Five minutes in but they are playing OW1 offtank Dva (to varying degrees of success) instead of OW2 main tank Dva. Babysitting your backline and dm'ing your teammates while they poke was viable when you played with 2 tanks and the other tank could take space. This is what it feels like, like they're waiting for the main tank to take the space and they want to assist them and the team
@victorrq6826 I was an off tank main, played some main tank too but pretty much quit when OW2 went to 1 tank. I now play Widowmaker and Tracer. Very much looking forward to 6v6, may even play comp for the first time since season 4
I like that the player said "I didn't see any mistakes" not "I didn't make any mistakes" We all get blinded by our own biases. We look at things and rationalize them away because we believe we're sound, rational people. The fact that he sought out emongg's input means he knows there's something up. He just can't see it.
Something i wanted to point out. For map diversity you may have to open up the length of submissions. We wont see the new game mode or push very often because they dont always go very long. Those maps people struggle on a lot but we dont see reviews of them because they are quicker. Would you be able to start including them?
@azurecandy6815 he has a time requirement. I've posted a video he's reviewed before and I tried submitting a where are they now with a new map and he (editors) denied it for length. It was too short though it was still an overtime game
Not a pro, but I really have to emphasize the point you made about getting bloodthirsty. Players nab a skill and keep pushing for more when they could’ve just as easily regrouped for a moment, healed up, and pushed as 5v4. This sense of bloodthirst tends to make low rank a blood fest and makes everyone scattered.
Basically if they have a clear idea of what to do they play it decently. If they aren’t completely sure what to do they do the worst things possible lol
They said they rewatched this and saw nothing they did wrong lol. I'm not surprised their team reported them, at times it seems like they peel and sit doing nothing for sometime.
did you watch the beginning? they don't say that they "did nothing wrong", to quote them they "couldn't spot any mistakes i (they) made". Clear difference lolol one's refusing blame and the other is not noticing their own mistakes.(most of the time because they genuinely just need someone else to point it out for them so they can improve their gameplay)
13:56 I don’t normally point things out that bother me but the DM usage in this part is so unbelievably irksome that I can’t stand to watch this. They no joke DM every 2 seconds even when they don’t even have a DM to use. Absolutely no cooldown management.
Bro must have adhd dm'ing and flying around like he's got double the abilities and half the cooldown time. Main problem is patience for this player, cause he's trying to do to much.
9:05 IMO, ow2 skins have the wrong idea. No point in having nice skins when the player can't see them. A much better skin (taking a leaf from valorant books) is to have different kill animations or simply different sound feedbacks when you have elims.
I’m sad cuz I’m gold one and this bro is was plat 4 with game play like this. Bro had a fluke winning streak to peak at plat 4. The game is just balancing him out to where he should be😢. I’ve been at diamond 3 with tank and after the massive reset I can’t get competent teammates to get back to even plat it’s sad.
The game balancing stopped inflating player ranks toward higher ranks. In the past I'd lambast Overwatch's ranked system for unhealthily making it appear that people were playing better than they were. Same happens in StarCraft 2 and Heroes of the Storm as well. Blizzard let it happen. Blizzard Diamond used to be Gold for every other game out there. If you cannot climb out of a rank and you blame it on your teammates, then you are at fault. Get a healthier mental about the overall game and continue improving what you have control over, not complain about what is outside of your control.
@@ThatHavardStudentnormally I would agree but I’m consistently pulling my weight against the other team, using tips emongg and other top 500 players have stated on how to climb, doing what I can to assist my team whether it be go in aggressive with them or play more passive to help them out, I’ve changed my gameplay to better suit to helping the team and realizing the mistakes I make in game and what i need to correct but I can only do so much when (a real game I’ve had) i have an Ashe for a teammate that thinks they need to hold the second point initial choke on Hollywood in front of me as rein instead of being on high ground mid range. 🤷♂️ trust me I know where I should be. And it’s not gold. Plat 3-2 would be acceptable but max diamond 4-2 cuz I know that’s my skill issue max. I’m not some masters player, but I am competent in my rank, I just need competency from the rest of my team to help me climb. The biggest mistake made in my rank I’ve noticed is position from my teammates and my own personal retreat routes. I’ve noticed my wrongs and have been correcting them. I’ve noticed teammates wrongs, comm the issues in voice, and still get a defiant teammate and we lose. The amount of players in my rank have decent enough aim and punish the mistakes made by my teammates and myself And it’s really hard to win games when teammates won’t fix the mistakes you are seeing they are making in game. I’ve had people call out my game play in VC and when they have a certain way they want to play and communicate with me and we become more cohesive as a team, we have better outcomes, not always a win, but at least a much closer match if we lose or sometimes we just steamroll them.
@@Mors2108you’d think so but not with the terrible decision making my teammates make consistently. If the would do more research and take the tips from top 500 players like I do, it would be a much easier time winning, we all make mistakes but seeing as how I’ve done what I could to be more aware of my own gameplay and fixing things I can, it just sucks to have incompetence running rampant win my lobbies and too many times it’s just horrendous decision making by my teammates, the biggest one in my games and the need for my teammates to get aggressive and try and get more kills on a team fight win and all of of sudden getting reversed because they decide to funnel in one by one and die instead of setting back up for the next team fight. We already won that round, why push in for kills when it’s unnecessary?
survive. sometimes all you can do is play your life and not give the enemy team free space/kills/etc. in this particular instance, backing up and using cover until the ults run out gives them enough time to regroup instead of frantically running out one by one in last ditch overtime effort to stop the payload. if dva hadn't gone in on a wall-window combo, she could have kept her team alive, stalled the payload at the corner, and given her cass time and space for a safer high noon than he got. and if she spent the whole while breaking rein shield, they wouldn't have anywhere to hide except behind the payload or by getting off point. either way, it's easy cleanup from there and a win instead of a loss.
@ That would still mean not to do that. Like my confusion is that they said that as if a change in the objective could’ve made that play the best course of action. But she was more often then not going to get obliterated making that play.
you just need to get creative. use boosters to very quickly go up and down around the corpse and that'll get the message across and honestly be more annoying than just tbagging
vod reviews aren't about getting to experience the action and suspense of a game. it's about examining gameplay. watching various types of videos is about having the right expectations. if you're expecting to be able to watch the intense moments uninterrupted, you're not going to enjoy the video as much. but in this case, your expectations aren't appropriate for the situation.
I wanna clarify for this dva, she said that she didn't see her mistakes not that she had none.
Ive had a similar issue.
Clickbait title that is unfair to the dva player:/

One thing i really like about emongg, is that he's humble; and very honest about mistakes that even the top players are susceptible to.

Would love to see this player again when 6v6 is being tested, and also the resurgence of off-tanks that stopped playing without a second tank

that mythic weapon idea you had is rlly cool
If I was facing this dva I would be so happy because they are wasting their DM
I play bastion a lot, so yea I would love to play vs him lol
Also, with the Sym wall, they can't get healed through it.

After hearing he intentionally depletes his dm around the 6:50 mark (if that’s actually him in chat) that’s is legit feeding.
