what is called false fold subharmonics. It’s weird and amazing. Marwan did an interview/reaction over on Mortius’ channel breaking absolutely every aspect of this down. There was an 11 part harmony in one spot and in another spot all four members were using a very different technique to hit their notes simultaneously. It’s crazy. Pappy D over there has some really cool recommendations. As for me, I recommend going with Bones or Yellow Flicker Beat. And I’m not sorry and you’re welcome. Fantastic reaction and welcome to the gang.
The bass gang is Marwan Ayman ( Egyptian), Bobby Bass (heavy beard), Peter Barber (light scruff), and Tomi P (bandana on head), the Avi lookalike is Jonathan Young
Awesome reaction brothers. Now y'all need to check out Bury a Friend or Hide and Seek with Lauren Paley. Both are amazing and then some. Tomi P (the guy in the bandana) does an amazing version of My Mother Told Me. Peter Barber (the white guy with the scarf) has a version of Enemy that is just as amazing.
YES!! The Bass Gang. Great reaction, looking forward to more! Any song they've done is great! Now Peter Barber released not too long ago "Enemy" ! You really need to check this one out!! It's nothing like this song!
Wonderful reaction, glad yall loved it and enjoyed watching the stunned expressions. Jonathan is a wonderful artist, I hope yall will take a dive down that rabbit hole.
Glad you gave the Bass Gang a listen and enjoyed them. I think they are awesome. Definitely listen with bass headphones, the bass line(s) are there. Looking forward to you guys hearing more!
The Bass Gang guys are amazing singularly and collectively. Suggestions for individual videos--Tomi P: Hellfire. Filmed at the ruins of a real castle in Czech Republic, he darkens it so you KNOW the dude is crazy. Peter Barber: Enemy or main theme from Game of Thrones, which is acapella. Bobby Bass: Oh, Death with Colm McGuinness and Lauen Pauley (the Tik Tok Stairwell Siren). Marwan Ayman: Grim Grinning Ghosts is his latest. Bobby has a Tik Tok bass group called The Wellermen. He arranged a version of Misty Mountains under that title with 20 bass singers. 20. Mind blowing. There are two videos--look for the one with the singers (only 16 are featured). Also a group with Bobby called The Bass Singers of Tik Tok did a dark version of Hoist the Colors. (These are pirates, not Disney characters). I'm waaaaay down the bass rabbit hole.
This was great. I love The Bass Gang! Pretty much any video they put out is great. And Johnathan Young (GVA) is just amazing. He does alot of Disney covers and Disney goes metal.
Awesome reaction as always. Definitely check out more of the Bass Gang - Iris, Mad World, Yellow Flicker Beat, Emperor's New clothes, Bones, Bury a Friend, Hide and Seek (feat. Lauren Paley - who also featured on Voiceplay version of the same song). Also check out their personal channels - Bobby Bass, Marwan Ayman, Peter Barber and Tomi P. A few songs to check out: Marwan Ayman: Heat Wave, Grim Grinning Ghosts, Moment of Silence. Peter Barber: Game of Thrones theme, Enemy, Otherside, Leaves from the vine. Tomi P: Hellfire, Unholy, Lullaby of Wow (Witcher), Sweet Dreams
The four guys have VERY different vocal tonalities so it’s extremely difficult for them to get a good mix, on top of the fact that they all record and film separately, scattered across the world. Considering that, the final product is actually pretty amazing. The best mixed song on Vol 2 is their Mad World cover, and it also has the lowest notes. It features Elliott Robinson who has an expansive low chest range into the 1st octave. I highly recommend reacting to that next! The guy in the white scarf, Peter Barber, has a reaction channel here on YT. He gives in depth analysis from a bass/opera perspective. I also recommend checking out his channel!
I'm so SOOOO happy you got to The Bass Gang. 🙂 These guys are incredibly talented and awfully underrated and overlooked. But they are in their full right the 4th "pole" of the a cappella "quadrifecta", and they have a very unique style and both video and sound "signature". 🙂 I'm really curious to see your reaction to some of their past videos, be it their version of "Hide and Seek - Ding Dong" or their cover of "Mad World" or maybe their first video, Emperor's new clothes". But again, you can't fail with these guys either. 🙂 See you next time! 🙂
OK… Left to right: Marwan Ayman, the arranger-he’s 18, maybe 19 now. #Genius. Bobby Bass, also in the group-The Wellermen-and does a TON of collabs with other artists. Middle guy is the featured guest, Jonathan Young, an amazing metal vocalist. The cleanest guy is Peter Barber, professional opera singer, also does fantastic reactions. Last, the beat-up looking guy is Tomi P-he’s from the Czech Republic (you REALLY REALLY need to check out his cover of Unholy-the “video” is audio only but you really have to hear it-you’re going to be gobsmacked). These guys all have incredible solo channels as well. You just entered an amazing rabbit hole, and you really do have to check out more! And those high notes? All these guys can get up into 5th octave, and at least half of them get way up in the 6th. All of them can do subs all the way into the 1st octave and I’m pretty sure all of them may even get down to A and B0. ALL these guys are in their teens or 20’s, the group only has like 11 or 12 songs out and they don’t have a ton of resources, and they are already just killing it. I’ve been a huge fan since their first release.
Happy to see you checking out the Bass Gang, I'm loving their journey to stardom hopefully. Tomi P is my absolute favorite and I'd love seeing you checking out some of his solo work....I'm currently obsessed with his cover of Unholy, it's amazing. Also Hellfire and his Avi Kaplan medley are great
Welcome to another amazing rabbit hole of a cappella. The Bass Gang will not fail. There are so many videos, whether as a group or individually, I'd recommend for you to watch. My first The Bass Gang song I heard was Emperor's Clothes, and I was instantly hooked on the group.
Really?! How have got this long without hearing these gentlemen?! For some crazy comparison check out their version of Hide & Seek ft Lauren Paley. I know you guys did the Voice Play one. Same song, very different arrangement. I agree with @BurnsBridges with the Bones and Yellow Flicker Beat. Another thing.. All are crazy low bass singers. Peter is a pro opera singer in the US.
Great reaction. Always love seeing others get their minds blown by these amazing vocal talents. Next, definitely do Mad World. May the Bass be with you!
I was wondering why you hadn’t covered them because they are incredibly talented. You really need to go down this path. All of these guys are insanely talented. They also sometimes collaborate with others who are equally talented. Love their cover of Bones. Jonathan Young was pretty tame compared to a lot of his covers. I’m not a huge metal head but if I were he’d be one of my favorites. Marwan has several TikTok videos where he does seven or eight parts from low bass to high tenor and beatboxing just for one little section of a song and it’s pretty impressive. His deep bass has a really unusual tone. In their cover of hide and seek he hits a low that is insane. Tomi P recently did a cover of Unholy that I actually like better than the original. I’ve followed Peter for quite some time as he is also a reactor and analyst. He has talked about the bass gang and finally I went to watch them and I think I’ve seen everything they’ve done so far. They are each really talented on their own and together they’re quite a force of nature. You really should check out their individual pages as well. Often they’ll do duets instead of the whole group.
Theyre bass stars, individually and together. Marwan is only 18 and is a genious, Tomi P has a huge range, Peter Barber is the opera singer with a bad boy streak, Bobby Bass with the deep butter voice.
So glad you guys got to The Bass Gang. I agree with the people recommending Hide & Seek and Peter Barber's Enemy. I would also add The Summit by Peter Barber and Bobby Bass. Yeah, you really can't go wrong going down this rabbit hole.
Another really fun reaction ! You keep introducing me to people and music I would never think I would like and broadening my music experiences . Thank you!
glad you guys did this! the bass gang is a really cool indie group. any of the other 3 covers from bass gang volume 2 are worth a watch. you mostly got the members Marwan is the one with the fro, Tomi is the skinny one, bobby has the full beard and Peter had the earrings here. also, Tomi's cover of hellfire is super amazing as well. ruclips.net/video/3-l23zWvSsM/видео.html. the featured artist Jonathan young ( VBA) does full-on head-banger rock covers so his channel is worth a look at some point.
ok, you guys somehow had missed hearing both Jonathan Young AND The Bass Gang? Oh wow. The Bass Gang is relatively new (i think 2 years in January; with two 4-5 track EPs and less than that many things not on EPs), so the rabbit hole is pretty short. a bit more if you chase down the stuff each member has done (which you should). Jonathan Young, though...holy crap he has so much stuff. I really don't know how you guys have missed him, he's HUGE. and you should absolutely chase down that rabbit hole. And JY will lead you very quickly to Caleb Hyles (they've done a lot of colabs, including the entire soundtrack to Prince of Egypt and most, if not all, of The Greatest Showman), and you should run down his rabbit hole too.
What’s infuriating is that I know to do that (usually by the time I call Geek Squad I’ve turned it off and back on, and then I’ve actually turned it off, disconnected the power, and given it a minute before plugging it back in and restarting). And then the GS guy will turn it off and back on and it works. 🤬. I also ALWAYS power off.
I was waiting for the pronunciation! Lol - church stars for blue - is nothing I’ve never heard, and I know one rocker who will lose his mind. Maybe- who knows. Lmao. Yep.
Ive listened to this song so many times i don't even listen to the lead i just listen to the background because there is so much more going on and i already know the lead like peters B0 chest fry (i believe) at 9:59
Ooook you guys should really react to Jonathan Young (great value Avi… smh lol) he does metal/punk covers of all kinds of songs, I feel like he would be very up your alley
3:27 C1 chest fry? 3:32 forget the song this is the best part and it aint even close 7:10 and 7:18 tf tomi?! 9:58 C1-*B0* chest fry 10:29 B4 mix and marwans bass! 10:36 C1 sub?? 12:20 G1-F#1-E1-G1 throat bass? 12:27 C1 sub 12:30 Tomis high note
Hey guys been watching yall for a while, love the content. You should 100% react to Polyphia Ego Death. Heard it yesterday and its been on repeat since!
Thanks for the reaction!
We hope to bump that rating up to a 5/5 some day!
Guys!! Wow, it looks like RUclips failed to notify us of your comment!! Sorry for the late response! You’ll be happy to know we reacted to Iris also, and you won us over with that one 😉 y’all are incredible, keep up the amazing work, we’re here for it! Much love from Wyoming!
Did peter hit a B0 at 9:59?!
Thanks for the reaction fellas! Really enjoyed watching this. 🙏🏼❤
Thanks so much for swinging by and checking us out! Fine job on the tune and more reactions to come for sure!
Please, please also check out Marwan’s solo channel!!
@@307Reacts you must watch the bass gangs “hide and seek” it’s freakin epic!!!!!!!
This brought me so much joy. Thank you everyone!
You should check out their version of Yellow flicker beat, featuring Colm McGuinness. And then go down the rabbit hole that is his channel!

The Bass Gang, Mad World. It is considered their Bassiest song.

What they said
It is just called subharmonics. Subharmonics are produced by the false folds in the larynx. The false folds are not part of the name though
You should definitely react to more Bass Gang! You won't regret it.
The bass gang is Marwan Ayman ( Egyptian), Bobby Bass (heavy beard), Peter Barber (light scruff), and Tomi P (bandana on head), the Avi lookalike is Jonathan Young

Peter Barber is an opera singer and also does reactions here on YT.
Love the Bass Gang! Their stuff only gets better.
You should for sure check out their cover of Mad World, it's absolutely bone-chilling
Definitely need to react to Jonathan Young (GVA)...lol
Check out more bass gang!!! Mad world and yellow flicker beat are my favorites, but there are tones of great ones.

Just rewatched and laughed all over again at the GVA

Can't wait till y'all do the latest from The Bass Gang! Everyone is freaking out! 🤣
YAY Bass Gang reaction, was hoping you guys would get on them. Definitely check out Emperor's New Clothes cover, so so good.
Great reaction. Always love seeing others get their minds blown by these amazing vocal talents. Next, definitely do Mad World. May the Bass be with you!
A good place to start with Jonathan Youngs covers. disney covers "Hell fire" "Be prepared" and lots more
❤

I mean, it IS called the bass gang.
the think jon does in the middle is basically a false chord subharmonic, it's mostly used in beatboxing
You guys have to check out their cover of Mad World. It is still one of my most favorite songs ever!
You have to check out the new video "Hooked on a feeling" with Tim Foust from Home Free
Bass Gang is legit! This was a fun reaction video.
If you are looking for more bass from the group, try their cover of Mad World or Yellow Flicker Beat
So glad you guys got to The Bass Gang. I agree with the people recommending Hide & Seek and Peter Barber's Enemy. I would also add The Summit by Peter Barber and Bobby Bass. Yeah, you really can't go wrong going down this rabbit hole.
I’m late in finding this one, but I’m very happy you found The Bass Gang and Jonathan Young!
Do more bass gang 😂❤️ I'll be back to check 🧐
Check out Tomi P doing Hellfire. It's amazing.
Marwan, Tomi and Peter all have You Tube channels..you should check them..Marwan is such a prodigy when it comes to arranging..
Another really fun reaction ! You keep introducing me to people and music I would never think I would like and broadening my music experiences . Thank you!
the one in the middle [gva] is Jonathan Young
Yo check out the bass gang with Tim Foust. The bassssss
You should check Yellow flecker beat, that’s my favourite of group!!
glad you guys did this! the bass gang is a really cool indie group. any of the other 3 covers from bass gang volume 2 are worth a watch. you mostly got the members Marwan is the one with the fro, Tomi is the skinny one, bobby has the full beard and Peter had the earrings here. also, Tomi's cover of hellfire is super amazing as well. ruclips.net/video/3-l23zWvSsM/видео.html. the featured artist Jonathan young ( VBA) does full-on head-banger rock covers so his channel is worth a look at some point.
When Matt said "Two things", I thought that was Chris' line! You should check out their version of "Hoist The Colors".
It’s actually a Tim Foust reference 😂

React to hide and seek ding dong
Marwan is 19
Marwan amen Bobby Watters tomi p Peter barber
get a bigger hammer and hit any key to continue????
Not a fan of them together. Separately they are all great but they just don't come together enough for me. Their mixes don't mesh very well.
