I do wonder about why/how the echo ended up in Fikrul's hands as well. If the echo was searching for someone worthy, it makes me wonder if it thought Fikrul was worthy, not because of what he is now, but what he was once before becoming Fikrul. Cause, we know Uldren brought him back as a a Scorn, wishing for him to live, but we don't know anything about the Eliksni/Fallen he was before.
Fikrul actually started a village and new home for the scorn. We know this because crow went to look for him and found him in a peaceful place. Crow decided to leave. My guess is when Fikrul got the echo he sees that he is bringing peace in the long run. It’s like a mortal given god like powers but they are too arrogant they don’t know what to do. The traveler and winnower have all these powers but they use it in the way they do for a reason.
My personal theory is that at some point we’re going to gain the power to undo the damage the Witness caused to various planets, and that’s gonna kick off our “beyond Sol Saga”, my guess is that we go to Riis, Torabatyl and maybe even Fundament
I personally thought the Herald of Finality could’ve been Chelchis, but I’m glad that we have more lore for her here. The exotic mission Kell’s Fall will probably be the story on how Chelchis fell during the Whirlwind
Maybe it’s just me, but these Echo stories would’ve done far better if they were put into mini-expansions akin to House of Wolves or Warmind. They’re such an interesting concept with lots of potential, but the seasonal model drags them down really hard.
Same, I feel like a mini dlc for echoes specifically would have given us a much better ending to it rather than "oh no the antagonist we fought for 4 months just left and is now no longer a threat". Like what kind of ending is that 😭
Gotta say, this specific epsiode’s story is really good imo. I love how mellow and almost street level the threats feel after the Witness. Like they’re not immediately pushing a big bad guy, they know this takes time and they’re taking their time. And even then, they still have big implications to their smaller stories! Like the echoes are small, but the voices they carry could be gigantic lore wise
Or it could choose Eido. Her pursuit of knowledge and her passion for her people. She may not be a leader at the moment but when push comes to shove her joining with the echo could bring out her latent potential. Unlock that inner fire of hers. I mean Eramis even said how she sees a lot of herself in Eido.
It's interesting that the Echoes seem to be alive and that each one contains the soul of a dead leader, or someone who was very important to an certain civilization, but while Fikrul's Echo (I dunno why they haven't given it a name like they did with Maya's) seems to not recognize him as worthy of its power. The Echo of Command apparently aknowledged Maya as its bearer. Now I wonder: Whose soul will be trapped inside the Echo in the next Episode? I'm pretty sure that Xivu Arath will get her hands on that one, maybe the soul of Taox or the Osmium King is inside it? That'll definitely be interesting to see.
Overthrown leaders would agree. More disembodied consciousness. That is the story, that is the key, who's consciousness is controlling the design? Would we be the incorporeal entities known as the director to the Destiny universe, and besides again breaking the fourth wall, what implications would that have? Knowing you are effectively a past entity to this universe acting upon it from a different time and place. I say human Merkwelt in design, but there is so much more to it. I am AEON.
It’s highly unlikely but the echo choosing Skolas could be cool I could see it potentially choosing him because of his strong ability to rebel and make his own path
Why is Skolas wielding a massive version of a human made Rocket Launcher?! It has the Awoken Queen's symbol on it and colors but why would they even need one that massive?!
They're not bringing cayde back again. He gave up his light. And echoes are not unformed ghosts. You clearly aren't paying attention to the video or the lore at all
@Byebyebiden2028 no, I'm not. Not a veteran from y1 but who cares? What you're saying is nonsense because the echoes aren't ghosts. If this is a meme I don't know it.

That's where a d3 comes in
@@ThePresidentofMars it was still somewhat civilized as there were some semblance of lineages and kingdoms
@DevioussKing im not denying that but unlike riis, i dont think the witness changed all that much about the planet.

Given the turn the story seems to take with the Eliksni and Eramis, i would be suprised if we find out the singer is in fact Athrys.

It’s quite cool the direction they’re going, so far it’s a good season. The tomb helps a lot keeping the base happy

Calling it now the new expansion raid is "Into The Echo"
“Dust and Echoes”
Oh that’s cute, you think there will be a raid
They're probably gonna release 1 dungeon and be done tbh

Kiiraskes is the only fallen that was in Irrha of House Slayers/Barons.
Clever...A voice...that sings...A literal Echo...
I know for story purposes they have to make the echoes “enemies” but it would’ve been cool if the echoes revived the species that were killed

I knew if the House of Stone for years. Hopefully we get to meet it's Kell in game somehow.
@m3tr0id86 yet she is in the Echo and we most take it away from Crow first born son by force if needed and then use variks as a human shield

it looks like the cutscene was made then reversed lol. i would have preferred the reverse version

Does anyone have the music itself for the echo? A link?

Why is this echo different than the one Maya had. And why does this one want a different vessel and the other one didn’t ?
