Hey Gabriel, good to see you. Years ago I used weed and hash a lot. It was enjoyable at first but in the end I got fearful and paranoid whenever I smoked. The last time I took it was when I was homeless, it is was a very unpleasant experience and very intense. It seemed to me that I could hear the voices of my ancestors going back thousands of generations all yelling at me "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!!!!" Haven't taken any since.

@heyguys1685Nah bro I wouldn’t advertise mushrooms that way. They didn’t leave me traumatized, they helped to heal me and in a more enlightened/compassionate space for others and the Earth. I’m a small girl, 110 lbs and I took a whole 3.5 of shrooms by myself. It’s not like that acid man made shit that leaves people permanently fucked up. Mushrooms are natural should be respected as such and if they left you traumatized you are the one who took them in a bad mind space! You are supposed to take them with someone you trust and try to think positively throughout. My experience was me laughing my ass off and then sobbing hysterically. It was healing though idk how to explain it.

Thank you for your honesty Warrior. God bless you & may God deliver you from your sorrows. Cannabis does increase psychosis. I see it in my daughter. 🙏🏻💕❤️

@heyguys1685The THC in cannabis triggers schizophrenia in some people. Research has indicated a clear link between cannabis use and psychosis.

My son has recently been diagnosed with schizophrenia and is in a mental health unit at the moment with psychosis. He usually smokes weed excessively. He won't believe that it can cause psychotic episodes and says he uses it to mask his symptoms. What advice would you give me as a parent on how to support or respond to him on this matter?

I am kind of the same way right now, I use weed to get out of reality because i don’t have to worry about things I am aware of the psychotic symptoms now and the best advice I can give you is show him other people’s experiences with cannabis. I didn’t piece things together until really learning about the illness and the first video I seen on Gabriel’s channel just resonated so much I feel like that really helped me knowing I’m not alone in a sense even though the I always feel alone no matter what, be supportive and always reassure him that you are on his side and you are there whenever he needs you these types of things can be very disorienting so really make sure the things you say are gonna ground him to reality when his symptoms appear, best of luck to you I know how difficult it is I’m very certain he will get better with time!

Im diagnosed with schizophrenia, smoking weed or smoking anything even grains of sand or animal furr. I want the distraction from the voices overwhelming me. Ill have the most symptoms when people take away my smokes. Im fine chain smoking tobacco and with beer. If i go into hard alcohol or just smoking hashish or heroin i actually will be fully employed. Stop blaming substances for your own traumas.

Thanks for sharing your experience. (Of course not a doctor here) the edibles (CBD is nice) might be better than smoking. Also there are relaxants that arent as strong. Linden tea really helps me out. Stay well friend

Since you've been smoking and have a healthy relationship with weed, yes. By healthy I mean you don't have anxiety or problems while smoking. And even so, that is something you can overcome, unless its your first time smoking and all you've ever experienced is negative effects from weed. In that case, it'd probably be best to not smoke. But in your case I see no issue with it. We are all different and can have different reactions to different things. Weed shouldn't kill you or do anything like that, but people can still fear it will. Or some people just got something up with them that doesn't allow them to enjoy weed or get any benefit from it. And in that case you obviously shouldn't smoke it. But that's just that inviduals experience. You just have to know how it effects you, and since you've already smoked then it should be fine. I can only see you possibly creating some anxiety over it now because you know your schizophrenic and think something might happen if you smoke now, even though you already have a relationship with weed that was probably enjoyable and chill. So you could create some problems with it from anxiety or whatever, but this is just mental and something you can overcome with time and effort, if you actually wanna keep smoking even if it gives you some negative effects. Ik I had a problem with anxiety and my heart for a period after having already smoked for a long time. But after months I finally got to a point I could smoke again. And I didnt even need to, it was just something I enjoyed doing and wanted to enjoy again. So when I felt it was right, I weened myself back onto weed, so I could be comfortable with it. N I mean WEENED myself back on, straight lighting a roach as an incent and breathing that in abit until I felt like it was enough, so that I could get the slightest high and try and enjoy it and be comfortable with it. Over time I got back to how I would usually smoke, and began to enjoy it just how I previously did. But if I smoked too much then I was in for a bad time lol. But I knew I'd probably be fine, and at this point I had experienced it a number of times and had begun to get abit used to it, and not as scared that I was gonna die or somethin lol.
