Range testing my 5.8ghz 3 turn helical antenna. The goggles are fatshark HD3 with a true-D module and the vtx is 400mw with a foxeer pagoda pro 5.8ghz antenna

Hi Henrik, great flight 💪. Really fun to watch 🤩. I started fpv flying 16 month ago with analog quads but I never flew so far away. My biggest distance was about 1.6 km with a Chimera 4 with 800 mW rush tank and patch antennas on my Eachine EV300o goggles. How can you achieve such a range ? Phantastic, mate 🏆👏👏
Thanks mate, its becouse of the goggle antenna. I build all antennas myself. This one is a 3turn helical on the goggles and a omni directional on diversity for close range. Plane has a omni on a 400mw vtx
