travel. A Swiss inventor has launched a solar-powered boat, while in West Germany
there is a completely new craft. The ram air ground effect craft is neither a boat
nor a plane. It's a speedy skimmer of the waves.

Phantastic, and also quite simple technology compared to all those Highspeed ferries.
Shame the technology never came really forward. Wonder where it got stuck... Would love to have one
Good news, the technology has continued forward enormously. Those big floats are gone. Check youtube for WIG craft (Wing In Ground effect). Also check out the "Hoverwing". They do the same with a small hovercraft. And you can have one.

The build is great and the tech is old. Only thing is, the narrator toots it as if it is new innovation. Its just another dude puttering, made something himself, because industry is slow.
This Tech is not old but well approved and unique. Tandem Wing Constructions are approved by Dipl. Ing. Günther W. Jörg, genious engineer and inventor.
