🇺🇸🙋♀️ I still have a Buck knife and couldn't see giving it up and really don't see needing another one, unless it some how breaks, but highly doubt that.
Buck makes great made in usa knives. The Buck spitfire is a good modern backlock knife with a pocketclip. They come in 420hc and s35vn. For under 100bucks.
I used to have two 110s, lost in a housefire & massive theft. Like to get a 112. Ive seen some with all the features on it. Thumb studs, pocket clip, non-typical scale material - looked bad-a$$ ! For most skining & daily use the 110 handles easily. I think it is the weight & handle thickness that puts many off. Bought gas yesterday at $2.55/gallon. Really want one of the Military 2 !
Never had an actual buck knife til I won one in a GAW, had knockoffs growing up. Our gasoline prices have been going down steadily thank goodness, otherwise gas and groceries would be a toss-up on what gets bought. Have a great day brother 🥷🏽🤙🏽
I really like Buck knives. The 110 is my favorite. People can say what they want, I still like the 110. It's tied up with some great childhood memories and I think it is one of the reasons I love knives today. Btw. I drive a diesel car, no gasoline here.
I have always liked Buck and the warranty is great. I know a few people don’t like the black handles on their fixed blades and feel that the 110 is too old school. But hey that’s their opinion. Thanks for the video and God bless.
Damn, I missed that Strider Buck or I would have bought one. I have a few Striders, and I can assure you I paid a lot more for them. I don't have any problem with Buck, including the exploded one I still have at home which one day I really will send you.
I don't hate Buck; I just wish they would evolve. They're stuck in the 80's. Way back then at the advice of a short timer who told me "a knife is your life" I went out and bought a 110 and it served me well. These days my question is why is Buck so eager to move on from modern designs yet cling to the 110? is the 110 a great collector piece? Yes. In an age f one hand open and close knives is it still viable? No. How many knife guys hate Buck because their knives are predominantly pinned construction? If Buck wants to stick with 420hc as a base steel fine, then perhaps add another steel (BD1N) for mid-price and offer S30V for the pro lineup. Also, off a few models in an xl version. For example, take the now discontinued vantage. Make it in a 3.75 inch blade, make the flipper tab bigger, give some jimping, and rename it the advantage. Come on Buck! Step into the next century! Meanwhile, gas has dropped from3.90 a gallon to 3.00 over the last 8 months.
@@mewithknives3481 bro. They already offer knives in s30v s45vn magnacut ...that stuff is out there. They climg to the 110 because most people who use knives don't watch RUclips. The 110 has sold more units year after year for 60 years ....than any other locking knife in history. Thry can't afford to stop production. Some of those 110s sold are in those premium steels aforementioned. Buck has modern flippers in cpm steels. The 110 isn't hurting anything in its sub 50 dollar usa folder class
How much is gasoline in your neck of the woods? I don't know mine here cuz i don't hardly ever get out & go somewhere. My choice not to, guess I'm weird like that! 😆
poor edge retention , 420HC will dull the quickest out of all the common acceptable blade steels . I love the design of most bucks ( some lower end models don't hit me well ) the ones I do own do not have 420HC I own a pre 1980 110 in 440c ( the steel they built the company on ) and a custom 110 in s30v . gasoline in Ky is under 3 bucks a gallon.
@@apex_alchemy_knives if that is you saying buy some 420HC and use it , I have that is why I don't own any ty sir I have taken the taste test and it tasted like fresh steaming horse sh!t.
@wildfree4203 i mean they offer the 110 in magnacut. S30v. S45vn....they sell more in 420hc of course. That's likely because knife users dictate the market. Not steel type collectors. 80 years with a crown and there isn't a close second

🇺🇸🙋♀️ Cheapest gasoline price is about 3.89 in my area in Cali...
About the same in Northern California (Olivehurst CA)
Gasoline is going down here in AZ- have a great day

Buckaroo, I like that, so I'm a Buckaroo too. I share your opinion of Case too. Good job
I like Buck by the way

Eventually I need to get a Buck 110 and a 112.

I don’t think anyone hates Buck! It’s a great company. At this point in time, they might need to ditch the 420HC.
Why ? It works. They do it well. You can get the same knife n a plethora of cpm steel types.
I have the 110 and it cuts just fine, it’s the steel trend that’s killing the market.. sometimes you just have to adapt.
