We get a glimpse into his life from an early age, to what convention life has been like for Ward, and some fun stories from the One Piece live action sets in South Africa.

Seriously, Mihawk's character is such a dangerous role to play. The amount of people that instantly fell in love with him and the fanbase around him, I would argue, rivals even Zoro. Even though we've only seen mihawk a handful of times. I'd be curious to know if there's more zoro fans or mihawk fans from the anime.

I'm really glad that the opportunity to make the show was given to people who genuinely love the series and wished to do it justice. It shows and deserves all the accolades it had got. Hope South Africa would get more projects like outside of One Piece moving forward.

Shanks is one of my favorite characters and I’d love to hear from the guy who brought him to life as I don’t think he has taken any interviews in the past

My sister and I call him Peter “Radio Silent” Gadiot and joke that he lives in a fortress off the grid because we have never seen or heard from him at all lol

He can switch accents really quick, that's probably one of the reasons they why casted him as Mihawk.

Hearing that he practiced swordsmanship on his own with a home made sword is amazing and hilarious

I want to see a panel of all of the "mature" actors in One Piece........separate from the main cast. Steve Ward and Jeff Ward seem like two dudes that would be almost way to much alike. Zeph and Garp.........similar. Just amazing what this show pulled off.
Netflix really missed out not putting out more promo materials involving Jeff, Steven, and Peter for season 1. I hope they will be featured more in future seasons.

@@thestarkster9940Especially Peter, I don’t think I saw him in any promotional material at all. At least Jeff has done a few panels at conventions and Steven has an amazing fandom presence both inside and outside professional interviews, but I haven’t seen or heard from Peter at all.
Thank you for this interview. SJW seems like a very nice down to earth man. Really wish him only positive interaction with his fans, and hope to see more of him in the future. His portrayal of Mihawk was Magnificent!

I knew nothing about the manga the anime or anything about One Piece.........saw a reaction channel.........got a netflix subscription. This guy did amazing in the role and comparing it to what little I have seen of what the drawn character looks like...........he is as perfect as could be possible.

Great Interview, I love Steven as Mihawk and I was so glad when I followed him on instagram and saw what an amazing person he is. It's true that he always reads or answers our messages! I would love if he could come at a convention to Greece! I really hope he can spend more time with his family

The fact he had almost no sword training and was self-admittedly bad at it at first...and then crushed the Mihawk fights to the point where he makes it look lazy; he is clearly VERY good at learning fast 😮
