Definitely did not expect anything to be played perfectly. Phil sounded amazing, rest of the band sounded pretty tight... But Kerry absolutely butchered that solo 🤮

I've been through this countless times with people. His voice is not shot, he's out of practice in this style. He hasn't sung anything in this style regularly since the early 00's, & trust me there's a big difference between this & his Down material, vocally. If you don't use it you lose it.
But it's definitely not gone, just rusty as hell. This is the first song. on later ones like Goddamn Electric, once he'd warmed up a bit, he sounded great.

I always watch this performance when I want to see a live version of Mouth for War. If you look past the scratchy vocals it's the most accurate live version vocally compared to the album. Phil is on point here and sings this better than he did with Pantera where he'd usually take some shortcuts.

I love this performance and I don't mean to put anybody down, but hearing this really makes me appreciate how on the backside of the beat Dimebag played. I know it's not easy to play like someone as great as him and I give full props for the performance the guitar player gave, but every track I've heard from this gig just sounds rushed and not in the pocket the way that I'm used to hearing.
Agreed. Not judging Kerry but he butchered that solo.

Kerry should be th last one playing dimes solos. Dime has got groove in them and really bendin those note in a freaky and funky way and kerry is no near of words like groove, funk etc. Hes straightforward "ill pick as many notes as I can" metal guy...
