People that are complaining about his guitar, have you thought about maybe it's his way of coping with nervousness on the stage in front of a large audience? If you ever been on that stage, it's a lot of pressure with the spotlight hitting on you and audience looking at you. Then you forget what you were going to say and get more nervous.
It's to help distract him from the black man in front with the light eyes. I feel like that was obvious.
Also, it reminds me of Demetri Martin, who's one of my favorite comedians. He loves doing non-sequitur jokes while playing guitar. :)

On every group of Filipino friends, there's always the one that brings their guitar on a get together. He can strum up a song on a dime, his playlist is versatile and fun, plus he can sing! We'll all gather around him, 8-10 deep, buzzing hard and feeling good as we hear him start to warm up his fingers on his guitar. He busts out a song and we all sing with him. Song after song we sing and drink and it is us that are trying to keep up with him, and loving it! We all have this friend❤💯
