I wish I had found out about the rotary carb bushing before cleaning the carburettor. The tiny bushing obviously went ''walk-about'' never to be seen again.
I have spent so long looking on the internet looking for either a replacement/or one included in a gasket kit, I now have square eyes and calluses on my arse.
Finding a stockist of this part has proved fruitless in Ireland. Looks like I shall end up having to buy a new carburettor . . . .all for the sake of a tiny bushing. Bugger!
And what about carbs that only have a number three on them. No primer bulb. Off a McCulloch blower.

What is the black tube between the hi& low screws
If you are still wondering one year later, I believe you are looking at the mixture stop. The original mixture screws had limiter caps and could only be turned until the tab on each cap hit the stop. Often times the limiters are removed.
Complicated. Maybe it's best to buy a new carb.
