My students and I have been so inspired by your videos that I’ve ordered some PowerUps, for my classroom, so that we can try some similar projects. Thank you for sharing and please keep the videos coming.
Very nice. Wing-tip drag adds proverse yaw, and is used in steep turns. Naturally, during turns and especially while adding drag artificially by dipping a tip, it needs even more power.
I do really enjoy your video. I am begginer plane builder . I hope you can share some plans so I can try myself. Thanks for sharing. I was looking for a power up channel for a long time..... please keep sharing . Thanks !!!!
I think the main problem is the motor is overpowered. The Powerup weighs 9g and produces 20g of thrust. 20g of thrust should power upto 160g of mass in ground effect. That's roughly 0.5sqm of 5mm foamcore. Your whole plane probably weighs only 20g.
Hello Can you make a tutorial for your Write brothers plane? It will be my first plane, and as you wrote in video have low speed and stability. Thanks in advance.
That's by design. I wanted it to be able to fly because I had the idea to fly it above a pool outdoor. The pool is not big enough for the model to turn around without leaving the surface of the water. If you want to have a heavier payload, that's the easiest thing to accomplish. Just add some weight to your model and it's done.
No problem. I get my foam (foam plates) from Walmart. Other supermarkets also carry foam plates. Foam plates from different manufacturers are not the same. The ones that I prefer are flat and between 1-2 mm thick at the bottom.

I am glad that you find my videos useful. Thanks.
its great to see that somebody likes build and fly WIG (Wing in groud) crafts
this type of crafts are very beautyful objects
From a W.I.G Airfish 8 PILOT...keep up the good work!
Very nice.

Very true. 😀
Excellent
she looks great and captures the "airfish" lines .
Darn air bullies. They are everywhere even on the gym floor. Nice work.
Thanks for support!

I think you shoul look at this link about Professor Dr. A. Lippish on Ground effect. Rudolph
That was awesome.
Thanks.
Thanks for sharing . I think I may Have A go At Building One Just A Little Bigger
Which type of POWERUP do you use for all of your planes?
POWERUP 3.0
you could put a second inverted wing above the ground effect wing

How do you get the thrust / aircraft mass ratio?
Hello

That's light enough to be a plane. One of the reasons for WIG is heavier payload.

I want your full-sized people on paper, thank you.
Can yo make a slow and big power up plane plz by the way i liked and subscribed
Stay tuned. I've made a couple of such attempts and have some thoughts to share.
Great design dude!
Thanks, man!
I’m sorry for all of the questions. Where do you get your foam? What type of foam do you use (thickness and type)? Thank you for your time and help.

Lol were you crash testing your vehicle xD
Not intentionally. 😉
Awesome. Would i be able to have the template for the wings please?
do you have any templates?
Hi,I have a question, this model require brush motor or brushless DC motor? thank you.
Brushed or brushless, it doesn't really matter. In the case of this model, the motor is brushed. It came with the POWERUP 3.0 module.

How do you steer that thing. Don't see any moveable control surfaces.
Look closely. There is a rudder next to the prop.
Might I be able to request a 'channel wing' system? They are known to be unstable with a single propeller, fair warning.
ouch! poor litle GEV :)
Indeed. :)
