Michael that is cool you have another room to escape. Perhaps this will help. My Toyota Sienna has the EcoFlow Delta 2 with two 100 watt solar panels mounted to the roof rack. In Southern California I have almost all the power I need for under $1,000. Consider a DC-DC charger from Ecoflow, Bluetti or Pecron to charge up to 800 watts when driving. We all have different use cases. Escape!
@@tumbleweed1976 my sienna has no roof rack and I've learned it can't be added. I have an ACO power Lion cooler refrigerator freezer and two solar panels and 4 batteries. Not sure if I actually still need a power station. What do you think?
@ So long as your energy needs get you through to the next day you are golden! How many watts are your 2 panels? Mine are 100 watts each and top off my battery daily. But I get good sun in California.
Nice to see you back with another Sienna! I'm starting slowly on my conversion. I already had the van, lots of camping gear including a cot, so starting slowly to see what it's actually like to stay in the minivan while travelling. I did invest in some technology with a couple of portable power stations, a 12-volt fridge, and portable solar panels which will make it easier to keep home-cooked meals on hand when I am able to travel. Thanks for sharing those tubs that Toyota makes to access the storage space, I'll have to see if they exist for my 2005 Sienna.
@@tracyhardyjohnson1315 nice! Good luck with your build. I looked up the tubs and they’ve discontinued even mine. So, there might be something secondhand out there. I saw a really nice build with wood last night that makes me still consider going that route. Thanks for visiting!
SWEET! I guess that finding an AWD minivan in the midwest is not as hard as in the West Coast. Those pine planks are very easy and convenient to work with.😉
Have my bed against the driver seat and fridge at the back. Easy access from inside and outside under the rear hatch cover. Tried other ways and find this the best so far.
I'm considering between a Sienna or Dodge Caravan/Pacifica due to their stowaway features of the seats. But I keep leaning towards a (no build) Toyota Sienna for overall value and reliability (repair costs as well). Looking forward to learning from your videos!
Some folks take the stow away seats out of the Dodge Caravan and if frees up even more space. I think the DGC has better storage overall, but is not known to be as reliable.
You popped that back seat out so easily but it looks heavy. However, it gives you such great storage area in its place. I hope to do the same but don’t know how or where I will store the seat with that large bracket on the bottom. How and where do you store yours? Thanks for the vid, and congrats on the upgrade to a newer van!
I just bought my 2025 Woodland edition AWD Sienna. It drives like a dream. It’s my daily driver and it’s also going to be my camper. Can’t wait to see the rest. Do you have a link for the Toyota bins? I just ordered from your links the mattress, sheet and frame. I removed the third row and I’m keeping one of the middle captain chair.
@@jeanwest1058 hi, so cool that your making a no build camper with the 2025 Sienna. It’ll be a lot of fun. I’m not sure if the 2025 is different, but these are the bins for 2023: amzn.to/3AQXTKl. I’m going to check on Toyota to see if they will work.
Question I’m not good with woodworking. I have a 22 year-old Oldsmobile silhouette van with only 113,000 miles on. It runs good thinking of changing into a camper van but I don’t have no fold away seats and I’m a big guy so I’m not sure if this is feasible for me I’m 6 foot five and over 300
It’s feasible, I’m not sure about the inside dimensions. But, I remember riding in them back in the 90s. You might want to remove some seats before adding a bed.
6:10 your back on your way straight up alot of Vanlife people will be happy too see you back
@@lowermichiganadventures I missed the minivan. The Jeep was fun, but not convenient for camping like I expected.

I've done my no-build van. Still contemplating my power station. Loving the idea of the camper van though. My friends call it my abandonment van!
