Never seen anyone so proud to declare that they are a tuna in their previous lives. Kudos to you. 👍

Mary Amper I know I will never have a tuna that huge to work I’m so I am living vicariously through this chef lol
This place is great. I went with my GF at the time and it's tucked in, kind of hard to find, but very cozy. I think there were like 7 or 8 seats for the sushi bar.
The chef if very entertaining and very fast in execution. We had 6 or 7 courses and it was like $350 for the two of us not including drinks. Would recommend to anyone who loves sushi.

You know what's even crazier???? I was in there 3 nights ago and when neetow came out he farted right on my steak. At first I thought it was just part of his recipe. But then I noticed he wasnt doing it on anyone elses steak. So I confronted neetow and farted on him. He loved the fart.

You guys at Eater nailed it once again. I can't describe this feeling I get whenever I see one of your uploads on Japanese gastronomy. Your videos are a source of inspiration and make me want to travel to Japan once again. Thank you.
Hello I love your music and I’m a big fan
Nah, i think its fine for the first few videos, but after a while i just think the japanese are too pretentious with their food. Change my mind.

I love how they wrapped the basic rice cooker with a bamboo mat. Very classy
I busted out laughing and was wondering if anybody else noticed.
It's not a rice cooker, it's a rice polisher, and the bamboo mat keeps rice dust from getting everywhere.
"As for what i learned about sushi from my father.
It was not about sushi perse, but how to care for customers."

Vegas local here... I had the absolute pleasure of being one of the first diners at his establishment on opening day and since then I've visited several times over the years. Chef Mizoguchi-san has ruined sushi for me, in a good way. Every place I eat at now I always compare to his immaculate service and handling and presentation of the ingredients. He is truly a master in the art of sushi. They practice omotenashi style service, which basically means that they treat you with respect, anticipate your needs and provide them before you even have to ask. The price tag is comparable to what you would expect in the "high-end" sushi houses on the strip, but the value you receive is far better, whereas the strip spots you are paying for the "show" the ambiance and for the famous names. At Yui you are truly paying for the quality of the ingredients and the care and preparation of them. I'm looking forward to their re-opening in May and can't wait to sit down at his beautiful single piece bar and enjoy truly amazing quality in the company of this master chef.
Awesome. I have a reservation for next Saturday and can't wait (first-timer!)
Ah, great to hear they reopened!
had high hopes for wakuda, but it felt more like a club in there than a sushi restaurant - a bit too dark and a bit too loud for my tastes. the sushi was tasty, but not worth the hefty price tag. sushisamba... as a japanese brazilian, it failed on both concepts. i booked this place for my birthday (which coincides with an event i'll be working in vegas), and i am super excited!! never thought i would have good sushi in vegas, but it attracts some of the best chefs.

Best Omakase video I've ever seen. This chefs personality is amazing!
I've only seen this video of Chef Mizoguchi, but I already have great respect for him and admire him. I see something rare in him, he is so passionate about what he is doing, Its kind of humbling. Its kind of chilling how poetic he was in the beginning, that the meat from the sea belongs with the salt from the sea, and the meat from the land belongs with the salt from the land.
He seems like a fun chef who really enjoys what he does. Good energy.
I love this series so much 😍

Only in Vegas at the Wynn hotel that you can get the certified 100% real Wagyu/Kobe beef! The other place is in Park Restaurant in Montreal.
There may be other places in North America and I'm certain about these two getting the real (very expensive 1%er) deal.
@@amazingdany Wagyu means "Japanese Cow" .. there are many places in the world where you can get real Wagyu. "Kobe" is a specific breeder of a specific type of cow (Tajima-Gyu) in Hyogo prefecture (of which the capital is called "Kobe", hence the name). This might be difficult to get, however there are other Japanese breeders of wagyu as well, such as the mentioned Miyazaki or Hokkaido. They all have a competition with each other each year for the best quality and the last few years it was Miyazaki who won, not even Kobe, so while Kobe has a famous name, arguably Miyazaki has better beef.
Laws about exporting wagyu frozen have changed since around 2012, so now it's possible to get it all over the world.
He has so much passion on his work. I never seen someone accomplish a near perfection better than this one.
That moment when he was serving the plates along with the background violin instrumental music was so awesome. gave me goosebumps.

Tsukaime - Hearthstone Coaching that’s an easy $200 per head meal
That is a once a year birthday meal for us poor folks.
@@bugsy1028 pretty sure it's closer to $500
this tasting menu is $500?! can someone confirm
*found it, it's $210
I feel like Americans are less willing to pay upwards to $500 a meal. Even though Americans are rich, food is usually quite cheap in the USA. I only been to one restaurant in the USA that was that much, and it was the French Laundry in Napa Valley... the bill for 4 of us came out to around $2,800... BUT its supposed to be one of the best restaurants in the WORLD.
Japanese chefs are really ahead of others, when you see all the elements.
Wesley Martins they take pride in their work
I sorta disagree with that statement. I think their potential lies on the fact that they don't mess with their traditions. therefore I can't say they are ahead of the rest, because they haven't really decided to pursue anything further. Not to take away from their work, just stating that I don't feel like are ahead. They simply perfected the craft over hundreds of years while western culture is usually more focused on the next big thing
It's because they have Kekkei Genkai ability. 😁
Look, so many cultures have cuisine that's amazing. Except the British. Not the British
@@aaroncruz5854 That's for sure. But when it comes to work ethics, and pure dedication, I've never seen someone who can beat the japanese. And I watch a lot of food related stuff with proper chefs. When it comes to dishes and flavors, surely the whole world have plenty of.
