Finally I have found someone who is using the same Scan n Cut as me, and who is brilliant at explaining all the tips and tricks. Thank You so much Deb. I will be watching all your videos from now on.
Hi Kimberly thanks yet again for such a great video. Everything is so well explained. Just love love love your videos and they give me the confidence to use my machine. Time well spent watching them. TFS from Sydney Australia xo
Well deserved Kimberly! The recipients will be thrilled with their birthday cards! Thank you for sharing, I will watch again but I was moving around while playing the video and need to focus, heehee. Have a great day and thank you for all that you do! June
Thank you so much for this lesson. Especially love your numbers cut from turtle paper! So glad you showed how you did that. Have never used the background scanning feature. Congrats on your number of subscribers!
Congratulations! I am new to your channel, group, and a couple of your classes. Just received my SDX125 yesterday. Thank you for being a great teacher!
That was a great tutorial, congratulations on reaching 30,000 subscribers which really it’s not surprising as you’re a fantastic teacher!! Merry Christmas to you and your family xx
Hi Kim, sorry I haven't got to order from you. I had to go in the Hospital right before Thanksgiving. We thought I had a blood clot. I'm home now. Still not feeling well.
Thank you! You are the best! I have a hard time with glitter papers in the scan N cut, they mush up and don’t cut correctly. Any tips for cutting glitter paper with sticky backing? Mine rip even on the first cut. I have slowed down the speed and decreased the cut depth and that helped a little. Ideas?
Susie, when paper is really thick like that, I just stick it to the mat with rolling adhesive. It is the only way I could get it to stick. Then, I have to try to get the strong adhesive off of my mat but that is another story. Glitter paper works better on the CM Models (in my opinion). I have a Deep Cut Blade for my CM350 which works like a charm.
Hello Papered Chef, I watch your videos and you are very thorough with them. I wanted to know if you can show how to trace an image of ourselves or someone else, then scan it in and cut it out with the Brother Scan n Cut? I would really appreciate it. There is a lady by the name of Julie Fei-Fan Balzer that does a self-portrait on her Brother Scan n Cut, but she is not thorough on the process. She shows tracing her portrait and the end product but that's it. Thank you.
That is what I was thinking. I will compare the features of both in an upcoming tutorial. I get mixed up as to what I do with the machine itself and what I do with the Canvas Workspace software. Thanks Deborah.
Congratulations on reaching 30k. I know you’re more than that now. I just got my Scan and Cut125 e yesterday and I’m new to your channel. I love your videos and I’ve learned A LOT just by watching them in the last few days. QUESTION- I followed this video but when I got to the offset button to increase the size for the shadow on my 30- it duplicated it😬. I tried it many times and ended up having to trash the extras and then cut the .08. Any idea what I’m doing wrong? THANKS JUD
Thanks Judy. Welcome aboard! Thanks for subscribing. When you use the offset, you always get a duplicate. Just drag the original away and delete it so that you don't get a "frame" and instead you get an offset shape.
I have a design I’m trying to cut for Valentines cards. The design disappears when it comes to print. The only thing left is the outline. Why does this happen ?

I did a off set on my mom's 76 birthday card last year. So it can be done on a CM 350.
That is what I was thinking. I will compare the features of both in an upcoming tutorial. I get mixed up as to what I do with the machine itself and what I do with the Canvas Workspace software. Thanks Deborah.
I have an old machine, a CM 350. Can you do an offset tutorial using the old model?

Thanks soooo much for your quick reply. Now I know there’s nothing wrong with me or my new machine😂😂

I’m having the same problem, except it cut the outline but won’t cut the original. Gah!!
