For clarification the larger one was overweight at one point but they are both on a diet right now because they both shot up in weight recently

Why do people give dogs just enough food to keep them alive??? My son had a dog that got 1 cup of dry dog food a day. That poor dog was starving all day long and when she begged from everybody who came into the house, she'd get in trouble for begging!!

I agree with you I have never in my life seen someone feed a dog so little that’s like straight abuse

​@Sosueet sometimes a puzzle feeder can prevent gobbling then throwing back up, but I hope that food happens often through the day because that looks miserable. They need some wet meat too.

Do these dogs look like they are starving to you?
The volume of the portion does not dictate the nutritional value.
High quality food saturates and contain all they need.
