the original roof was not red tile, but green slate

they replaced the original roof sometime in the 90s, maybe late 80s. Not sure why they didn't go with slate, unless they couldn't find installers@@fzarchitecture Look at early photos and you will see the difference
the slate gave the house a much more autumnal tone@@fzarchitecture
