And people think only Pixar knows how to tug your heartstrings.
Dude, Pixar movies are so cheesy you can practically taste them.
@@ma3mc3mu-X tell me about it....
@@ma3mc3mu-X Really
Well at the moment they definitly dont know how to tug our heartstrings
@@ma3mc3mu-X Except for Up. That was actually a good movie
I remember when How to Train your Dragons 2 was released, I was crying at the scene where they had Stoick's funeral. The animators did a good job with the music that accompanied the sad scene...
You’re not the only one my friend.i had to walk out the room as i was absolutely sobbing
Not to mention Gobber's eulogy that was so beautifully voice acted
@@Tobenatorr agreed
"You're as beautiful as the day I lost you" always annihilates me and leaves me in a sobbing mess
The panic attack scene in "Puss in Boots" was so movingly realistic, and unlike Velma, which is supposedly for adult audiences, it didn't try to dumb down the scene for its target audience of children.
Do not compare Puss in Boots with Velma
It's "supposedly for adult audiences" yet the first thing it does is openly MOCK its audience.
You know you’ve screwed up big time when a movie aimed at children manages to handle mature concepts better than your show made for adults
I cried more at the end of Kung Fu Panda 2 when we find out the dad is still alive. Such a perfect ending to a perfect sequel
I agree, but without the Po Finds the Truth scene that final scene wouldn’t hit as hard. That truth scene is still imo the best scene in any Dreamworks film.
Stoick's Viking Funeral will never not make me cry. The voice acting from Gobber during the eulogy was so heartfelt that you cannot help but tear up. I was balling the first time I saw it
Stoick's death gets me every time especially when Gobber gives a speech at his impromptu viking funeral and everybody is crying and When Hiccup said goodbye to Toothless I was heartbroken more than I care to admit😭😂
Oooooh ook.
Dreamworks is good at making us shed tears
Seriously that moment in Home when Tip reunites with her mom has me holding back tears every single time.
One DreamWorks moment that makes me sad the most is the Santa Coloma backstory/flashback from Puss In Boots: The Last Wish.
It's the most heartbreaking, saddest story I ever heard and seen.😥😥😥😥😥
I feel bad for Puss being scared to marry Kitty. The music is so devastating.
It makes me want to listen to Father and Son by Cat Stevens.
Bring the Ravagers to pay their respects, as they did at Yondu’s service.
@@Jeremiah_Rivers76 Precisely.
Watching this video for the first time, I easily sympathized with each one of these sad moments. But right here at 14:06 is when I couldn’t hold the tears back. For those of us who came into this world with pure goodness and light in our hearts… it’s very true: most if not all of our stories may not have happy beginnings but we shouldn’t become the pain and darkness and fear we’ve ever experienced in any point of our lives
Po’s mother sacrificing herself to save her son always makes me cry
Fallen father nearly got me and I find it number one at how it separates toothless and hiccup and then we just hear this speech and the music just makes it more sad
Hiccup yelling at Toothless after Stoic was killed. Jack Frost’s origins was something else that brought me to the verge of tears. Even Moses crying over the death of his nephew is moving. I loved how Toothless returned to Berk to visit Hiccup for Snoggletog in How To Train Your Dragon Homecoming.
Hands down, How to Train Your Dragon is one of the best trilogies ever!
A lot of tear jerker moments in Kung Fu Panda
Oogway ascending (Oogway knowing its his time and Shifu seeing his adoptive father go)
Po finding the truth of his past (Po's mother sacrificing herself)
Tigress backstory (Not being accepted by anyone in the orphanage and always wanting Shifu's approval)
Shifu facing Tai Lung (Shifu facing his own demons while Tai Lung only wanted to make his own father proud)
Shen and the Soothsayer (Shen believing his parents hated him and that he can only make it right now)
Kai backstory (Kai doing all he can to protect Oogway and feeling hurt by Oogway stopping what he did to protect his friend as well as Oogway being pained by having to stop Kai)
Po vs Tai Lung (Tai Lung looks in the scroll and says his reflection is nothing)
Shen's death (Closes his eyes and accepts death)
Kai's death (Tries to grab Oogway's amulet because he still loves him)
Po’s origin story from “Kung Fu Panda 2” definitely deserves the #1 spot. It still makes me emotional to this day.😭😭😭
I thought Hallelujah from Shrek; Stoick disowing Hiccup from HTTYD got me in tears.
Jesse telling woody about being abandoned.
Tim Allen and Hank Williams balled their eyes out the first time they saw it. Nuff said.
I found the scene in rise of guardians with the part where he goes he sees me I find happy but sad at the same time because of how it starts because you really lose your imagination once you get older but then it comes back from past memories of that you have
152: I definitely choked up of Po’s backstory. His mother’s sacrifice just gave me tears
And him crying cause his mom left so the wolves wouldn't find him
The only one moment that made me actually cry in a DreamWorks movie was the end of the third HTTYD film from when Hiccup and the other Berkians say goodbye to their dragons, including Toothless.
I’m not at all surprised number one is number one. That scene chokes me up every time
I remember watching puss in boots at the cinema, and I’ve never heard the audience be more silent than during the panic attack scene. You could literally hear a pin drop.
I will say number one I could agree with because of the past being revealed and that quote your story may not have a happy beginning but that doesn’t mean your story won’t have a happy ending just hits differently and I love how it’s a step by step and then po finds inner peace and the transition with the water droplet is perfect and then you just hear po crying and crying and then we’re put back to po as the water droplet falls in the plant and the water drips to the ground indicating he let his past go which is something that Shen can’t do he held that fear of loss and anger It impacted shen when he came back and his parents feared him so much because of what he caused
I think that moment in the Prince of Egypt, when Moses' mother puts him in the basket should have been on this list.
These moments are truly Heartbreaking
But No DreamWorks Product Broke my Heart the Way its Animated shows Did
Especially She Ra And The Princesses of Power AND Tales Of Arcadia
Don’t forget the ending of trollstopia
No matter how many times I rewatch KFP2 Po's past will always make me ugly. It's just the mom's face that she has to sacrifice her life in order for Baby Po to survive and his crying for his mama as she leaves just always breaks my heart to no end💔💔
The ending of Kung Fu Panda 2 must be an honorable mention.
SPOILER BARRIER
after watching the whole movie, earing that "my son is alive" will make you feel something
Me watching any Dreamwork movies with a sad scene: *not sad*
Me watching "Puss In Boots: The Last Wish" when Goldilocks had a family: *ALMOST CRIES*
The prince of Egypt made my heart heavy; especially the part of the seven plagues, the bible is hardcore as fuck sometimes.
Dreamworks is so easily the best western animation company
Po’s memories, The Plaques, such amazing dramatic, heartbreaking scenes.
Joseph princess elf Egypt was one of the best animations ever made
The end of HTTYD 3 freaking killed me. i was sobbing for hours.
Two moments that ALWAYS make me tear up didn't even get honorable mentions.
#1: How To Train Your Dragon, when Toothless supports Hiccup up as he is walking for the first time on his prosthetic leg.
#2: How To Train Your Dragon 2. "You're as beautiful as the day I lost you."
Something else that I think deserved an honorable nomination: The flashbacks of both Tai Lung's and Tigress's childhoods. The latter hits hard twofold, first because Tigress grows up feeling unloved, and second because you know Shifu just can't bring himself to care for another like he did for Tai Lung.
I have to say, however, that, looking back, I feel NOTHING about Oogway passing into the beyond because... Well, because he's kind of a dick who unnecessarily caused all the suffering and misery of the original KFP movie to begin with.
One of my biggest pet peeves about the movie is how it squandered an opportunity to make Tai Lung a greater parallel to Po. If he'd explained himself, not as wanting the secrets of the scroll to become the dragon warrior, but as having had a revelation that he already IS the dragon warrior and he only attacked the temple to prove it, that would have made him so much more than just a powerful antagonist. And if he'd only started to think there really were dark secrets in that scroll because of the insane lengths they went to in order to keep him from it, only for him to get his hands on the scroll and have his original presumptions confirmed, that would have made for a much more epic meltdown too.
Oogway had to have known damn well that the dragon scroll would be, for Tai Lung, a complete dead end. He would have looked at it, been confused by it, probably thought he had to do something in order to reveal the otherwise invisible letters or something, and... I don't know, either refocused himself closer to the right direction or gone feeble and senile obsessing over it. Instead, Oogway made the scroll out to be a thing of immense value and denied it to anyone, and I have no doubt he knew exactly what Tai Lung would do in turn.
So... I've got my own personal honorary mention: In memory of Tai Lung, who never got to be as great of a character as he could have been, and never got the chance at redemption, or even closure, that such a character would have deserved.
I'm pretty sure it's Louie, not Louis. That said, I love good movie moments because I cry more with happy stuff than sad stuff. See the ending of Nanny McPhee Returns for proof why.
The scene from Trolls in which they all sing “True Colors” while in the pot should have been on here too.
Hiccup was really an idiot in How to Train Your Dragon 2. Toothless had literally no control over his mind
I cried during both how to train your dragon scenes
When I first watched po’s mother sacrifice, I cried \ Totally deserves Number 1
7:47 Okay THERE IT IS...
149: My heart broke when Shrek cried
Kung Fu Panda 2 always made me cry as a kid 😭
The saddest moment odlf DreamWorks is true colors from trolls just when it seems like poppy branch and all the other trolls were going to die at the hands of the evil chef bergen and the other bergen they all turned Grey with sadness and branch finally singing about his secret feelings for poppy really gets me choked up.
DreamWorks 1998 live action Paulie should've been on this list! Story of a little girl named Marie with a speech problem, learns to talk thanks to the Blue-crowned conure parrot her grandfather gave her when she was 5. they are inseparable until after trying to teach Paulie to fly and she falls off the roof of their house (her dad catches her) then the dad TAKES PAULIE AWAY! Hearing the little girl and Paulie cry for eachother, you WILL ugly cry for your childhood pet!
The rest of the movie is Paulie telling his story to the new janitor at the animal research institute Paulie was sent to after a string of other owners learning from and benefiting from Paulie's unique gift of the gab (he can actually talk, like Mr Ed)
Will Paulie ever find Marie again or is he doomed to a cold and lonely life as a research subject?
in kung fu panda 2 that moment after Shen sacrificed half his fleet with that cannon blast to get through the blockade and when everyone is holding onto ship wreckage's to remain floating on the water & when Po swims toward Tigress to check on her and then pushes her away to safety, I found that a very powerful emotional moment, but it was really the music that hit
All the how to train your dragon movies made me cry😢
When I nearly turned 10 in July and when me and my mommy watched httyd 2 as hiccup betrays
Toothless in a heartbreaking way my mommy said no he didn’t do it to hiccup in theaters
When you believe is beautiful song from the Prince of Egypt is making me cry and i sang that song in my women's choir concert from Fox high school
Imanol Lopez Romero: don't forget Goldi and her family bears, they also cry when they have meaning and nostalgia, that family is not so bad
Yes, number one ALWAYS breaks me. As a mother myself, I’d do the same for my son if I want to keep him safe.
"Hiccup!! SON!!" I have tears in my eyes as I type this! I SOBBED!!! I agree with list except for a rearrangements
1) stoics death and funeral
2) pos mums sacrifice
3) hiccup and toothless say goodbye
4) Jack frost saves his sister
5) replace shreka and fionas kiss with grubbs goodbye
6) Prince of Egypt
Man dreamworks be having me SOBBING!
The time when The Bad Guys got arrested at the gala and Marmalade framed them all especially Wolf
The Bad Guys Leaving Wolf Is Sad.
Is "UP" from Pixar? I think it deserves to be in a similar list
"Up" was made by Disney-owned Pixar.
Thank goodness the theater wasn't packed when I saw Kung Fu Panda 2 because hoo-ly shit did this film deserve the number 1 spot
All good choices but I have to put Hiccup's goodbye to Toothless as #1. Even knowing they'll be reunited, I can't get through the scene without tears.
so many many moments so little time
I don't cry at any single dremaworks film except for dragons
what made me cry from dreamworks? 5 words on my screen:
"How To Train Your Dragon"
How about a Blue Sky moments list next?
Yeah Manny and what happened to his family in the first Ice Age film
You forgot Hiccups memories of Stoick when he was a kid.
Shut up, I’m not crying you’re crying
IM AGREE THAT THOSE TO KUN FU PANDA CLIPS WAS THE SADES MOMENTS OF ALL TIME, I CRYED THEN I SAW THEM BOTH IN THE MOVIES!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 😭😭😭😭😭😭
BUT I LOVE THOSE TWO MOVIES!!!!!!!!!!❤
You forgot something. When humpty falls on the clif
10:15 Okay so in my mind Dragons 2 doesn't exist. BUT YOU'D BETTER BELIEVE THE HIDDEN WORLD DOES.
Kung fu panda was very emotional
All of them
You forgot branch story in trolls that made me cry 😭
Our world doesn't deserve you yet wise words from hiccup
But i dont think it ever will
I cried for his father like he was mines
Thanks for the crygasm
My first dream video came true, I owned that suggestion from the website but the title is different from that.
Httyd trilogy the best saga animation emotional ❤
The first time I watched the lion king I cry when simba’s father die.
Can you do top 10 saddest moments in jurassic park/jurassic world
I watched kung fu panda 2 in theatres and i was cryin when i saw tat scene. I agree kung fu panda 2 shud be no 1
Where is Tothless captured?
So sad!
Your forgot the true colors and the grey trolls from trolls and beautiful boy form mr Peabody those moments are sad 😢 😢
So the part in Spirit where we think that Rain dies, is not even on this list???
I don’t agree with that I think singer by the all the dragons that made me tear up so much that I just started crying so much I just couldn’t how far they gotten in the series the movies everything yeah the dragon saying goodbye was the most sad
Rise of the Guardians made me cry every time I see it
Dreamworks is better than Disney
Ooook.
HTTYD 3 is so bad.
"Oh no! We successfully won the battle at the end! Man, fighting to make the world a better place is too hard :/ I know! Let's give up and just lazily hope the world becomes a better place on its own without doing anything! And let's force our beloved dragons into a hole in the ocean where they'll eventually forget all about us even though it would be impossible to convince enemies that dragons aren't actually bad without them here because we'd have no evidence to prove our point! Remember kids, don't fight to make the world a better place! Just give up!"
And Toothless went from being a snarky, intelligent dragon to a slobbery, brainless dog drooling over the blandest love interest known to man.
Fuck off HTTYD 2 fan boy, People are not wrong for Defending HTTYD 3
🙊🤯👍🥰😍💗
Madagaskar Shrek und Jack Frost
The ending to HTTY: The Hidden World always gets me, But it's also okay because as it shows whether Hiccup and Toothless are together or apart they'll always be best friends and family no matter what.
No matter what.
Yeah 😭
@@joaquinm9148 It may have been like that at first, But as the clip in the video shows Hiccup let Toothless go not only so he could be with the Light Fury but also because after what happened with Grimmel Hiccup had to finally accept that the world was longer safe for dragons.
Toothless left the human world to be the alpha for the dragons, not just to be with a girl.
@@joaquinm9148 you asking for attention, sir?
The "Po Finds The Truth" sequence definitely earned the #1 spot. Seeing Po's mother give her life for him always chokes me up, especially after losing my own mom, and is just one of many reasons why _Kung Fu Panda 2_ is such an awesome piece of cinema.
Agreed
Kung Fu Panda 2 is exceptional! Idk why ppl under look it
SAME
Being a mother myself, I can see myself doing everything I can to keep my son safe. I cry every time I watch this scene…
@@vulpixfairy1985 I'm not a mother or father but she's the most holy of all DreamWorks moms for 1 deed. This scene is even sadder when you hear baby po crying
Same here that movie makes me cry and I can’t control the crying in that part it just so sad
Every Dreamworks movie over the past decade has made me cry. The ones that made me cry the hardest were Puss in Boots panic attack and Hiccup saying goodbye to Toothless
"How To Train Your Dragon" trilogy will always be in my heart, especially the second movie with Stoick's sacriface and Hiccup's denial of Toothless. I almost cried when I watched this scene, for the first time. Also inner peace from "Kung fu Panda 2" and Panic Attack from "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish" are very good and worth to remember.
When Stoic died in How To Train Your Dragon, I was so shocked that they’d kill him so early in the franchise. But, his death helped Hiccup grow more as a man and as a warrior. Definitely one of my favorite moments in a Dreamworks movie
"When we hit our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change."
- Avatar Aang (2012)
While Spirit being taken away from his mom was sad, the more upsetting scenes were when Spirit was in the train cart with the other captured horses, "Sound the Bugle" was playing (one of my songs that helps me get through depression and Bryan has a heavenly voice after what he through), he was imaging his herd in the white out, and he thought Rain was dead. That scene has a special place in my heart and the movie is my literal childhood.😔❤🐎
I WAS ABOUT TO COME AND SAY THIS! Spirit deserves a spot in this list, but they picked the wrong scene to use. While him getting captured was indeed sad, it didn't have me in tears anywhere near like when he and Rain fell over the waterfall and he was certain she was gonna die. Hell, just listening to the MUSIC in that scene still gives me wet eyes 😭😭😭
Same
Just because DreamWorks has its funniest moments it does not mean that the waterworks aren’t working as well.
"The Prince Of Egypt" and "Joseph King Of Dreams" have always got me emotional moments like Yocheved's Sing A Lullaby and Joseph Forgive His Brothers.
I think the most emotional dreamworks moment for me is when Jamie finally sees Jack Frost in Rise of the Gaurdians it gets choked me up every time.
I was JUST about to say the same thing. It makes me cry every time I watch it because many of us have been in Jamie’s position.
Perrito's backstory made me cry a little. I know he puts it in a humorous twist but it reminds me of how poor some pets are treated like Perrito was. I have a rescue dog named Tucker who used to belong to a drug dealer and my other dog, Sixx has a broken tail because she was dumped into a trash bin as a puppy! I'm just glad we rescued them before someone else did.
I’m a simple man. I see Hiccup and Toothless, I click.
Toothless getting captured and hiccup has been disowned by from stoick was horrifying
