The writing here and Carolyn’s performance are both ahead of their time. Like something out of the 90’s. Carolyn Jones RIP, one of the most mercurial actresses to ever do it
Hitchcock loved Carolyn and used her in an amusing little role in 'The Man Who Knew Too Much" and had her play a murderess in a Hitchcock Presents (The Cheney Vase) .
varsi was stunning in her debut that year. the scene where lana turner slaps her was real. carolyn jones was absolutely remarkable and this performance will always be remembered.
@TheSuppActress I didnt' think she was that bad, I thought she was quite funny actually. But hey, I'm an Elsa Lanchester fan so I'm quite biased. Like I said though, 1957 was a bad year for supporting actress. What did you make of Hope Lange's performance in Peyton Place?
She was good, but not the best that year. Out of the five lacklustre Oscar nominees in 1957 I would have given it to Elsa Lanchester for Witness for the Prosecution. Hope Lange comes a good second though, purely for her performance in the witness stand in Peyton Place.
What a criminally underrated actress Carolyn Jones was.

Unusual looks , utterly striking a captivating and fabulous actress...
She had her nose made smaller by the time she played Morticia Adams.
SHE DESERVED THAT OSCAR. >:(
Only the nomination
2:52 Carolyn...That's french! *smooches up arm* ;D she is absolutely spectacular in every possible way :3

@MrRC1011
No one has since been able to top it either. No one comes close to Carolyn's ability to act, she was amazing
she was so cool.so very cool.

CAROLYN FOR EVER!!!****
And then he became a supreme court justice!
Aside from Morticia Addams, this scene is what Carolyn Jones is best known for, right?
And her famous line... Tell me you love me, you don't have to mean it.

The beatnik chick version of Carolyn Jones!
@TheSuppActress Diane Varsi was very wooden in my opinion
The... "exitinginliest"? :)
Carolyn Jones seemed too mature.
