He has the best mixing tutorials on youtube hands down . Simple easy and straight to the point. Plus the fact of videos using stock plug ins is a super plus . Everybody can't afford third party plug ins
Hey man your the reason I have started producing well. You taught me how to use FL. Still pretty bad but still learning. Also love your personality! Keep this work up man. Stay safe.
Hey man, the tutorials are amazing and really helpful. But like when you level and gain stage I get kind of confused. Like maybe it’s easier then I think but how loud should certain sounds be and stuff before I mix. Sorry if you have already made a video just going in depth with the basic basics of mixing, but if you could just really explain leveling and where to start that would be great, thanks
naw you're good! It's a great question. So i'm gonna try and make this easy. What I did here was adjust the channel rack levels that feed into the mixer at first. I just made sure I had (headroom) meaning I was under 0db by "x" amount. Since we aren't using analog gear or really any analog modeled plugins (in this video) that operate best around a certain db, I just made sure I had some headroom on each track. Then I started with a fader mix, meaning I took all the mixer faders and created a balance that I liked. This gets me 90% of the way to a good mix. Good sounds from the start, and a good leveled mix. Then I went in and processed to make room, create space, making things get along (eq wise) add fx and so on. Hopefully that helps! I started mixing with a lot of analog gear (when I first started) I also was an engineer for a live theater, so I'm stuck in the habit of analog a lot..
I'm sorry, but my English isn't great, so I need to make sure I understand it well. Do you do the gain staging to the samples and instruments before you start the leveling or just left them as it?
This guy knows what he doing.🔥🔥 Definitely gonna incorporate the game. 💯💯 I Just dropped a Trap version of Carol of the bells. I think i outdid the original. Check it out
Not at all. Many stock plugins are great. But if you have the money, there are some great plugins out there and I strongly suggest doing research on what you want and grabbing some. Long story short, they all have their own algorithms, tones etc. Some model analog gear and so on. But if you don’t have the funds, stock plugins are just fine.
That fluteeee and the vocals are hard
Thanks!
I think your the only producer that reminds people to level match when you use plugins 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Oh my God, that melody brings so much joy and happiness to my ears, I'm like "am I in heaven rn" cause that melody is 😍😍😍

I wish i knew like 30% of what you know about mixing🤕

Great with Good.
How bout a LoFi mixing Tut bro?
when the beat comes out?
What's about stereo imaging on others drums like hats, snares and everything ? Do you just keep it by default ?
Can you do lofi beat to ?
Mixing one or making the beat?
where did you find that vocal i need it lol
LifestylediditAGAIN😈
Please beat tutorial 😢
Where can i listen the full beat
stupid question probably but how do you have your plugins organised on the mixer like that 0:45
When you open the plugin's..at the last it gives u the option to organiza it like this way.....i think the "tree" one🤔(not sure with the name)
the leveling and the gainstaging are tbe same thing or not ?
They are
I look at it like this. Gain staging is getting a clean signal pre plugins. Leveling is using the faders to get a static mix.
please flp
at it's bad at all using only stock plugins?
