    Ham and cheese sandwich. Mini lunch.
    Yield: 12 pieces.
    Ingredients:
    650 grams of strong wheat flour (5 ¼ cups).
    240 grams of warm milk (1 cup).
    100 grams of sugar (½ cup).
    70 grams of butter (¼ cup + 1 tablespoon).
    10 grams of dry yeast (1 ½ teaspoon).
    2 eggs.
    7 grams of salt (1 teaspoon).
    Egg for painting.
    Filling (your choice):
    Pork or turkey ham.
    Cheddar, gouda, Edam, Latin cheese.
    Bacon.
    Preparation:
    In a bowl place the warm milk, butter, sugar, salt, eggs and yeast.
    Stir these ingredients until they are well integrated.
    Add flour little by little, mix until a paste is formed and add the rest of the flour.
    Knead very well for ten minutes until you have a smooth, elastic dough that does not stick to the table or your hands.
    Place the dough in a bowl and let it rest for 30 minutes.
    Stretch the dough on the table with a rolling pin about 1 centimeter thick.
    In the center of the dough place the cheese, cover it with one of the sides of the dough and place the ham on top.
    You can add golden bacon shavings or any other ingredient to your liking.
    Cover the ham with the remaining dough, press on the edges so that the dough does not come off.
    Cut pieces 4 or 5 centimeters thick, place them on a baking sheet.
    Let them ferment in a warm place for 45 to 60 minutes.
    Paint them with beaten egg.
    Bake in a preheated oven at 180° C / 350° F for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
    They can be eaten warm or cold.
