When your dad said he imagines people standing, smoking, and vibing at a Travis concert, I felt that. I used to do just that in my room when I first listened to Rodeo because I had never heard something so catchy and psychedelic. And then I went to a show and the energy of Travis and the rage of the crowd completely changed my perspective on the album. And I think that’s what makes Rodeo so special for me. It’s an insanely creative project.
You bet! Kevin’s bound to have the trip of his life with TI production style. He will surely be begging for jam session with the other Kevin at the end of the reaction. 😂
I was a sophomore in high school when this album came out and this and beauty behind the madness were ALL I listened to. This album still hits to this day.
I like it how your dad is so open-minded to new music and new forms of art, especially hip-hop culture. It's not that often when adults are eager to hear something new and not criticize it or say that it's stupid, primitive or just provoking. Family reactions are a wonderful opportunity to get close with your folks who have been indifferent to your hobbies, interests or just music trends. Keep it up! Thanks for your content!

@@ObiWon1089 not necessarily drugs. I had the same experience listening to DBR sober and rodeo on drugs and both had the same feel as far atmosphere. Also new music is way better than old boom bap shit, its all opinion but Nas Rza tupac all of that type of music is just boring and bland to me.

You should react to The Weeknd's first mixtape House Of Balloons. The production on that record is insane. After that you should do his two other mixtapes (all three got re-released as Trilogy) and his album Kiss Land. Don't know if you're already familiar but you will not be disappointed.

The joy in this mans eyes as he’s introduced to new music is priceless. Like his genuine reaction is great and the fact that he’s so open with new sounds and types of music is great. 10 out of 10 content. Thanks guys love you both
I felt the same way as him listening to nightcrawler, it used to sound like a chill psychedelic song to me but it’s also a crazy rage song. It’s insane how the perspective on this album is left up to perception
it makes feel like In a dark road very gotham-esque from Batman and i need to always watch out for any danger while some crackheads on the street doing whatever
I’d think he’d really like Astroworld, think Rodeo is more experimental, but songs like Stop Trying to be God, Astrothunder and Skeletons I’d he’d be super into
The Patreon unedited version was, not only Kevin’s, but my first entry on Travis’ music. With that said, I could relate to him 100% with of his reactions, as if I was listening to the album together with you two in your room. Truly was one of my best first listens! Not only ‘cause of the near perfection of Travis’ music, but also due to the fun time you two gave me. Thank you a lot, Connor and Kevin for the humorous and well commented reactions! I always have the time of my life while watching you interacting while listening to the best of what music has to offer! You Have got to listen to astroworld, especially if you’re into the more banger-y tracks. I’d argue it’s even better than rodeo, and has a lot of the best trap music of all time. Then again, I’m CERTAIN Connor and Kevin will check it out at some point
Kevin Said that he won’t be rating albums (maybe that was just on patreon and cut out here on yt, idk, I didn’t watch this edited version). So I don’t think he’ll be ranking them either :))
I agree. He made the beat for this song and was gonna put it on Yeezus II, but he traded the beat for this (at the time known as Grave) with Travis for FML.
@@noochienoo7896 What’s fucking impressive as well is that, aside from his ape-shit performance 😂 it begins with a bloody Jimi Hendrix sample! The song already had won me over there, even if it didn’t feature him, but no, they went way fucking above and beyond!
Any Trav album is perfect for your dad who loves the drums. Trav's dad was a drummer and he is a drummer as well, and has said the most important aspect of his music is the drums
To this day I think 90210 is my favorite Trav track. Listening to it for the first time was a truly magical experience. That and "Drugs You Should Try It" solidified Trav as one of the all time greats to me. I'm not as big a fan of his later stuff but it's still awesome. Hope the 20s can bring along another artist as trailblazing as him.
I wouldn't go as far and say lyrics aren't the forefront of the album, after all it's a rap album. But I get it, it's an album made by a young adult and listeners connect to it more on the vibes and energy rather than the lyrics. Great Video!
Lyrics definitely aren’t the forefront of the album though. The entire album’s main purpose is to deliver a psychedelic druggy atmosphere, some of the songs have good lyrical content for sure but Travis is known for bringing the crazy production on his tracks
Hey, love the channel. I have a quick note: Even though your material conditions, behaviors and opinions may differ from those in the lyrics you can still relate to the emotional core/mood of the song. "3500" is arrogant, boastful and bellicose. I have been all of those things, we all have. "Oh My Dis Side" is nostalgic about a place that it feels proud for having left behind. Songs can be a way of connecting with that specific feeling. One thing Rappers are really good at is embodying an emotion so starkly that it becomes a sort of character portrait, one that we are supposed to study and learn from, not emulate. Nightcrawler is a really good example of this. "Order more kidneys" Hopefuly I caught you in time to read this. Again love the channel. To close out I'll leave a quote from the Roman poet Terence. "I am human, and I think nothing human is alien to me"
Your pops is a very intelligent and open minded man. I often find that a lot of older individuals find it difficult to accept and seek to understand newer and different ideas than what they are used to ESPECIALLY when it comes to hip hop. Props, KEEP IT UP!
I love how your Dad breaks down tracks. From To Pimp a Butterfly to In Rainbows, he says the most astute observations about my favourite songs and it’s a dope thing to see someone discover some of my favourite albums for the first time. Keep up with the great content!
I love your videos! There are so many hip-hop albums I’ve wanted to listen to since recently getting immersed in the genre, and seeing your videos has given me a perfect excuse to listen to them so I can see what you think. Best reaction channel by far!
Since he likes the production on this you should really do the Trilogy mixtapes by The Weeknd. The production on them is actually insane when you listen like the way you did to this album. No lyrics, eyes closed, perfect album for that.
id say they should do after hours first so he gets an idea of who the weeknd is first and so he can enjoy trilogy more. or vise versa it rlly depends on the person
Keep up the grind and you’ll get to a mill by the end of next year. You guys are big time. Most cohesive and watchable review channel I’ve ever seen in my thousands of hours of youtube
“I don’t come to this track to feel comfortable” is one of the most profoundly accurate statements I’ve heard about a song on Rodeo. Well fucking said.
I’m late af watching this video but I have so much respect and appreciation for your dad. 1) being a white dad that’s open to listening to a rapper that receives so much controversy and then 2) actually fucking with it and appreciating Travi and this album. The quality of music shouldn't be discredited because of how it's being produced. I totally think that a naturally beautiful voice is more admirable, but this music is fucking awesome lol
Impossible is one of my favorite Trav songs.. it’s so dreamy and definitely underrated in his discography

You should react to The Weeknd's first mixtape House Of Balloons. The production on that record is insane. After that you should do his two other mixtapes (all three got re-released as Trilogy) and his album Kiss Land. Don't know if you're already familiar but you will not be disappointed.
But please don't pick the Trilogy versions, they're downgrades compared to the raw sound of the mixtapes.
I agree they should react to a Weeknd album for sure
@@xXEliminatorXx99 Agreed, especially House Of Balloons with the missing samples.
@@xXEliminatorXx99 nah I think the production on trilogy is better
Agreed 100%
So excited for the college dropout, got a feeling he’ll really like it. Waiting for the day he’s ready for yeezus though, that’s gonna be a big day.
that will make history
Yeezus is insane I think he gonna love it tho. He just so open to everything it’s dope
@@elicustoms I think hold my liquor may make him collapse
You have to have a developed music taste to enjoy and understand Yeezus, I think his Dad has that
Listening along with you guys has truly made me realize how this is my favourite album ever. This was like listening to it for the first time again, thank you. Travis scott is absolutely amazing. This a great video!
His reaction to 90210 was perfect!
ANDERSON .PAAK IS GOING TO BE SUCH A PERFECT MUSICAL FIT FOR HIS TASTE. Wow, I'm ready for that one!
yeah he'll fucking love Malibu
Rodeo is one of my favorite albums of all time and u take the W for this !!
Really this is one of your favorite albums? I would've never guessed it.
Lots of love for both of the Scotts here.
P.S. you’ll never guess my favorite album
I can already see the 1 mil beside y’all’s name , just a matter of time , beautiful reaction to 90210 what a classic , love how in tune your dad is with the ins and outs 🤎
90210 is such a masterpiece. love all the travis fans here and love this video, enjoy this album as long as possible. sadly we all can’t hear this for the first time 🤎
man there's just something about the setup with the record itself in the front, it just feels way more down to earth, love this channel man, cant wait to see a reaction for that charli record in the back
Such an awesome channel. I actually love it. Hearing an “outsider” give albums like this love is really cool. Too often older generations don’t like “new” music because it’s different than what they grew up with. It’s obvious your dad has an open mind & soul. It is a cool thing to watch.
Rodeo is one of the most classic albums we will ever hear in our lifetime
There was so much thought and energy and love put into the production of this album. It’s insane.

So true for me its a crazy rage song

I’d think he’d really like Astroworld, think Rodeo is more experimental, but songs like Stop Trying to be God, Astrothunder and Skeletons I’d he’d be super into
I already know he’d be in a different dimension when the beat drops on Skeletons

I’m glad I’m going through this musical journey with the both of you as well as I’m glad I’m able to follow the channel’s growth. And you can count on me to be here keep on helping you achieve all your deserved recognition. Already hyped for the upcoming reactions!
You Have got to listen to astroworld, especially if you’re into the more banger-y tracks. I’d argue it’s even better than rodeo, and has a lot of the best trap music of all time. Then again, I’m CERTAIN Connor and Kevin will check it out at some point
@@ezrahaskard3527 That’s an opinion everyone of his fans seem to share. Thank you anyway, but I can wait. 😁
90210 is just an amazing track. Definitely my personal favourite Travis song of all time.
28:16 he just knows his dad's gonna love the second half
At the end of the year you should get your dad to rank all of the albums he’s listened to in a year-end list
^^^
for sure
he enjoyed TPAB a lot.
This a good idea fr
Kevin Said that he won’t be rating albums (maybe that was just on patreon and cut out here on yt, idk, I didn’t watch this edited version). So I don’t think he’ll be ranking them either :))
In my opinion, “Piss On Your Grave” hands down features one of the best Kanye West vocal performances of his life. He’s just W I L D in it!
No matter what you think of Travis Scott now, this is still and near perfect album.
Any Trav album is perfect for your dad who loves the drums. Trav's dad was a drummer and he is a drummer as well, and has said the most important aspect of his music is the drums
Not gonna lie I had the biggest smile during 90210 - seeing him love it as much as I love it is so wholesome. Thank you for this guys keep it up
To this day I think 90210 is my favorite Trav track.
Great Video!
yeah i don’t think i expressed my thought properly. u just nailed it
Lyrics definitely aren’t the forefront of the album though. The entire album’s main purpose is to deliver a psychedelic druggy atmosphere, some of the songs have good lyrical content for sure but Travis is known for bringing the crazy production on his tracks
This isn’t really a “rap” album. He is everything except a rapper actually.
@@gabeg4876 saying Travis isn’t a rapper is a stretch and just untrue. He definitely is a rapper and can rap his ass off when he wants

Why can’t all payed promotions be as funny and entertaining as this??😭 I’m glad you guys are finally getting some revenue out of this, you deserve it!
"Order more kidneys"
Hopefuly I caught you in time to read this. Again love the channel. To close out I'll leave a quote from the Roman poet Terence. "I am human, and I think nothing human is alien to me"
very well said 📌
great comment
Woooooow an analysis with such scholarly depth, look at you go.
I love that quote man
Man I love Travis’s work. It takes me somewhere else.
Your pops is a very intelligent and open minded man. I often find that a lot of older individuals find it difficult to accept and seek to understand newer and different ideas than what they are used to ESPECIALLY when it comes to hip hop. Props, KEEP IT UP!
Yeezus, House of Balloons, and The Life of Pablo would be amazing to see reactions to but I totally trust your timing. Keep up the awesome work!

Best Reaction Channel. Hands down.
The Weeknd and Travis Scott is one of the best combos ever. Would love to see you react to one of his projects.
They really are, They have the same vibe, both were popular underground artists then both became super known for just having good ass music
I know Dad said he wanted to hear After Hours, but I’d also love to see the reaction to House of Balloons
the way they both readjust themselves at their seats at 1:03:53 is so satisfying
Apple pie is such an insane closer. Feels like the credits to a movie. Absolutely love that track. It’s the track that really sold me on trav
TI’s narration bookending the “concept” of the album is the cherry on top, really.
