@brucewilliamsstudio4932 it’s costly to ship to Canada. We sell items ourselves and when I first started I was shocked at how much it cost to ship even small items like board butter to Canada. Not really their fault, more on the shipping companies for that.
I bought the 36in. Bow fence after watching this video. It's a full 1 inch in thickness and the standard fence-to-saw blade measurement pointer on my 2-year old DeWalt 7491 contractor saw will NOT move enough to adjust so this distance reads correctly. The screw slots of this pointer are about ¼ inches too short. If you cut the plastic area that separates the 2 screw slots, you could get one screw to tighten the pointer down. But to add a second screw you'll need to drill and tap for a new screw hole. If you do that, you could use this standard pointer as is. Naturally, most fence tape pointers aren't made for adjustment left or right more than ½ - ¾ inches. As for the Bow fence, it's very well made - no issues with it at all. Just passing along the pointer issue as an FYI.
I made detachable infeed & outfeed supports for my contractor saw. Adding this extended fence doubles the value of those. Just ordered a set. Thank you, Matt!
Infeed and outfeed support integrated into a fence accessory is one of those rare, brilliant ideas that SEEMS like it should be so obvious and has me asking, "why didn't I think of that?!"
Well since you dont need the fence....your simply paying for an out and infeed solution and seems to be limited to thinner stock. This is not something i would buy and seems more of a gimmick
Makes sense initially, but thats a lot of torque hanging on your fence mounts. I think I will avoid this because I don't want to risk messing up my rack and pinion fence.
Just got mine today. Had to get the 36 inch fence because the 46 was sold out. Huge improvement to my job site Dewalt saw. Bought the kit , everything worked great, from the feather boards to the plastic extensions, that really help out. Thanks for the recommendation.
Thanks for the video Matt. I just bought the 46” fence, push stick, in feed and out feed supports vertical and horizontal feather boards. You are right, it is a game changer for me and my SawStop jobsite saw.
Got my fence system about a week ago and finally checked it out. The Fence itself is very nice high quality and works with Bows feather boards. That being said not a fan of the one and only t slot on the face. Wish it was two T slots so the feather board does not twist on the one pivot point. And No this does not work with the Jessem Stock guides. Firstly Jessem Stock Guides use 1/4 20 t bolt and Bow uses 5/16. Thats not a big deal. Bow's T slot and bolts are very skinny and not standard T Bolts, which i can grind down others to make work. Only issue with Jessem Stock Guides not working is that the T slot on the fence is way to high. The T slot being so high really restricts you on what you can do with this fence other then there feather boards. I wish at the very least if not adding 2 T slots just put the one in the middle of the fence. Then sacrificial fences could be added with out risk of them not sitting tight due to clamped so high. I was hoping this was going to fence i could do everything with and not have to use my other fence mounts that i have made to attach to my saws.
I had Jessem guides on my cabinet saw and they were excellent. Lost my job, downsized, stuck with a crappy Dewalt. Man, this thing looks like a great bandaid.
Matt I love your channel. I watch it daily. I just purchased the Bow Bundle in the 46" version. Based on your video you stated it would fit most saws including cabinet saws. Just for information purposes for you patrons I purchased this for my Grizzly 1023 table saw with a Shop Fox (Beismyer style fence)and I was so dissapointed that it would not work on my saw. The 46" Bow fence would not protrude far enough beyond the Shop Fox fence to allow the material supports to work. I purchased it mainly for those supports. I returned the bundle to Amazon. Amazon has the Bow bundles in stock as 0f 10/09/24. For those who have the Grizzly 1023 with Shop Fox fence be advised the Bow System will not work. Keep up your good work. Love your videos.
I have a Metabo contractor saw, which is very much like your DeWalt, especially, in that, the two saws share a VERY similar rack&pinion fence system. The aluminum fence that came with these saws is very weak because, it's hollow. To combat this problem, I completely disassembled the fence, then I used a digital caliper to measure the inside of the aluminum fence, and slowly shaved down a piece of MDF until it was the same measurements as the inside of the aluminum fence. I then pushed the MDF into the fence, and reassembled it, and it's now solid as a rock, if it were made of aluminum and MDF. This fence will make a HUGE improvement to my saw, and I can't wait to get it.
Hi, thanks for sharing, one thing i notice the feather board in the minute 6:13 you pass the stick so close that you can't push the wood board all the way,
THANK YOU!!! I ordered this two days ago not seeing much about this fence, and hoping I didn’t waste money. I feel so much better about ordering the 46 in one. Thank you again for these videos especially producing them as fast as you do.
@@731Woodworkshey at least people remember the sham wow guy. There’s no shame in it. I had an old mentor who always told me - “Andrew you know you’re excited about something that you want to talk to much about it that your teeth itch.”
I added an extended melamine fence to my Milwaukee portable saw and it makes things much easier with longer boards....I love the extra in and outfeed table extensions.....may try and build something like that. I do own the side pressure featherboard from Bow and I absolutely love it....I really think they think out of the box a bit and add some fantastic accesories for woodworkers
Thanks for the review. You were right the most popular fence sold out. I happened to have the feather boards and the fence was very simple and easy to make. My homemade version works great and cost a few dollars.
These are reasonably priced for the safety they provide. If I ever physically recover enough to return to woodworking, I will defiantly be purchasing this. Thanks Matt. Also thanks for all your videos. Your videos are always a great mix of educational and entertaining . You have a great delivery of knowledge, positive attitude, and modesty that make your videos rise above the rest.
Safety is Job One! Thanks for sharing this exciting new product from Bow. PS Liked the T-Shirt, I am humbled and awed every time I am reminded of what a gift God's grace is.
Done that a while ago with an 8040 alu profile and a plywood piece bolted to the profile. I've been using it since that moment and I reccomend it to everyone who cuts a lot of panels on a portable saw
I just subscribed to your channel. I have watched a few of your videos and saw your quotes relating to Salvation. Then I saw your link that gave Salvation’s plan. Thank you for being bold in your faith. Of all the RUclipsrs I watch on a few seem proud of their faith like you and Will Stelter. I appreciate it.
Take my money! I've been interested to get one of the similar fence extensions, but having those featherboards and seeing they are the absolute best on the market, I am all in on the level of forethought and design these guys have on this fence. Thanks for doing the review!
Hey, thanks for the advice about having the feather board before the blade. That was great advice. I didn't have much experience with feather boards before.
before i finish watching your vid, i'm sold already and ordered! thanks man. i now don't need to be afraid using my ridgid jobsite saw...can't wait to use it. i hope you can make more project using this product.
I saw this a couple weeks ago in a Taylor Tools email and thought it looked really interesting. My contractor saw came with a lousy fence that wasn't straight, and I had to jerry-rig a plywood fence to it to get straight cuts. This seems like a good upgrade for that junky stock fence, and it's actually less expensive than I thought it would be. Might have to go on the Christmas wish list...
I love this! I've never seen (or thought of) infeed and outfeed support built into the fence. GREAT idea for jobsite saws because it can be easily removed and packed away for transportation! This is a clearly a nice product. While it doesn't appear to be overpriced, it does seem like you could get most of the same features and functionality from a few pieces of scrap (premium) plywood. I just might need to try this one!
Yes indeed, there are examples on RUclips for building an attachable fence with a base underneath it at table height that are very simple. Obvious even just thinking about it. I am impressed by the height, flexibility and options of this aluminum one.
I bought everything but the in & out feed pieces for my cabinet saw. The fence is reversible for left or right tilt. It worked great ripping 1 1/2” wide 45 degree pieces for a 3D cutting board. Kept the wood down and against the fence to maintain angle and width.
I love mine. It made it so easy for me to work with some fairly good size pieces of Baltic birch today. Safer, faster, and made accurate cutting so much easier.
Great Matt you did a video on this, I was hoping you would! I received this fence last week and it’s the real deal, heavy duty. I can’t wait to try mine. I bought the 24 and 36 😃
Hey, Matt! How about, if you think it's a good idea, suggesting to them that they make an attachment to fit in the t-track that would let you couple two shorter ones together. On a smaller saw, you might not want the extra length, all the time, but could quick&easy add it when you did.
I like it. I made an in-feed / out-feed extension for my Ridgid jobsite saw using 48" of 2040 Extruded Aluminum. Works great. It doesn't give the vertical support of this system though. My Delta saw out-feeds to a work bench, but again doesn't have vertical support. Bottom line is this system looks great if you're cutting tall stock regardless of your current out-feed system, or lack thereof. I'm sitting on a 10% off entire order TayTool coupon... very tempting.
I am very interested. I do think before I rush to purchase, I will wait for a period of time to see what other people think. And perhaps upgrades or improvements that are done to this system.
The 1 inch thickness is great and I think people are missing that part. Yea you can make one from plywood but its not exactly as thick as it says and adding 1 inch to your desired cut dimension is easier than adding any plywood thickness
Man those are amazing!!!!! This would make things in my shop a lot safer with my issue of only having one wing to use. I love being in my shop/garage but safety is also a must!!!! I hope you pick me so I can be out there more. I would put it on my wish list for Christmas but we are dealing with a lot of storm damage and a new roof and other things come first!! So I will keep praying. Well enough about me….I love the channel and the honesty that you bring with it!!! Keep doing what you’re doing!!!!
Hello from Canada. Got time for a pretty quick question? Just asking for an opinion. I believe if I ask five different woodworkers I will get seven different answers. So, just asking for your opinion. Do I "need" one or two of these featherboards for the saw table (two can be stacked on ech other?) and one or two of these featherboards for the fence? Then I need the fence of course, and a couple of clamps to hold the Bow fence to my saw's fence. Plus the infeed and outfeed supports. Anything else I may have missed? Thanks for sharing.
After seeing your video I IMMEDIATELY jumped onto the link! I think I bought the last one Taylor had in stock :)... Just got it today and it IS A GAME CHANGER. I have a Dewalt 7491 table saw. Accurately ripping hard woods with the 24" fence has been, let's just say, a CHALLENGE, especially given my skill set - I've only been working for about a year and sawing wood to be laser straight for glue ups has been not as successful as I'd hoped. This fend with the in feed and out feed support has been nothing less than amazing.. I got the 46" model and could not be happier---- thanks for letting us know! Larry
I just bought mine today - I am too fairly new to woodworking however I immediately noticed just how short the fence really is. I have 8 1/4 in dewalt and the 24" fence is a bit of a joke, even if I splurged on the 10" the fence would've still been slightly too short. How are you liking your a year since you bought it?
@@systemfox4724 I have the 46" fence and aside from the fact that the green out supports to are just a bit higher than the the actual saw table, meaning long boards do not sit flat on the table, the fence works great. I have the 10" Dewalt saw and it has been a very nice addition to the saw... except that I can't use the little spacers under the fence to raise it off the table. Have you experience this issue?
"They really thought of everything". Quite literally took the words out of my mouth. This thing looks great. I was just looking for some kind of tall fence for my table saw a few days ago and didn't find anything that looked like what I wanted. The fact that I can easily bring it from my table saw to the band saw is a very good added bonus. sadly I was late to the party and the 46inch kit is out of stock. debating on getting the 36 inch kit and the separate 46 and doing just like you said. leaving one on the band saw and one for the table saw.
I like the Bow products and have purchased both the feather board for use on my table saw, router and band saw and the resaw guide for the band saw. I opted for the Kreg ACS system with the folding legs and for that reason only bought a 8-1/4” Skill job site saw on a folding rolling stand. I was considering the Bow Extender fence to create a larger in and out feed for the table saw but realized that the $33 pair clamps Kreg makes to add 2x4 extension to the ASC table can also be used on my table saw to create extended in and out feeds for much less 😊
Thanks for the review Matt! I've seen this before but I didn't realize it had the out feed support. I can see how that would make a huge difference cutting any length lumber that extends beyond the back of the table. 😊😊😊
Thx for sharing Matt. I use infeed outfeed rollers so that feature isn't a big selling point for me. I'm scart of ever reaching over a running saw. I don't want to be one of the 50,000+ people that land in the ER annually from table saws. However, the height of this fence gives all kinds of advantages. Definitely a bost for resawing. Again, Matt thx for sharing.
It’s just like the one I made, but better! I love Bow but I feel like they missed one (in my opinion) crucial feature. The option to mount the fence horizontally as well! That’s how I built mine because having a low fence, at the table saw at least, is way more valuable than a tall fence for what I normally use the saw for. I would love this at the bandsaw though with the infeed/outfeed!
a fence extension is well worth the investment, this system dose look like it has all the bases covered. the one thing I'd like them to add next, is the ability to connect the fence pieces, like a track saw. this would add even more versatility to it
I find that more often than not, I’m ripping long pieces on my table saw, and I need a lot more indeed and outfeed support. I was cutting up 8/4 ash 10.5” wide and 8’ long for a project yesterday. I built out my workbench around my table saw to get 8’ behind it and 2’ up front (removable). But I can see this working for a lot of other cases once you have somewhat manageable pieces.
I bought this setup after seeing this video and love it. With lumber being so expensive right now I rather buy this than make an in-feed table and such.
Couple things for first thoughts. 1 if you don't have a planer & jointer (like myself) and want to join longer boards seems to me this system would help on the longer boards with a jig. 2 (more of a question) does the Bow clamps function the same as the Micro Jig dove tail? If some (like myself) has neither which of the two clamps would be the wiser choice.
Something came to mind watching this. When you were doing the boards on and is it safe to put a featherboard behind your blade ? But I do love this new fence system
I like it. I already have an outfeed table, but I have no infeed support and very little room for it. This fence could be the perfect solution. BTW, even though I'm not religious, I love your t-shirts.
I think I actually like this for the bandsaw a little bit more than the tablesaw. Normally, I just butt up a straight piece of 3/4 inch plywood, but it sure would be nice to have something like this
How does this compare in price to other systems? Adding up $140 fence, $40 Feed support, $30 clamps, $40 vertical feather, $25 horizontal feather, that equals $235. Is that a good price? Are there other systems, while not having all the slots for "future" addons, at this or lower price? Would be nice have that comparison in the video, or notes.
I just found your channel and can not stop watching. I just purchased the DeWalt table saw. Will the Bow FeatherPRO feather board fit this saw or do I need the Bow Portable feather board? Thanks for the help!
I have the sawstop job site pro. For anything beyond 11” or so, you have to unlock the right side of the table. To support the work, a little blade can be extended from the fence. Clearly this product would eliminate the utility of that blade; I’m trying to figure out how to get the equivalent support next to the fence. I’m not seeing a good solution. I know lots of smaller saws have an open table, seems like this would be an issue for them as well. Is there something simple that I’m missing?
Really like this fence extender for my DeWalt job site saw, seems like it will be real helpful. Do you know if the JessEm Clear Cut Stock Guides will work with this fence?
perfect timing on this review. been eyeing this product ever since i got the email from Taylor Toolworks. was trying to decide between the 36 or 46 for my Dewalt 7491....and this review helped me with that decision. thanks for this!
Man, you guys get the best stuff over there! This would also be great for "jointing without a jointer" much longer pieces that may not fit on a sled. Can the fences be joined together to make an even longer fence?
This really nice. I am using the Jessem Clear-Cut Stock Guides I love them. This would have been cool if it was available prior to me getting the Jessem stock guides. Great video, as always.
That's an absolutely brilliant product. I'll be using this as a basis for my own fence. Personally, I don't like the way it fixes to the fence (specifically on the DeWalt). Those clamps will get in the way of over fence jigs like tenon jigs. It's easy enough to build something like this yourself. If you have a table saw, you should have the skills to make your own, and probably for less money. That said, I think for those who want an off the shelf product, this actually looks like a good product that will do what you need it to.
This looks like an amazing upgrade and I will definitely be picking one up for my job site saw. I admit I've done some "safe" things with my saw (not to be confused with actually safe), specifically due to not having a good out feed support. This this looks like it will end that problem for me entirely. For reference, "safe" means "You know you're doing something you shouldn't, as safely as you can, because it's a bad idea that you don't have practical way around"
This looks pretty cool. I was going to build my own tall fence, but the ability to add infeed and outfeed support makes me rethink that. Thanks for reviewing this.
I wonder if there will be Jess-Em adapters rigged up. I’d love to have the Jess-Em’s on my Dewalt but I’m not willing to modify the stock fence via the methods I’ve seen here on RUclips.
This looks awesome but I have one question: if the fence has feets not to scratch the surface of your table saw, then the infeed/outfeed supports are a 1 or 2 mm higher than the surface of your table saw?
Take my money. Seriously. I have a SawStop Jobsite Pro saw in my little shop. I already have a Bow featherboard, and it works great. The infeed/outfeed supports and vertical and horizontal feather boards will help so much when cutting bigger pieces of lumber and to make more accurate and safer cuts on small pieces. This is one of those products that is so simple, yet so brilliant. Just about everyone that sees this is asking themselves, "why didn't I think of that?"
That’s what I’m talking about. This appears to have a lot of value and is priced very well. Now if other companies took this route people would buy more of their stuff.
This will cure MANY issues I have with my dewalt saw. My saw and router are built into one unit that I can move around the shop. The router side works as the out feed for the saw so this would be a great in feed ad on.
I build a lot of bird houses and feeders and I usually use cypress cutoffs I get from a small local sawmill. This allows you to basically joint the board without a jig on a table saw.
Thank you for showing this, it fits a need! Regarding the horizontal featherboard, how well does it fit on the dewalt contractor saw? I've found most featherboards don't fit well with the track in the top.
So.. I just ordered my first dewalt 7845 saw.. just a DIYer. Comes with the stand for $170 on sale (memorial day weekend sale). Been looking at various accessories and this fence along with their green/foam thingies look great. The thing is, I also have 2 Kreg stands which I love. They are rock solid when used and I feel like setting up one or both of those on either/both sides will give me the extra support I need for longer pieces. Right? Or am I missing something for my limited DIYer use of the table saw? So I was thinking the 24" fence with the two thingies attached to hold wood down as it goes through, and two of the ones to go on the table to hold it against the fence would be a pretty solid combo right?
Matt, have you tried to put this in place of the fence on the Wahunda yet, does it fit? It looks like it would make a great longer replacement for their stock fence which would be incredibly helpful on a joiner.
Matt, will this fence allow you to use the lower-cost JessEm flex stock guides, the $99 ones? I have a jobsite table saw and have always wanted the stock guides, but there's no place to attach them with my tiny fence. Even the new cheaper stock guides require a taller wooden fence, so would this work instead?
I am more interested in the infeed and the high fence features, as I already built an Outfeed/router/construction table in my small workshop. Prices are not bad, even in Canadian dollars. Thanks for the heads-up!
interesting, i made my own version with a couple pieces of plywood a few years ago for my milwaukee m12 table saw, but these are aluminum, might be more durable and much less friction. would probably get it if i get back into some wood working- when i have time for it.

can you just keep note of the measurment discrepancy and do the math each time? I know that is a pain.

I then pushed the MDF into the fence, and reassembled it, and it's now solid as a rock, if it were made of aluminum and MDF. This fence will make a HUGE improvement to my saw, and I can't wait to get it.
Hi, thanks for sharing, one thing i notice the feather board in the minute 6:13 you pass the stick so close that you can't push the wood board all the way,
The fence does have a lot of nice features! My contractor saw fence has a slight bow in the middle so adding a better fence would be helpful.
THANK YOU!!! I ordered this two days ago not seeing much about this fence, and hoping I didn’t waste money. I feel so much better about ordering the 46 in one. Thank you again for these videos especially producing them as fast as you do.
I got mine today, and if anyone is reading this the milescraft track saw guide clamps work on this as well.
PLEASE do a video about using on a bandsaw. How does it attach to the table? Does it ‘square up’ and have alignment adjustment capability? Thanks!
You are absolutely the Sham Wow guy for tools.
Once you try the Milwaukee slap chop, you'll never go back to dicing vegetables with a knife!
🤷🏻♂️ Seems to be working out for me. I have a passion for tools. I love making videos. I get to do this full time. I’m blessed beyond measure.
Thank you!
Sold. Ordered the 46" bundle. This is the best idea in saw accessories I've yet seen. Thanks, Matt!
You’ll love it. It’s a great tool!
What a fantastic time to be a woodworker. Who’s with me?
It’s always a fantastic time to be a woodworker! Being retired, I’m out there almost everyday!!💪💪
Thanks for this review....I made this system my first upgrade to my new table saw!
After watching this I bought the whole system and I love it!!!!!
This system looks amazing. I think I will add it to my Christmas list. Thank you for reviewing it for us.
Great Matt you did a video on this, I was hoping you would! I received this fence last week and it’s the real deal, heavy duty. I can’t wait to try mine. I bought the 24 and 36 😃
Bloody hell, I just looked at the pricing and it’s fair, not expensive. Definitely on my “buy now” list. Terrific product.
Hey, Matt!
How about, if you think it's a good idea, suggesting to them that they make an attachment to fit in the t-track that would let you couple two shorter ones together. On a smaller saw, you might not want the extra length, all the time, but could quick&easy add it when you did.
I would think you can already line up two 24" ones and it would be ok....just a guess.
I’m curious how this would work on a sawstop job site pro . If the weight would allow the fence to move freely over the saw .
Wow this is going to be a game changer! Appreciate you reviewing them and of course they are sold out 😢 but I think I'll buy pieces and make it my own
Game changer for sure!! I have the DeWalt job site saw in my shop and this will be a fantastic addition! Thanks for posting, Matt!👍
I liked your description of the Bow XT Extender Fence, my only questions is, what are some of the cons you found with the extender fence?
Those plastic parts are perfect for 3d printing. Grinch green is a cool color too.
I started woodworking recently to keep the cost down on the renovation of the house I just bought and could really use that product
Normally, I just butt up a straight piece of 3/4 inch plywood, but it sure would be nice to have something like this
feed support for the bandsaw is amazing!!!!!! I have a bunch of old beams i want to resaw in to window jam material. This is a game changer!!!!
This tool is a great idea. I know my dad would have appreciated having one. Love that tee shirt.
Look up 80-20 extruded aluminum a similar aluminum fence 1”x3”x48” comes in at just under 50$
@@Oggdog5869 Thanks
Any build videos coming?
I just found your channel and can not stop watching. I just purchased the DeWalt table saw. Will the Bow FeatherPRO feather board fit this saw or do I need the Bow Portable feather board? Thanks for the help!
the Pro will fit
Great idea. Infeed support is my biggest complaint after going from a cabinet saw to a jobsite saw.
Everytime I come back it is another infomercial
I have the sawstop job site pro. For anything beyond 11” or so, you have to unlock the right side of the table. To support the work, a little blade can be extended from the fence.
Clearly this product would eliminate the utility of that blade; I’m trying to figure out how to get the equivalent support next to the fence. I’m not seeing a good solution. I know lots of smaller saws have an open table, seems like this would be an issue for them as well. Is there something simple that I’m missing?
I was on the fence (get it) at first, and then I saw (get it) the out feed support and we’ll now I’m convinced I need this on my Ridgid job site saw
Really like this fence extender for my DeWalt job site saw, seems like it will be real helpful. Do you know if the JessEm Clear Cut Stock Guides will work with this fence?
Purchased!! Been looking for something like this. Too many times I’ve done some sketchy stuff when cutting longer boards on my job site saw.
Enjoy!
@@731Woodworks I will!! But not until December 25 😂
perfect timing on this review. been eyeing this product ever since i got the email from Taylor Toolworks. was trying to decide between the 36 or 46 for my Dewalt 7491....and this review helped me with that decision. thanks for this!
Glad I could help!
I was just thinking about wanting to get a new fence for my dewalt table saw. Going to really consider picking one up.
Man, you guys get the best stuff over there!
This would also be great for "jointing without a jointer" much longer pieces that may not fit on a sled.
Can the fences be joined together to make an even longer fence?
go to the scrap yard and find a storm door frame thats straight. been using one for years. straight is the key
This really nice. I am using the Jessem Clear-Cut Stock Guides I love them. This would have been cool if it was available prior to me getting the Jessem stock guides. Great video, as always.
Whaaa?!! This is beyond everything I have wished for for my Dewalt contractor table saw. Yes sir, I am gettin’is!
Dayam I need this for my Dewalt Flexvolt 7485 jobsite saw, sold out of the 46, will have to wait until back instock.
Another amazing video, Antoher amazing tool! guess I might need to pick one up sometime, 👍
Just got this and followed your advise and got the 46". Make total sense to add to the job site saw
How does that matter unless you are cutting something 1 or 2mm thick?
Thank you for looking for of these different tools I save time just by watching your videos.
Glad you like them!
This will cure MANY issues I have with my dewalt saw. My saw and router are built into one unit that I can move around the shop. The router side works as the out feed for the saw so this would be a great in feed ad on.
How in God's name did we live without RUclips videos?
Very interesting. Do you have any idea if this would work on a Shopsmith?
I just received mine in the mail. Super excited to use this. Thanks for sharing!
Hope you enjoy it!
