I swear 🙄 this mans collection is the most colorful on the entire RUclips platform amazing!! Never heard of Toxic Crusaders and Boglins so your videos are always a good way to gain more knowledge about stuff I don't know.
This was my favorite toy line when I was a kid. The real Ghostbusters just as much. I’m now going to go for a complete collection of them. Including the super7 releases.
Man... Throwback. I was given the entire line except for wind surfer thing for my birthday when I was a kid. I don't thing I have any of them anymore though.
So jealous of your collection man! I loved Toxic Crusaders as a kid (mainly because I had a coloring book), and since becoming an adult I'm a massive fan of the movies and Troma in general.
@@EdsRetroGeekOut yeah they're really cool and creative figures, and a good scale too. Perfect for a Toxie hanging with the Ninja Turtles photo shoot XD
Great video and collection. I’m going to start the line now. Completely forgot about them! I had so many but didn’t even know the show as a kid! Rock on Ed!
I miss the bright colours of the tmnt era with lines like this! Today most figures use bland colours for some reason; let alone the lack of gross(mutant-like) theme.
I remember getting Boneheads bike for my birthday or christmas. It took me a while to get Bonehead himself and I was thrilled to have both of them. One of my favorite and coolesti toys i had when i was a kid. This brought back some good memories. Thank you for this video
Wow I remember having those as a kid except the vehicles of course. Of course my parents took away the slime because they didn’t want it in the carpet. The detail on those was something amazing with the neon colors and stuff. Great review of these and hope you find nozone.
On the Toxic Avenger 2 DVD’s special feature “Toxie Fifteen Years Later” there are 4 fully painted unreleased figures shown in the first 30 seconds - the only 2 I recognize from the tv show are Mayor Grody & Killemoff’s insect boss Czar Zosta....such a shame cuz they look super rad.
I had most of these, actually including Nozone and a second Radiation Ranger and the handheld game, and all the British comics. Only didn't have the Helicopter and the videogames. Great detail on these figures and vehicles.
Perfect timing on this video. I recently decided to stop admiring this line from afar and used the money I’ve been saving in gas during this pandemic to start collecting Toxic Crusaders.
My uncle was and still is in to motorcycles and skulls so anything that came out like that he'd always buy for me as a kid so I remember having the smog cycle and the glow in the dark skull guy. He also got me every thing that Biker Mice From Mars came out with!
I got my first Toxic Crusader for Christmas when I was three, it was Bonehead. One of the first action figures I remember owning. Some time later, after I had been asking for it, my dad got me the motorcycle. Still remember the sight of him carrying the box from the store as I waited in the car... I was incredibly thankful.
I never knew about this series until I saw it mentioned on TV Tropes So Bad It's Good page, and after Toxie popped up in drawings of Leonardo teaming up with characters from all the Ninja-Turtles-esque series (Biker Mice From Mars, Street Sharks) I became intrigued and watched it. I think it's definitely one of the best cartoons based on a movie, and easily the best one adapted from an R-rated film. This aired in 1991 right round the time I turned 2 years old so it's no wonder I don't remember ever seeing this as a kid. I was way too young to appreciate how it brilliantly parodies action cartoons based on toys. Despite that, the toys for it are very cool and go great with the Ninja Turtles series. I definitely want to buy it on DVD eventually, and collect the figures of my favorite characters.
@@EdsRetroGeekOut I just realized that one of the things I like about them is that Muckman (one of the few TMNT toys I had as a kid) would feel right at home with them. Maybe he and Joe Eyeball joined the Toxic Crusaders at some point. Great, now I want to write a fanfic about that.
When I was a kid there was a newsagent near me that sold these figures really cheap so I snapped them all up. Well, I got my parents to. Can't wait to get the Super7 Toxie figure coming out soon. I swear there was an unproduced Mayor Gody figure I saw in an interview with Lloyd Kaufman once.
Wow looking at this really brings you back I lost all of them growing up some of them I gave it to my nephews but the only one I got is the soldier one
Back in the day boys in Poland used to buy TC chewing gum and collect included stickers to complete a collection of 24. Surprisingly no matter how much chewing gum you bought to achieve that, you'd still be missing 1-2 ot of three ultra rare stickers and that would render winning any of the cool gadgets offered in the sticker album impossible. The legend has it that some kid managed to grab 'em all and claim the reward, but the only video camera that he got was a camera-shaped pencil sharpener that looked exactly as seen on TV.
class, nice one dude. Watched the original toxie monster movie, the other day, laughed my ass off! Knowledgeable session with you too and I'm away! I enjoy the nostalgy trips from your earlier, media. Ed'209 - #20 seconds to comply.
@@EdsRetroGeekOut lol ... Too new acquaintances, good times to figure things out, Ed'209 with the cap action. We petrol painted a Robo figure which turned out, sweet! We were hoping for the Robo#2 finish! Cains, is exquisite, butt.
I think my brother might have a radiation ranger in one of his TMNT bags stashed away somewhere but I definitely know I have that bonehead guy. Your collection definitely brings back memories of my childhood 👍
I just picked up the cartoon dvd recently. I was a huge fan when I was younger. I remember being home from school sick. Watching the first 5 episode's or so. All week long Toxie goodness. The first movie is where I learned about Toxic Avenger. Holy shit that is a classic film and that head crushing scene. Damn!!!!
This is one toyline I never heard of, or just completely forgot after I seen it (which seems hard, given the extreme nature of these toys). For sure, unreleased where I hail from, the Netherlands.... As a kid I watched the Toxic Avenger 1 + 2 movies on good ole VHS, so trully bizarre to see these toys after all those years....
Boglins were the best...they came in that catdboard cage and they made your hands smell like that rubber but theyd never be made today..I cant believe Toxic Crusaders was even a thing when i was a kid..it was there one minute gone the next..i remember seeing Toxic Avenger on USA Up All Night with Rhonda Sheer and Gilbert Gotfried..and could not believe Toxie was turned into a cartoon more geared towards my age group but at that point id already seen the real thing and didnt get too into it enough to get a buncha merch...i did have a lunch box and wish i still had it.
Thx for the Video ✌ very nice that Toyline it was in Germany not Popular or only not in my Hood 😅 so i never see that Cartoon 😕😑 ...but looks great #Awesome90sStyle 👍
Honestly, Toxic Avenger looks like it would fit right into the TMNT world. I can see why you thought the one figures was a TMNT character. I also want to see an in depth look at Dino-Riders. I had the T-Rex and a few others as a kid but my mom ended up breaking them as punishment for my brother and me fighting and breaking a valuable family heirloom. I guess we probably deserved it lol.
Every time I see this toyline, I think of how much of a bummer it is that it didn't get to go deeper and further. I really wish we had more characters. I didn't know Playmates did these either. Its on my list of things to get. I think Super7 will complete the figures and hopefully we will see some unreleased stuff. The designs were so cool. I'm guessing the cartoon was not that good and thats what tanked the toyline. I think I would like to see your Battle Beasts or Boglins stuff. Thanks so much :)
