I think if we ever have to have a spokesperson for the human race to talk to aliens LYLES the guy. Because it already sounds like he talks fluent alien
I could’ve watched them break down EVERY scene 😂 love Napoleon Dynamite I watched that movie everyday one summer when it was newer lol still watch it from time to time and it’s so underrated
This should be shown in schools before people enter the world as a lesson that nothing behind the scenes looks like it should. Nothing goes according to plan and to be great you have to constantly be adapting and have a can do attitude. That is getting more and more rare these days! Love this video.
I'm from California and live in Idaho now. I love how the movie depicts the beautiful mountains and farm fields so accurately. Also the sound of the evening crickets before it rains.
I'd never heard of this movie. Shortly after it's release I saw it on TV and started to watch it. I thought it was a documentary some HS student did. It's oneof my favorite movies. It's a classic.
I held family members hostage one Christmas & forced them to watch this movie. It was so good they forgave me, never came back for Christmas again but still. 😂
I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I served as a missionary in Idaho in the early 80s. Being from the eastern US, it was a very different culture from what I knew. There was so much inside humor in that movie that I thought was just hilarious. I knew old farmers just like Lyle, so it was really fun for me to see his character.
Crazy. I'm from Belfast in Northern Ireland and we used to have missionaries over for dinner all the time. Mainly Utah and Idaho, but I got to experience a lot of different cultures and mentalities early on. I'm pretty far removed from rural Americana so my past conversations with missionaries was the main way I could relate to a lot of the humour by the time I saw the movie. So thanks, I guess 😂 I probably wouldn't have been able to enjoy the film if it wasn't for people like yourself 😊
I went to Preston to see all kf the filming locations in summer 2016. Everyone living in the houses wa sso nice, a football coach vame by when we took pics of the school and ket us in to walk around and tour by ourselves and see the theater and everything. That town was so nice and precious
I was going to say I can't possibly be the only person who understood that but then again I have family from Central Florida and West Virginia so I speak that language❤😂
Thank you for this!😂 I knew about some of the back stories, but I didn’t know “Lyle” was just talking unscripted, or trying to find a cow and calling a RANDOM phone number 🤣THAT so quirky it could have been in the movie!😂✌️
I'm to the point in my life where i want a directors commentary to every movie i watch. I think film is much more appreciable when I know the back stories to everything! :)
It was like 2007 never exposed myself to media and only played videos and watched little kid shows cuz I was a mom and I’ll never forget not knowing anything about that movie and turning on the tv late at night and completely baffled at how hilarious this movie is!! It was a surprise I’ll never forget
I would loved to have worked on this movie. I gladly would’ve cleaned Porta potties. Everyone seem like they were having a genuine good time making a piece of art and not taking themselves too serious. One of my favorite movies of all time.
Dude is also lying about nearly everything in the steak scene, so yeah he's just riding off the fame makin crap up. ruclips.net/video/Fe6_y5KIvgc/видео.html
I think they explained that the original dance was choreographed and was supposed to end on a choreographed move of him rolling forward and pointing but when he did they didn’t get it on film and so yelled at him to keep going and that’s where I think he probably improvised on the spot, which made it even funnier that him awkwardly running off at the end wasn’t even a part of the script 😂
Chances are it was likely a bit of both. They probably laid out some choreography beforehand just so he would have something to go off of, but when the music hits, you just gotta move the way the music makes you feel.
I was going to say that I could just see the farmer being like “ok, here she is! That’s our baby cow” knowing she’s going to be around a bunch of kid actors (not necessarily) and others, and then watching them “shooting”your bottle fed FFA prize cow: 😂 But they’re farmers, they’ll get it.
The cast agreed that if Jared Hess isn't directing it, they weren't onboard to do a sequel. Plus it worked incredibly well the first time and why spoil it.
First time I watched Napoleon I thought it was just one of the dumbest movies I ever saw. Then, teens I was teaching guitar to started reciting some of the lines of the movie and it was cracking me up. The teens 'got' the humor when I didn't understand. I watched it again and again and suddenly I thought the film to be hilarious. Now, it's a cult classic....Too freakin' funny!!!
The bus passing by the execution. My true story. We were going to do a pig roast, and went to stock yard to buy one. We were in a pickup, we couldn't shoot the pig at the university pen. We live loaded it, drove down the road aways, and shot it. We get back in the truck, and it's squirting blood and doing the death jiggles. As we're driving through rown, we stop at a red light. What pulls up next to us, but a bus load of special needs kids. They're looking at the pig, because it's having spasms and kicking the truck box and making noise. Then keep watching, mind you. We can't go anywhere because the light was red. We just bunkered down and hid our faces, laughing nervously. Light changes and we got out of there. Sure tasted good later on.
I think i know why john gagged when he swallowed the drink. There was eggs mixed in ,then took a bite of the boiled egg.Thas two generations of chicken ...yikes.
For some reason is just aggravated me when the host said “that reminds me of something that would happen on this show”…nothing fun would ever happen on this “show” stop thinking so highly of yourself and you 1k subscriber “show”
I'm not crazy the guy Pedro Sanchez dies in a high speed car accident in like AFTER LIKE 2007 TO 2010 or something around. Efren ramerez died in a car accident after this movie. Does anyone else remember this it was a high speed car accident with like an all black sports car. IM NOT CRAZY BUT I SWEAR THIS HAPPENED.
knowing how hodge-podge and chaotic the entire production process was makes the movie so much funnier.
And it came out brilliant
As is with the best films... Another example, Caddyshack
Can't believe Lyle's iconic line was just the actor talking casually. That is amazing!
I think if we ever have to have a spokesperson for the human race to talk to aliens LYLES the guy. Because it already sounds like he talks fluent alien
“Your mom goes to college” might be the greatest line ever in any movie.
YES! My wife, my son, and I all agree! We say it all the time!😂
Hell yeah!! It was so random lol
I say it all the time. Any time I hear someone mention going to a place, I will always take the chance to respond with "Your mom goes to X"
I haven't seen many comedies as many times as I've seen Napoleon dynamite. Absolute masterpiece
I love how the actor who played Uncle Rico had a "put me in the game coach" moment for the steak throwing scene. So ironic.
I could’ve watched them break down EVERY scene 😂 love Napoleon Dynamite
I watched that movie everyday one summer when it was newer lol still watch it from time to time and it’s so underrated
I was thinking the same thing! I had a smile on my face the whole time lmao
@@31teeth97 me too! Lol
Brb gonna go watch it 🫡🤣🤣🤣
@@trueblue2892 I’ve watched it twice since this comment 😂 a cult classic!

That cow part really brought this video together xX
@3:59 Over there, in the creek bed, I found a couple of Shoshone arrowheads.
One of my favorite deliveries of all time. GENIUS casting with that chicken-farmin' motherfucker!! 👍
I was going to say I can't possibly be the only person who understood that but then again I have family from Central Florida and West Virginia so I speak that language❤😂
Omgosh this was awesome to hear the behind the scenes stories. Just makes the scene do much more enjoyable
I remember my brother coming to visit me from Colorado and we had a movie night and watched Nacho Libre and Napoleon Dynamite back to back.
Freaking amazing. Napoleon Dynamite should have won an Oscar or, in the least, been nominated.
Too good for Oscars.
Thank you for this!😂 I knew about some of the back stories, but I didn’t know “Lyle” was just talking unscripted, or trying to find a cow and calling a RANDOM phone number 🤣THAT so quirky it could have been in the movie!😂✌️
No wonder why this movie was so good. Lots of improv and just going with the natural talents of the cast!!!
I love the ending, the sweet ending of the two enjoying tether ball. ❤.
YES!
This movie is a masterpiece. Its even better knowing alot of the scenes were just real life awkward moments lol
This movie is amazing ❤
Best low beat movie EVER.
I totally forgot this was shot near me until he said the rumours about Brad and George at the tasty freeze 😂😂😂😂
This was awesome. I cracked up the entire video. Knowing behind the scenes info makes it so much funnier!
I'm to the point in my life where i want a directors commentary to every movie i watch. I think film is much more appreciable when I know the back stories to everything! :)
Top 10 movies on my list.
This is amazing, found you on tiktok, followed and subscribed, I hope more people catch on to your show
Aw thank you so much!! ❤️❤️
This movie is genius

Here from the short-
Fantastic label, fantastic interview.
Made $46 mil at the box office, and only had a budget of $400k
I would loved to have worked on this movie. I gladly would’ve cleaned Porta potties. Everyone seem like they were having a genuine good time making a piece of art and not taking themselves too serious. One of my favorite movies of all time.
Holy... I had to go back and watch the cow scene after hearing that it was trying to lick the gun... Thats hilarious
Lol I just watched something with Jon saying that dance was NOT choreographed and that it was just him making it up as he went 😹
Dude is also lying about nearly everything in the steak scene, so yeah he's just riding off the fame makin crap up.

So, then who is telling the truth?
Is Jon lying or is the director a liar?

Excellent show, I hope this blows up!
Aw you are awesome!!
This guy reminds me of Louis CK. Props to the host for letting him talk and not interupting.
all time favorite movie , found a clip from this vid on tiktok. new sub 🤙🏻
😍
I was going to say that I could just see the farmer being like “ok, here she is! That’s our baby cow” knowing she’s going to be around a bunch of kid actors (not necessarily) and others, and then watching them “shooting”your bottle fed FFA prize cow: 😂
But they’re farmers, they’ll get it.
If this movie is on, I'm watching it - again!!!
I think I exchanged messages with Sean about a film-maker a long time ago. He was dating a high school friend of my ex-wife. Very nice fella!
3:55 that is AMAZING. That's one of my favorite parts and it's not even acting 😂
This is how all movies should be filmed.
Awesome.
This guy also played one of the "bodyguards" in the beginning of TAKEN.
Which guy played a bodyguard in Taken?
That is amazing
How the hell is there only ONE Napoleon Dynamite movie?
The cast agreed that if Jared Hess isn't directing it, they weren't onboard to do a sequel. Plus it worked incredibly well the first time and why spoil it.
Because not every fuckin movie needs a sequel
Because it's not needed. It's already a masterpiece.
They made an animated show that was just awful. I think they should just let this movie sit, it’s already perfect
Uncle Rico actor is a vegetarian. If you look close you'll see him spit his mouthful of beef into his hand and toss it aside
Am I wrong or did Uncle Rico play a homeless guy on Seinfeld... Maybe the rickshaw episode?
Behind the scenes?
How come theres only enough film for 2/3 takes....🤔
Napoleon Dynamite feels like PG Gummo
I want a movie about the movie being made. 😂
We need Napoleon Dynamite II. Napoleon finding his perfect career mode. AInt happening.
First time I watched Napoleon I thought it was just one of the dumbest movies I ever saw.
Then, teens I was teaching guitar to started reciting some of the lines of the movie and it was cracking me up.

Use various words other than iconic

Feel so bad that someone who created "Napoleon Dynamite" has to end up on a thing like this.
Jones Timothy Martin Edward Young Barbara
I think i know why john gagged when he swallowed the drink. There was eggs mixed in ,then took a bite of the boiled egg.Thas two generations of chicken ...yikes.

😅
Kamala askin y’all for money every clip. 😂😂😂😂 uhhhh, hell no.

a whole 3 tapes?... no they obviously had a budget. FRAUD.

This is complete BS
