@@redshift1 Greaves Return, a little known mod. Not sure how I heard about it originally, or who’s YT channel uses it, but it’s on Nexus(hopefully also Bethesda as an XB1 player). There’s also a new, less buggy mod called something like pauldrons&greaves. Or Bikini World.

3:50 Not actually leather. They're wearing what looks to be gambeson, which is padded textile armor. Think thick layers of linen or wool. It's what was actually used historically as light armor as opposed to leather. Leather on the ither hand was very rarely used as full armor pieces, usually only used for gloves, boots, belts, and straps. And the gambeson makes sense for Skyrim anyway, as it also works doubly not as just armor but warmth. EDIT Okay i see the leather "plate" on his chest. The gambeson im referring to are his sleeves and pants, that puffy looking material.
I've been playing a "thane of Skyrim" playthrough which is similar to just playing a hero of skyrim but with am emphasis on helping the Jarls of all different holds. The sons of Skyrim mod has made this so much more fun and immersive. I love all of the armors especially the Riften, Winterhold, Falkreath, Morthal, and Dawnstar sets. Dawnstar and Morthal being my favorite. I'm basically a battlemage Imperial trying to change the views that the people of skyrim have towards imperials. I've also joined the Silver hand also using Nordwars faction armor replacer, I use maces, axes, Warhammers, greatswords, crossbows, shiled, destruction, restoration, and illusion for the companion buffing spells. It's such a fun playthrough
These are so beautiful. If I hadn't played the last three iterations of Morrowind til my eyes bled, fell out and bled again I would play this game again. For now I will keep watching these vids and dreaming.

Sons of Skyrim isn't my type of armor mod seeing as I like the gurads armor to stick closer to vanilla with some modded alterations but it is a really cool looking mod. I just feel like it takes away too much from the vanilla anesthetics.
The sons if skyrim mod is epic lots of anglo saxon and danish armour... but whiterun sadly used lord of the rings rohan armour... as a fan of both franchises I can't be immersed while looking at a character from a different franchise
The xbox port of armors of the velothi part 2 is a bit borked. All the npcs added with the new sets have a weird face texture, the corpse with the ashlander set is not by fort frostmoth and the ashlander bow texture is missing. I wish people took more care in porting mods to xbox.
I need help I'm following fudgemuppets viking build that features this mod but I've noticed some characters or items have red !'s especially all of the white run guards I've seen, I've tried changing the mod loading rules, downloading other sons of skyrims mods to say if they work but nothing. Idk if it's like a mod overlapping thing or if it's out of date or what please help
While I was looking for armor and weapon mods in Nexus, I was fed up and overwhelmed by the page being filled with sexualized freak mods. Thanks to your videos, I was saved from long searches in Nexus. By the way, when I install the Sons of Skyrim mod, for some reason the characters' boots and gloves become invisible (they exist as armor, but the models are invisible). Do you know how to fix it?
Hey, can someone let me know how to install Sons of Skyrim. I try to install everything needed from vortex but it just doesn't work, thr guards still have the vanilla armor and are missing feet and hands
that happens when you install it mid-plathrough if I recall correctly - i don't think theres an easy fix other than selecting every guard you see and typing "resetinventory" into the conmsole
The Morag-Tong looks very good, although i never will understand why these Armours always need to have those fuc*ing, clumsey Pauldrons on it! *Thieves and Assasins need to be quick, agile and quiet ; so, big clumsey pieces like metal or bone plates are the most stupid decision, one can make! I am not talking about "Catsuits" and so alike ; PRAGMATIC, REAL Clothes, i am talking about 😉 Non of these Mods provide this aspect, unfortunately - a bit more immersion when it comes to Armours, please!

Immersion seems to be a big thing in Skyrim modding, these days - Armours and Uniforms of the particular Fractions, Brotherhoods ans Guilds, should make some sense at least! If you plan to break into a house, you would never wear your "Fullmetal-Suit", right?! You'd be an complete idiot to do such stupid actions - same with the Armours in Skyrim 🙂

I don't get super skimpy armor mods either but I also like semi skimpy clothing mods that show off the body mods I add. It's all personal taste tbh.

All of these are fantastic but Sons of Skyrim and Velothi armor are definitely a standout imo. Another mods added to my games.

Elevenia - the bow ups you about 15 smithing points. Red riding hood is another good one , using flowers to smith armoured clothing.
