310,000 miles. That’s incredible. And the condition of the car is fantastic. It’s a testament to the quality of the engines and engineering of the Jaguar. Who said JLR products don’t last!
To be fair, having worked in the motor trade for many years, I could say from experience that I have seen 10 times the amount of high mileage BMW's than I have Jaguars. Much rather have a 7 series BMW than one of these, as I like sitting in a modern quality interior, and not a 1970's drinks cabinet. German cars in this sector DO have a high quality interior, I think you're confusing 'quality' with 'chintzy', as that is how I have always experienced Jags.
@@DjNikGnashers BMW isn’t Chintzy? Have you seen the new 7 series with its folding down cinema screen, crystal dashboard & door trims and gigantic beaver tooth grill and split headlights? That car has absolutely zero class whatsoever, screams ‘look at me, I’m a Chinese businessman’. I would say the G11 is the last classy 7 series. The interior although a bit boring to look at, was well put together and overall the car is rather handsome. Shame BMW have lost their way completely.
@@TJW04 Yes the new XM is a disgusting piece of crap. Some of the newer BMW's are starting to get horrible styling I agree. The normal level 5 and 3 series are still very solid and decent inside and out. My main point was reliability, as the OP somehow thinks the brand which finished in the bottom 3 or ALL brands on every reliability survey of the past 10 years, is now somehow reliable just because he had one lucky experience.
I'm no expert with these vehicles but something about Jags always stuck out to me. When everyone wanted a merc/bmw as a child, I was the odd one out who wanted the Jag. Really gorgeous and unique cars.
As a massive lifelong Jag fan, I was never 100% over the x351, until I owned one. Absolutely incredible machines. I could never understand the back-end design, but I think it is based on the series 3 XJ with its triangular rear lights. Great video guys, thanks.
I own from brand new a 2018 model Jaguar XJL Autobiography - 67,000 miles. Best car in 47 years of high mileage I have ever owned. Beautiful inside and out. Reliable, dependable, 3.0 V6 Diesel utterly economical with great accelerartion and smooth Could not recommend more highly.
That just oozes luxury and comfort.. I'd so easily fall asleep in the back of that .. even on a journey to tesco from yours @kenny 🤣🤣 ... really like how your mixing it up with these kind of reviews 👌👌 keep on smashing it lads
Bought one a few years back, bargain and beautiful build quality. Everyone wants a lift!! Only complaint is JLR dealers who are incompetent. Thankfully i have a specialist ....
I absolutely love the rear of the car. Those vertical lights are stylish and make it look distinctive as opposed to the generic 'designs' but not 'style', of BMWs and Audis.
Look at this car and try and convince me that the equivalent BMW/MERC/AUDI are better looking -YOU CAN'T -THIS CAR IS A STUNNER EVEN IN THE PITCH DARK LET ALONE DAYLIGHT - FROM ANY ANGLE !!. PS - I have an XF and as soon as i win the lottery I'm getting one of these beauties. These XJ/XF/F type models will age beautifully and attain the same design status as the E Type has in the coming years .
the main reason to go for the L is the rear luxury space and the reference system that is specifically designed for the XJL. 27 speakers 1300w surround with several firsts in sound technology for an automobile.
That XJ looks far nicer then any newer BMW with those hideous front ends. BMW reliability is even worse then Jaguar and that is really saying something
The editing just gets better and better 👌 Another awesome review Kenny and Drew, I really do like a Jag so much quality and luxury 😈 But I'm bmw through and through 🤣🤣🤣👍🏴
Thank you. Hope you are enjoying it. My dad couldn't stay away from Jaguar and only owned the Focus a short while before he realized his mistake. Thanks Ken
I own two BMWs, a manual 6-speed 530i E60 and an E39 M5. However, I still need to own Jags... - Mk2 - XJ-S - XJ12 S3 - X300 XJR - X308 XJR - X351 I worked at Jag as a development engineer for 10 years, so it's a company very close to my heart.
Thank you for sitting at the rear seats to illustrate the headroom. Ive always been sceptic about this car's enormous length but with mediocre interior room. Its not that bad tho. I really wanna get this but the roads in my country are really bad, the ground clearance.
Way nicer than ANY BMW which attract a certain type of person ⚠️ Jaaaags are for the more reserved distinguished folk who have nothing to prove 😅 XJ will be replacing my Rover 75 soon (250k miles never let me down since acquisition in 2007)
I had a BMW 740 it was the biggest disappointment. It was in the shop every month with some kind of problem. Finally had enough, so I turned it in for a jaguar XJL i’ve had it now for five years and never had single problem with it. It only goes in for its regular schedule maintenance. I highly recommend this vehicle not to mention. It is absolutely beautiful. It definitely gets a lot of attention from other drivers when they see it on the highway. I’m always getting a thumbs up, or when it’s parked I always see people looking at it.
Hi man how are you , what’s the year of your xj , how many miles it has . I am looking at 2011 xj super sport . 38000miles , I had x6 50i ,e71 m , totally nightmare , it hit a point that I am afraid to touch it hahahahah . What do you think of reliability of xj
Was thinking about buying one, but decided agains it due to the short comings of this vehicle. For an example, I have fairly long legs and need for the driver's seat to have the possibility to extend towards my knees when sitting. Also the car that I was looking at seemed that the buttons were melting. I found out that this was a more than common occurrence and is not what I expect from a "Luxury" vehicle. I also missed features as simple as a Heads-Up display that I think is not even provided on any XJ. All in all, I think that I will stick with my BMWs and Benzes.
I have a Jaguar XJl. I love it! Roomy, stylish, love the rear passenger entertainment package, fast, luxurious. A great travel car because it offers me 570 miles of range which supersedes any EV in America, giving me the ability to keep moving. The only way i would park my cat to travel is when the day comes the United States of America finally wakes up and builds american highspeed bullet train technology. The XJL is a gret car...
In fairness, We would love to review one I depth. We are only going on when Kenny & his father test drove a few 740Ds and compared them to the Jag. Thank you for watching! - Drew
If you think the XJ isn't a great-looking car then you need a trip to Specsavers lol the back end is better looking than the front in my opinion, the XF like the XE are boring to look at, again my opinion, as for the BMW 7 series that's just as bad, BM trouble you's all look the same to me, I was next to what I thought was a 5 series but it was a 7. Every time I go to get into mine I look at it and think it's lovely. Each to their own I suppose, I used to think my Rover SD1 was a great-looking car and still do.

Why ????
To have even bigger cost of repairs than 7series.

They are beautiful car, no doubt about. But the Jaguar is extremely unreliable.
Can't be that unreliable with 320k miles on ⚠️
BMW and Audi have fallen by the wayside by all accounts.
5.25 meters, not millimetres. 🙄
If you listen properly, Drew says '5255 millimeters' which equates to 5.25 meters.
