They are not 10 years ahead of their time. They are 60 years ahead of their time! B-52's...I salute you! Perhaps 20 years from now, people will begin to appreciate and realise how awesome b-52's are in a big way. My wish is that all the remaining b-52's members will live long enough to see that day.
I was working as a chef when this came out and my line partner was into death metal and other dark hardcore bands. I put this in the tape player and about halfway through he was like "this isn't too bad". Weeks later he had memorized almost the whole album and it was really funny to see a guy with long black hair and other than an apron always wore black clothes dancing around the kitchen singing Butterbean and Whammy Kiss. Great times + great music = great memories!! Thanks B-52's (and Drew of course................)

j allen Bradley I've been getting your messages, I've been busy get getting whacked on the patties by Connie. I grant you +6 slack because I'm a nice prophet.
B-52's is a very unique band consisting of 60's Beach Boys surf guitar, Germany 70's Kraftwerk synths, 70's British Punk Rock drums & rhythm, with Western 60's style vocals. Some how with their vision they made it worked perfectly...kudos to a great band.
This is the bomb!!!!. :-). .You get the B52's or not......They are fantastic........I have this album in many formats...Seen them a few times a few places around the world......BRILLIANT....
i don't care how bad a day you've had. throw on some b52's and magically you are in a great mood and you want to party lol no other band has that quality!
I get that, but this millennial generation really is messed up. You tell me, what is the original, innovative sound in music today? I can name dozens great bands from the 70s, 80s and 90s.

Legal tender was the first song I think I ever heard by them. It was brand new and had just hit the radio. I was just a kid, and was only 'in to' my dad's music, count basie, stan getz, duke, big band, the like... this Legal tender stuff flipped me out.
Always loved this record ... but OMG what happened at 10:26? Also, Fred is from NJ and we saw him on the train to NYC one afternoon - that was awesome.
A superb one-of-a-kind performance by a one-of-a-kind band. The only one in that picture who is from our planet Earth is the dog, and I'm not even sure of that!
I don't get it... How is this FULL album allowed to be posted for all to hear and steal for free, but when I share a cover of a song that sounds so close to the original they think its original, it gets flagged.
Alizee Defan at the time they were criticized for getting away from their original garage new wave sounds of the first two albums to a more techno disco dance style of this album and Mesopotamia before this (released in 82 and except for a couple of tracks was awful). This album rocks though. I personally think its one of their best.
They seem intelligent, but... did they ever realize that an apostrophe denotes a possessive? The B-52's what? The B-52's wing? Engine? Cockpit seating arrangement?
Before you cunning linguists start on me, I'm aware that "its" and "your" are possessive without an apostrophe, but "it's" and "you're" are non-possessive and have an apostrophe. But you wouldn't call a band The U2's. - I like the Beatle's and the Rolling Stone's, but my favorite is Elvi's Presley.

I truly believe the B-52s and the Talking Heads are genius!
My favourite of their albums, love the sparse sound of the drum machine.
You gotta love this group the vocals are fucking awesome! classic shit!
One of the most underrated bands. Great live.
This is the bomb!!!!. :-). .You get the B52's or not......They are fantastic........I have this album in many formats...Seen them a few times a few places around the world......BRILLIANT....
The whole impulse behind this sort of thing has vanished from the face of the earth. I'm going to bring it back!
i don't care how bad a day you've had. throw on some b52's and magically you are in a great mood and you want to party lol no other band has that quality!
good luck, we're screwed by young generations of entitled retards who wouldn't know a good song if it bite them in the ass...
I get that, but this millennial generation really is messed up. You tell me, what is the original, innovative sound in music today? I can name dozens great bands from the 70s, 80s and 90s.
Thee Oh Sees have the same spirit.

I was 4 when this album came and I discovered it like just 5 years ago, listening like crazy now, it is a great fun album!
Always loved this record ... but OMG what happened at 10:26? Also, Fred is from NJ and we saw him on the train to NYC one afternoon - that was awesome.
Nothing wrong at 10:26 now.
@@pentlx you're scared of 10:26 now aren't you?!
OH shit! I forgot about this one, and had it on vinyl! Thanks for posting. Saw them in Nashville promoting this album. Whoot Whammy!
I so love you B-52s! !!!
Legacy...add it to your collection. Kind of obscure in a sea of what people want ...but it's B's...pure honey. No confirmation needed!
Wow, hard to belive only 24 views. Great album, great band, great times.
You said it sister all hail B-52s
amazing cd
Their two first albums were the best...truly musical jewels...but I like this record too.
great work, such fun and stimulation.
A superb one-of-a-kind performance by a one-of-a-kind band. The only one in that picture who is from our planet Earth is the dog, and I'm not even sure of that!
Still one of the best after all these years.
esta musica me lleva a mis hermosos años 80 que bueno es esto
I LIKE CHIHUAHUAS AND CHINESE NOODLES

I don't get it... How is this FULL album allowed to be posted for all to hear and steal for free, but when I share a cover of a song that sounds so close to the original they think its original, it gets flagged.
Just plain fun. Great pop rock n roll.
I like song for a future generation a lot. The whole album is awesome to be honest.
brilliant guitar/ensemble playing
is that cocaine on the floor of the cover album? this band rocks truly out of bounds!!!!
It's a rug! You silly butterbean!
And the dog is sniffing it.

I have to say, as someone who was young in 1983, the B-52s "gimmick" had worn off after the first 2. Its not to say they went a great band.
i was in pre school when this album came out and i love the b52's how can anyone not?...they are the most fun musical group of all time!
爱 B 52's
if you can find it- listen to "Don't Worry" the sweetest MIA B52's song ever, and to quote George Harrison, "Fuck off Yoko"

I like the Beatle's and the Rolling Stone's, but my favorite is Elvi's Presley.
They're implying that the band is possessed by bouffant hairdos.
Jibwaddle Hosafat I actually did some research, and in 2008, they removed the apostrophe from the official band name. After so long, why?
They stopped wearing wigs?
No, but they're non-posessive. They've exorcised (not at a gym) their mistake.
Internet
This is definitely their worst album overall, with a few worthwhile songs.
Realy not my fav !!!
I love the b52's first 3 albums....but I could do without Fred's vocals 100%.
Butch Tafem bollacks
La version en vivo de Moon 83 que tocaron en Rock in Rio es tremenda. The live version of Moon 83 they played in Rock in Rio is awesome
