How come he is spot on? He is just stating the facts. There is a very strange phenomena among Pakistani people. They consider Army next to God. They have actually made idol out of it. The fault doesn't lie with Army but the overall make up of civil society is like that. These people haven't been able to get rid of feudalism which India did right after Independence. Infact Army challenges the hegemony of Chaudaries, Vaderas, Sardars and Khan which isn't acceptable to most of them. So they have created such a narrative which is anti establishment. As a researcher of social sciences; it can be very safely deduced that Pakistani society is at the verge of collapse due to the weakest marals prevailing among civil society and obviously Army would follow the suite. I often read Pakistanis giving examples of other countries where Army stays at bay. However, once questioned many Pakistani people were unable to answer that do they think that their civil society is at par with civil societies of those countries. Bottom line is that whenever the Pakistani civil society would correct itself their Army would also be get corrected in parallel.

I listened Air marshal Asghar Khan's interview, he said very similar thing. He also said that he asked Ayyub Khan if he has decided to start a war and he asked me how I can say, he said I mentioned the deployment of troops in this manner means poking at India. Asghar Khan was retired at the time but knew what was happening. My elders fought in 1948 and 1965 but they used to say this is not my army because it has become corrupt.

What people don't realize is the fact that a conflict in disputed lands is not a justification to violate International Boundary (IB). The UN and the World compromised their own international laws regarding IB, which encouraged India and the result was 71. Pak Army faced 3 to 5 times larger enemy and successfully halted their advance, repelled them and did not let the Indian Army achieve their targets (tea in LHR Jim Khana etc). If you fight a 3 to 5 time larger enemy, and survive without any major damage, then by all standards, it's a victory for smaller force and a shame for larger one. Is it not common sense? Pak Army has a rich history of fighting larger enemies. As larger as 50 times (FM Manekshaw) and more.

It would be much better if Mr Ghamadi keep himself restricted to his actual subject that is religion and doesn't try to become a super scholar who knows All. Whatever he said about 65 war he either doesn't have the complete grip over the subject or he is intentionally distorting the facts to please certain lobbies! May be he wants to join that gang who are out to condemn the army. He said in Run of Kuch Pakistan achieved some Strategic success! At least he should learn the implication of using these terms first. He should also try to learn the difference between Cease fire Line and International Border! Both have different implications which are greatly different. Then his statement that in Kashmir Pakistan offensive was stalled therefore Comd was changed and that after that Operation Grand Slam was started speak his ignorance of the actual facts and he is giving misleading wrong statement which is not becoming of his stature. His comment about "Who won the War in 65" is also question. Ill just recommend him to read few books written by Indian Generals themselves about 65 war. He would feel sorry for giving this statement too. Im really surprised that he is giving full concession to India and negating All stances of Pakistan. How come he is spot on? He is just stating the facts. There is a very strange phenomena among Pakistani people. They consider Army next to God. They have actually made idol out of it. The fault doesn't lie with Army but the overall make up of civil society is like that. These people haven't been able to get rid of feudalism which India did right after Independence. Infact Army challenges the hegemony of Chaudaries, Vaderas, Sardars and Khan which isn't acceptable to most of them. So they have created such a narrative which is anti establishment. As a researcher of social sciences; it can be very safely deduced that Pakistani society is at the verge of collapse due to the weakest marals prevailing among civil society and obviously Army would follow the suite. I often read Pakistanis giving examples of other countries where Army stays at bay. However, once questioned many Pakistani people were unable to answer that do they think that their civil society is at par with civil societies of those countries. Bottom line is that whenever the Pakistani civil society would correct itself their Army would also be get corrected in parallel.

It would be much better if Mr Ghamadi keep himself restricted to his actual subject that is religion and doesn't try to become a super scholar who knows All. Whatever he said about 65 war he either doesn't have the complete grip over the subject or he is intentionally distorting the facts to please certain lobbies! May be he wants to join that gang who are out to condemn the army. He said in Run of Kuch Pakistan achieved some Strategic success! At least he should learn the implication of using these terms first. He should also try to learn the difference between Cease fire Line and International Border! Both have different implications which are greatly different. Then his statement that in Kashmir Pakistan offensive was stalled therefore Comd was changed and that after that Operation Grand Slam was started speak his ignorance of the actual facts and he is giving misleading wrong statement which is not becoming of his stature. His comment about "Who won the War in 65" is also question. Ill just recommend him to read few books written by Indian Generals themselves about 65 war.
