Beş Yıl Önce On Yıl Sonra - Halay (Eurovision, Turkey 1984)

EUROVISION SPECIAL! This evening it's Eurovision Song Contest here in Sweden (Malmö) and I take the opportunity to share some rare and more forgotten Eurovision related tracks from the 70's and 80's.
One of my favorite Eurovision entries ever - Turkey 1984. This vocal quartet was quite popular in Turkey back then, but their Eurovision entry don't appear on any of their albums from that time. A promo single was released for the contest, but not with the version performed in the grand final in Luxembourg. Here's the studio recording of this song in the Eurovision-version, taken from a cassette which affect the sound quality a bit.
Turkey finished twelfth in the final, which was their best ever result at the time.

This is one of my favourites from 1984. I prefer the ESC version over the other one.

Could you please upload more Eurovision songs from the 70s, 80s and 90s? There are so many eurovision songs from that period (especially the 80s!) that are hard to find in good quality on the internet!

all of the 80s turkish entries had atleast a change or two between the Selection and ESC, so this is a fun listen.
