- Опубликовано: 6 авг 2024
- In this special lesson we bring focus to ALL the limitations on the Airbus A320 aircraft. We focus on this limitations value themselves but more importantly on the understanding of WHY these limitations exist. This is a crucial part of any Airbus type.
This channel shares professional aviation knowledge from the MindSpaceX Aviation e-learning platform. MindSpaceX Aviation is the aviation branch of MindSpaceX which delivers learning content to professional pilots around the world. MindSpaceX Aviation focus on EASA compliant ATPL theory as well as type specific theory for common type ratings. We have hundreds of videos available together with extensive question banks for exam preparation and free downloadable multimedia such as posters, guides etc.
You can access the full lessons through our eLearning platfrom at academy.mindspacex.com.

I had the pleasure to be taught by Captain Carston few years ago. He is a very knowledgeable and amazing person. Wish you the best of health and success.
Congratulations, spectacular class!!!!!!!!!!!!
Many thanks! The full A320 theory course is available on my learning platform; aviation.mindspacex.com for a small monthly fee. It is free to try and the trial have NO restrictions. Please visit and you'll find all the details.
The content shared here on the channel are previews from the course material and live classes. I will continue to share content, and soon will be launching the ATPL(A) theory here on the channel. Stay tuned!
Excellent video capt! I wish you all the best! The minimum differential pressure is -1, not 1 psi.
I’m very new for Airbus.. even thought I flew the 767/757 for more than 10 thousands. The way you explained it is so clear and very easy to understand, pls keep posting. Thank you so much. 🙏
Excellent video! Congrats for the clear English, excellent knowledge. Very didactic and crystal clear! Thanks
Thank you for all your videos. Always clear and straight to the point.
Slow and detailed explanation makes me remember well. Very great Captain👍
More easier than reading. Thanks for the effort.
Our pleasure. Happy to hear the content is well received. You can check out the full A320 course on www.theatpacademy.com
Very well done video
Thank you captain
Thanks capt.
Thanks for the detailed explanation. Easy to remember
Most welcome! Great to know my content is well received. Make sure to subscribe as there is new previews coming online weekly. And the full content can be found on www.theATPacademy.com and www.MindSpaceX.com
Everyone praises the A320. Great to see a presentation that talks about it's limitations 👍👍
Great work Capt!
Thanks a lot!
Very good review, thank you Captain! Continue please, you are a great teacher

Excellent job Captain 👏
Appreciate the feedback. Thank you Capt.
Great video and thanks for the effort , i fly both aircraft with tail wind 15kts , and 10 kts and some minor differences are there

Thank you Captain 🫡
Appreciate the feedback. Don't forget to check the Academy where you'll find the full theoretical A320 type rating course. We offer both complete TR and Refresher. www.MindspaceX.com/Aviation
Some models have a tail wind for TO of 10 kts
This is absolutely correct. That is why I in the beginning of the presentation state that pilots must always refer to the respective manuals for the model they fly.
Tailwind limitations are tied to the wingtip modifications on the aircraft. So Sharklets etc. gives different values.
captain, 8min 29secs the maximum tailwind for T/O is wrongly displayed
Is mach number required to know with landing gear operation speed?
Hi Sir,
As mentioned in the video, the limitations are given for one specific A320 model. It is not to be applied across the fleet in general. When it comes to tailwind limitations specifically, then it’s determined by the wingtip modifications such as Sharklets etc.
No we refer to IAS when talking VLE and VLO.
Amazing job Captain
Just small correction !
The maximum negative differential is -1.0 PSI
Hi Andre, You are right. In our explanation we assumed this was clear but we can see it wasn't. We appreciate the feedback and will make an annotation to emphasis this for future viewers. Thank you again

Hey 👋 Captain
Thanks for the reply
Cheers
GBAS =Ground based augmentation system kindly correct.
Suprême ear. You are right. GBAS = Ground Based Augmentation System. We will make the correction on the video ASAP. Thank you for taking the time to let us know
A319 to 21 can perform a 180 turn on a 30m rwy... Not 45m only
That is correct. The 45m minimum refers to the minimum nominal width required for the aircraft.
Based on ICAO Annex 14 and FAA specifications the minimum runway widths recommended for the various Airbus aircraft are:
30m for the A320 family MTOW 68T
We therefore refer to 45m in the presentation because we assume a MTOW of 77T.
The nominal width required is based on the aircraft during flight testing having demonstrated sufficient safety margin in crosswind conditions and directional control after various failures.
It is not the reason BUT it does ensure the aircraft can make a 180-degree turn on the runway :)
Thanks guys for quick answers
A lot of figures but author didn’t notice what should pilots to memorise 🤬
HI,
We focus here on pilots understanding the limitations rather than merely memorising values. It is a very important aspect of a pilots education and therefore something we at MindSpaceX Aviation emphasise on. The presentation here is meant to be somewhat generic to the A320, so some values are given, but not all. Bottom line is that ALL limitations should be known and understood by the pilot. Your FCOM will always be the place to refer for your specific aircraft model.
