Ahh. One of my favorite archetypes, Predaplants. An archetype that got me in love with one specific fusion spell, Ultra Polymerzation. I am gonna be playing this again if I can get a royal finish Ultra Polymerzation. A very unique card and archetype.
This made me dust off the Predaplant Deck I made back in highschool. Perhaps I should buy some new cards for it just to say I did and that I can have it on me if I ever want to start playing the TCG again. No matter how much time passes, I always finally myself going back to archetypes of the Yu-boys from Arc V, be it Speedroid, Phantom Knights, or Odd-Eyes. Some guilty pleasures truly die hard, and I would not have it any other way.
As a Dogmatika player that first duel hurt. Even I know Mudragon prevents targeting monsters of the same attribute, so TTThrusting into Ultimate Slayer was just asking for trouble. TTThrusting into Nadir would've at least either baited the Predapower Fusion Dragon or let him add any 1500+ attack Dogmatika and Draw 1. WHOLE course of the duel could've changed if he just READ
When I first started master duel I wanted to try predaplant but didn't do it until recently because I was not the biggest fan of the anime. It has become, like, my second favorite deck now. I was wondering how you felt about the frightfur additions and why you went with them instead of more hand traps and board breakers? Does it help with consistency? Also the extra deck, is Verte good? I tried running with it, but found that I never really summoned it that often if at all. Genuinely want to learn more about the deck, and its even got me wanting to make ZARC and the XYZ deck.
@@MoonCocoonDino The patchwork package is nice imo for these reasons: 1.You can easily make mudragon going first which is great because the decks suffers a lot against handtraps 2.You can abuse cards like guardian chimera as both disruption and handfix 3.Edge imp chain is great at chain link blocking and patchwork is great at baiting ash and interruptions 4.The deck lacks consistent ways to make fusions going second; you have 3 or so ways to fuse but they are hard once per turn so having more reliant ways of doing so especially in a handtrap format is ideal to be able to play You can test it and see for yourself if you like it or not and I prefer patchwork + breakers because it feels more consistent, reliable and better than being stuck with low and non always reliable handtraps About the breakers approach, I really prefer predaplant as a going second deck (although it is decent going first) because: 1. The deck has very little space for non- engine and all the predaplants need to interact with other predap name, so having a low amount of handtraps means that you are most likely to never see them and having tons of them means that you are most likely to brick on only one predap name 2. Your OTK potential is really high because greedy, starving, tryphio and chimeraflesia are all monsters that require way less setup than your going first options, making it easier to play through interruptions 3. You can abuse thrust searching predapractice which is huge as it is the most custom card of the deck 4. You can utilize better super poly, a card that you play as a 3 of 5. It feels more consistent because all of your non-engine (although not so high in quantity) is 100% reliable since you can always trade 1-1 interactions Verte is not needed and it's 100% a filler card that you should trade for Anima or linkuriboh
@@Ven3myYGO i was looking to build the deck irl but a single thrust costs 15€ and 1 tactics 5€. For the deck you need 3 of each so is there like a good substitute for them?
@@wixlee If you're gonna build it for fun then you can put 3 lonefire blossoms, 1 instant fusion, 1 predaprunning and 1 predaponics/predaplast and play full gas with no board breakers You can even include the pendulum starving monsters if you want
@wixlee but If you wanna play it kinda competitively, (I'm not really knowledgeable about tcg so take the non-engine with a grain of salt) Core: 1-2x Triantis 2-3x Edge Imp chain 3x Ophrys scorpio 1x Darlingtonia Cobra 2-3x Chlamydosundew 1x Sarraceniant 3x Byblisp 3x Bufolicula 1x Instant fusion 2x Polymerization 3x Predapractice 2-3x Patchwork 1x Ultra Polymerization 1x Foolish Burial 1x Predaprime fusion 3x Super Poly 1x Predaplanning That leaves 6 to 9+ slots of non engine to fit (I personally like to play over 40 because you NEVER wanna open darlingtonia cobra just like heroes hate opening with Vision Hero Increase) To fill the non-engine slots you can play: 3x Book of Eclipse (awesome card for this deck btw) 2 dark holes (if you can't afford raigeki and harpie's) 3 ash blossoms and 1 called by because the deck really hates any interruption

Are they good to pair with predaplant? Since predaplant only summon plant, sorry if i ask too many question😅
Imo predaplant feels okay as a going second deck and in a bad spot going first. Going second feels better to me because you can abuse more triple tactics thrust (giving you access to predapractice and breakers) and your otk options are way easier to make than your going first options (dragostapelia requiring at least one fusion monster and predapower requiring 2 means that you have to commit a lot) They are in fact really weak to interruption and that's why I use the patchwork engine, so I can abuse mudragon to dodge veiler and imperm as well as guardian chimera when going second I'm not really sure about the ragnaraika engine because I need to test it but it doesn't look too much appealing to me
@@vasilistatsios1760 branded predaplant is probably the best predaplant version You can use a small engine with aluber, albaz, tragedy, branded fusion, opening and lubelion to bridge into your predap engine Or you can really commit to the bit with the cards above + albion, mirrorjade and staysailor
